UNVOTE:
may consider voting something else in a while
In post 1179, Titus wrote:Can we move on to no elimination and compliance? I am bored and this feels like an RVS that will last forever.
This is an attitude I see both you and BM spouting and it's just like:
People have solid reads, wagons are being started, people are pushing.
Were also only 3 days into deadline.
How the fuck does this possibly feel like RVS? Why are you so quick to end the day; even if your going with Pooky's plan, there's still a lack of claims so ending the day early with a No Elim vote would be awful?
No one can die. No one should die. Therefore, these votes are meaningless.
We just have me take a task and force BM to take a task after ensuring no one dies. Provided I don't fuck up tomorrow, it leaves us in a great position.
That's the proper play IMO. I have said it a million times.

Yeah but if we can't convince at least a majority of the town then it doesn't amount to anything.

I think most of the town is on board. We're just dealing with a vocal minority, thanks to Reck. I think even those voting are on board with the grouping plan.
My action is already decided. Aside from watching, I don't see anything protown to do.

DGBs ISO is pretty much "kill BM, get people to vote with me or they are scum" etc.
Also I saw someone attach lurksack to BM (I think Cakez and Flea added to this but I don't know the context) and I am floored by this because the game has been going for less than 3 days
Needless to say, the lack of people creating condensed cases for the current wagons does little to persuade me.
Also Blitzo is an interesting ISO. Little content aside from just nearly disagreeing with things and trading BMs life in this game for a conversation with DBG...
I don't know why Akarin and Murdercat are even a thing re: last page.
I want Titus to explain her meta takes and evaluate their strength openly. I think her frustration to DGB is sincere and I want to lean in on the way she approaches this plist read wise.

eh?
also re: lurksack BM he's been posting but for context he had like 200 posts a few hours into xenoblade 2 mafia and had posted 2 times the amount of the next highest poster
so this is contrasted just off of that, but I don't believe in raw activity reads, same with how I read creature, it's about the content of the posts as well.

Talking about how Blitzo hopped on BM wagon because DGB prodded him to votepark somewhere.
...for the most bad-faith, scummy ISO-analysis I've ever seen. Like, taking every post I made and trying to construe it in a scummy way is not genuine solving. Poor effort.
In post 8, Gamma Emerald wrote:Alright. I wanna start off with an RQS this game. Questions are as follows:
1) what power role have you not been that you want to try out, and why? Don’t factor in your current role, answer this question assuming you are vanilla this game.
2) If you were scum, who would be your a) D1 miselim push, b) N1 kill, and c) partner you’d want to bus you and go to the end, given each person was the correct alignment for that specific action?
3) What is your skill with mechanic-heavy setups? If you’re not skilled at them, do you intend to get better with practice or rely on others?
4) What is your favorite candy?
5) What would you say is your biggest strength and biggest weakness as town/scum/in general?
1. I'd like to be cult leader in a game where my entire cult didn't bus me to death.
2.a. probably you b. probably Titus c. Pooky or DGB
3. Generally bad, but I played a similar game to this recently. I was so bad I somehow managed to die twice before anyone else had died. But it was so fun!!
4. Candy bad.
5. Biggest strength as town = pretty much never getting mis-elimmed. Biggest strength as scum = mostly winning because my bad reads are a benefit
HE DOESN'T LIKE CANDY?! LIKE WHAT?!
Also, check out number 5. Never getting mislim'd and having bad reads. hmmm...
In post 92, SirCakez wrote:well outing the locations is good and bad

maybe but i'd rather have the entire game leashed so people dont wander off and murder each other in the room they shouldn't be in

