Ack stupid effing computer. Shut down on me!! Ill make this brief but ill explain later. I would sacrafice myself. But frankly, id prefer to lynch scum and have them narrow the nations and have them contributing to the towns pr's. Instead of assisting them to wipe out the town.
Orals finito. Was busy volunteering today. I do have priorities and if you check my other games you will see im equally behind in ALL of them.
I have the whole of tomorrow free. Even refusing a night out, tonight in the Velvet Rooms. In fear of a hangover tomorrow, of course money restraints were just as equal a factor. (joke!)
Catching up and im like to do a wall post. So be prepared.

My apologies bros and broettes, I may not have access for several days, but definitely will be back well before deadline.
If things like replacements get in the way, then I will alter the deadline as necessary so that the game experience is not ruined by my absence.

My last larger post summed up pretty much everything I got out of pages 2 and 3, in all honesty I'm not getting very good reads yet since I don't really know almost anyone here, so a lot of my play has been observing and trying to pick things up. Due to not getting a whole lot of reads here early, I didn't have as much to say about those pages as I normally would.Maemuki wrote:But mentos...hi. Pages 2 and 3 happened. What do you think about them?
Unvote, Vote: mentosman8
The only one I've played with before is Taranski, whom I have played with on another site. Other than that, no.Juls wrote:mentosman8- have you played with any players in this game before, if so, who?
Hm, now this is a confusing question. On one hand, I don't feel I have been up to my game, and losing me for the benefit of the town wouldn't be the most damaging factor. On the other hand, if we let someone "sacrifice" themselves, we get absolutely nothing out of the lynch and pretty much give scum an extra kill. I think my answer to this will be yes, IF we're almost at the deadline and have no solid lynch candidate. If we have any reasonably solid line of thought to lynch someone, we should lynch them instead however.Juls wrote:I have a new question that I would like to ask everyone. Is there anyone willing to sacrifice themselves to give town an early edge in the game. Yes or no?
Just wanted to quote this comment by Taranski to say he is telling the truth, in general what I've seen of him on the other site we play on he is one of the more active generally, and jokes around quite a bit. However, seeing as I've been noticing the same things he's mentioned about being active, I do have a hard time holding it against him.Taranski wrote:I usually don't lurk as town when I play on my other site. I'm usually one of the most active. However there is something about this site that makes it harder for me to follow games which sometimes leads to inactivity. I think it's because I don't recognize anyone's names/the color scheme. It's really weird.Juls wrote:Taranski- have you ever intentionally lurked day one as scum? as town? If so, provide links.
Let me rephrase that. What do you think about Tjoe and lewacher?mentosman8 wrote:My last larger post summed up pretty much everything I got out of pages 2 and 3, in all honesty I'm not getting very good reads yet since I don't really know almost anyone here, so a lot of my play has been observing and trying to pick things up. Why can't you scumhunt with people that you have never seen before?

Ugh. Finally re-back up to date. Righto. Everything i have is a synopsis of sorts to the game that i felt were worthwhile to mention. If anyone has any additional questions or things to point out, ask. Nicely.
Secondly. My quotes are not always right but the post numbers provided are. If there are any doubts over what you have said and think i have "incrimanated you" anyone is like to go back and see for themselves.

