Lots of people seem to SR Searchers, I am curious why because they just feel kinda grating but not exactly in a scum way

My scumread on Searchers is based pretty much entirely on the Ircher head, sorry to the SC head.

Iirc this post was the original reason I scumread them. For context Smol Night's heads were basically debating each other about whether they should sign their posts ingame, I agree this came off as a bit annoying but it's also very NAI I think since I can't imagine anyone thinking they could get towncred for discussing if they should sign posts in the game thread. Reads, maybe, but not that. To me this comes off as Ircher looking for things that he can attack rather than things that are scum-indicative.

I think I already wrote about this but I think this part is scum-indicative as well; I think that the implication that Smol Night is actively trying to clog up the thread is/was weird considering plenty of people had posted more than them at the time. If this was true it'd be a really lackluster attempt and it doesn't feel right that Ircher keeps pushing things like this.

I also dislike Ircher's assertation that "Despair Nights is scum." in 480; feels like it's way more confident than it should be at this stage. I can see how someone would scumread 690 but their push on 729 I don't like either because 729 is just a shitpost and it still feels like Ircher is stretching to justify his DN read even when it's not so much early-game anymore.

Tbh I don't really see this either. Like, sure DN made a lot of useless posts, but they had a good amount substance too considering that the game had only recently begun at that point. Like, any of these pushes on DN could come from town but when you put them all together plus the early Smolnight push, it just feels like scum trying to fabricate reads and produce content as quickly as possible rather than find scum, if that makes sense.

There's also the fact that I, like, don't really know who else to push on?? Like I've read the game but I'm extremely out of practise and a lot of it felt like, "yeah ok I have no idea what this is", "this feels genuine enough but I'm really not sure about it", etc.

I feel the number of players town reading Imperium with confidence is disproportionate to their content so far which is pretty null so far imo. Can you explain why you're town reading them?

Idk I thought their claim was towny. It makes sense flavour-wise, and while it's possible that, like, Imperium is mafia and they have a strongman which means they can kill whoever they like, it seems like it's unlikely that Ali would design us all these cool roles and then have them all target the same player n1 and n2? It seems more likely that they're telling the truth, why do you think it's a lie?

This will sound awkward since I am not Ircher myself but I can defend him here because I recognize this argument. Feminist Blocc, all of the things you're describing as scummy are his playstyle. I recommend reading another game of his. He takes games very seriously, he digs into little parts of posts to attack, he dislikes thread spam, very confident in his reads (as evident in his early readslist), etc.

1. A LOT. Been around here for 3+ years discounting breaks, and have also played on several other sites.
2. Generally I try to make myself somewhat towny but I also try to scumhunt because I feel ike I can do well if I try (or sometimes if I realy don't). I tend to get townread for silly reasons or lynched for silly reasons though.
3. I generally try to control the game, make it go the way I want without looking like that's what I'm doing. If I'm having a rather hard time of it though I tend to start turtling.
4.Probably consistency both within the game and regarding meta. I think meta is sometimes overhated.