Lol are you actually scum cake
you think outing everything now is good? I see too much risk
we've started now dude. I'm totally down with elimming in the pool of those who won't claim if we have such a thing.
In post 118, Battle Mage wrote:I feel pretty relaxed with Pooky in charge - he knows how to do this game.
Wait you relaxed with someone else in charge?
Completely! the last time we played a game similar to this I got singled out and killed by scum immediately. Pooky didn't realise I was dead and tried to rescue me....dying himself in the process.
He knows that people getting picked off sucks, and is coming up with a plan to avoid that. Total townvibes.
Or this... This is scum vibes to me. This is "I'mma coast and let other people do the hard work" and with the last post, doesn't sit well with me.
In post 189, Alisae wrote:Battle Mage has 1 task so it should be fine.
I can also go w/ Battle Mage so you feel safer, I have a 2nd task but I don't mind it if it would make you feel safer
I'm not planning to go anywhere without 3/4 people minimum.
This is interesting...
In post 37, Battle Mage wrote:i guess the alternative to all moving in a pack would be for people to pair up - easy way to identify scum.
And this is why. I'm getting a people pleaser vibe here.
In post 201, Alisae wrote:I think allowing the opportunity for scum to get an extra kill is important
we also shouldn't be sending anyone that's too important if we do try to create opportunities for scum to kill. Town can benefit off of a townie that needs to be sorted dieing.
I'm not sure on this though.
if we're just going to do the tasks and win, does sorting even matter though?
Like we've said why we still need to sort people but he's hesitant to be sorted it seems?
I dunno, I feel like I'm in a rabbit hole at this point and everythings just going to go "I'M SCUM!" at me? (¤﹏¤)
In post 195, PookyTheMagicalBear wrote:it doesnt matter if someone needs to be in a room two nights in a row. the point of leashing the entire PL is that nobody can wander off and kill you when u r in that room alone on night 2
I meant in terms of how many nights it make take to complete. We can't just visit X number of rooms each night and cover each room on 1 night.
Maybe not enough people have combinations like mine for it to matter, but wanted to claim this before we get too far.
Also splitting into smaller groups where the towniest players are paired makes sense, but if scum have a regular NK they can potentially frame people.
ah i hadnt thought about the framing thing. do the kills take place at the same time though?
Honestly, have you given this game any thought? :/
In post 205, Alisae wrote:Like I'm not okay with obvtown getting killed via the extra kill mechanic, so it would be someone that town would be okay with dieing.
pedit: I mean I think we can try to go for a task any% speedrun but I think if we get handed a free scum lynch we should take it?
agree if it's on a plate due to a cop investigation or something, but otherwise I'm not keen on us elimming through half-assed scumhunting when we are all handicapped with post restrictions and the like.

VERDICT
Happy keeping my vote here for now.
I stream my thoughts as I read through. It's as simple as that. I've not tried to twist every post as scummy, far from it. but offered my thoughts on the matter and if people want to oppose it, they can. I'm an open book here (^_^)
If you decide to challenge my read on you in any way that isn't an OMGUS vote, you're welcome to start answering some of the points and things I questioned in there <3
The one thing you could have pulled in your favour, is that I didn't actually give a read, just that I was happy my vote being there and looking opportunistic.
The read at the end of that was SL btw, and is still where my read is.
And if he's green you think .. what?
Like I don't think 2 kills tonight is that bad considering I think we will get info from the kill and it is basically the same as miselim > normal kill.
Then we would've have won anyway according to pooks.

Ok I'm tired downplaying myself to get people grouping with me or seeing how sincere people read me.
This nonstop mech talk has only made it more difficult for me to read players and no conclusion has come from it whether mech or solving standpoint.
If you want to group, requote this list in a chain
If you don't then cool

Not have everyone just do what they want.
2 NKs is 2 NKs. Someone making a personal choice to gamethrow isn't better than just... not doing that.
In post 1162, MURDERCAT wrote:
I'm not convinced it is a game throw is the thing and I'm not convinced that grouping prevents an extra NK. I believe it is the better choice but I don't think it's fair to suggest that not giving up info is unilaterally worse.
In post 1163, Akarin wrote:If there's a sabotage that allows scum to overcome grouping (Lights?) why should we assume it's not better to force them to use that rather than giving them the NK and the ability to use another sabotage.
Seems reasonable to assume they can't use all the sabotages at once, just like in Among Us. Do you disagree?
In post 1180, MURDERCAT wrote:And you are acting like I am tip toeing when I have clearly been in favor of claiming the whole time. Have you even claimed your rooms yet? What I'm not convinced of is that we know enough about the setup to force others to agree, because basically the only way to do this is to threaten to vote them out otherwise. I think that not wanting share info is a reasonable position a townie might have and so I'm not in favor of voting people out if they don't comply. And if we aren't willing to do that then there is no way to actually get people to group how we want.
In post 1182, Akarin wrote:
Because you are tip toeing around taking a stance that could upset anyone, or pressure anyone into doing things that are good for town.
You basically agree it's good for town, but then don't care if people do it at all. And then undermine that point with bad arguments that have already been made and debunked