-Juls lunges into the RVS voting Budja because "statistics dont lie"
-Lewarcher refrains from a vote.
-Malthusis votes Vaya.
-Lewarcher votes Malthusis
-Slightly wary of Haylen post 12 sounds bored. "Vote Mentosman8. Im too lazy to write up long names
-Lewarcher mucks about with Haylen. Playing along and CC'ing everything and not really contributing anything.
-Budja votes Haylen for self voting calling it anti town.
-Dislike for Taranski's extra vote on Haylen with nothing more than "self voting. Obvscum." No questions, no needling. +Scum points.
-Just over a day. Perfectly reasonable that Tjoe would wonder where Vaya, JFox and myself were.
Page2
-Snow White promptly and honestly replies that she didnt believe there was anything to comment on bar Maemuki's contradiction.
-JFox RVS votes Snow White because the dwarves were killed in a murderous rage. Points out Tjoe's anxiousness.
-Taranski's post 20 "Lets go with the Haylen quicklynch" Now when exactly was it established Haylen was being lynched? Or that she was being quicklynched for that matter?
-Juls very seriously votes Snow White post 31. "Not commentating until there is something to comment on is anti town"
-Maemuki piggybacks Juls vote with "Sure why not" No questions, no reasons. +Scum points.
-I agree with Budja post 34. Haylen's over the top actions have only served to extend the RVS and imo while this is anti town i dont necessarily see her as scum yet if her meta outside newbies is based on it.
-Ive found Tjoe pretty rational excluding his licking of Vaya post 36. He uses sarcasm to express his desire for Haylen to quit mucking about. He later gets grief for soft fishing. Tjoe agree that Snow White should get into action instead of "waiting for a miricle"
-Snow White puts in some effort in post 37 addressing Maemuki and Haylen.
-Lewarcher and Vaya vote Tjoe for softfishing.
-Maemuki resists a third vote on Tjoe. +town points.
-Maemuki previously third voted Snow White with nothing more than "Sure why not", why the hesitation to third vote Tjoe? Maemuki has been asked this question by both Snow White and Tjoe but has not after 4 more pages answered. +Scum points.
-Haylen announces that JFox and Tjoe are scum. No other reasons than guess work. She adds her vote to Tjoe.
-JFox votes Tjoe. This is unnecessary. Tjoe hadnt even had a chance to defend himself and was already getting enough votes to know he was in hot water without you putting on further pressure. +Scum points.
Addresses Snow White for not picking up on Tjoe's rolefishing.
-Tjoe defends himself justly on post 45.
-Vaya makes a good point about how fast Tjoe's wagon has picked up in about half a page. "Every post after the first vote for him was either another vote or another post speaking suspicion of him. Im not sure his comment was that bad" However what i do not like here is that you did not unvote.
@Vaya post 46. You said you suspected Maemuki, you thought she may have been bussing Tjoe. Does that suspicion still stand? Why? Why not? Lastly intent for JFox to vote Tjoe was still there and we have no reason not to believe that if he had more time on his hands that JFox would have reclaimed his vote. But from your post im getting a town vibe from you. This is however always subject to change.
Taking a look at the Tjoe wagon: Lewarcher, Vaya, Haylen, JFox(intent being there) and Budja. Its my opinion. There is scum onboard.
-Lewarcher sees Budja as acting too pro town. I can relate to this as, its only three pages. Everything seems over scrutinized but maybe this is just the RVS at this stage.

Is it just me or we're all aware that neither mafia or towns have no roles until the after the first death?
so whoever is solely basing a vote on Tjoe on his so called rolefishing deserves to be shot. Unless I
have the set up wrong. Which isnt beyond something i would do. @Vaya post 46. You said you suspected Maemuki, you thought she may have been bussing Tjoe. Does that suspicion still stand? Why? for happily having no reservations about being third on my wagon and hesitating on Tjoe's.-Lewarcher sees Budja as acting too pro town. I can relate to this as, its only three pages. Everything seems over scrutinized but maybe this is just the RVS at this stage.
IGMEOY Budja
Additionally i felt your vote on Tjoe was unnecessary before things calmed down. You above others seemed to be pushing him the most accusing Tjoe of being panicking when i for one felt it was a scoffing responseOkay.... this is too long. Im seperating my pages into seperate posts but yah. Its a work in progress.Tjoe wrote:me? name a case against me! (beside "what so called softfishing")Budja wrote:Uh you, hence the vote. In terms of Tjoe and Lewacher, I don't see either of them as that scummy. While TJoe's comment was somewhat scummy, I can see it as being an honest mistake of wording. Lew I don't think has seemed that scummy, and I'm not sure why the case on him came up and gained ground so quickly.
As for your second question, it's not that I CAN'T scumhunt with people I haven't seen before, it just takes me a bit longer to get good reads on them due to not knowing things to look for. While people I'm familiar with I know what to expect, those who I'm not it takes me a little longer to get a solid read on because I don't have specific things I'm looking for. I guess what I'm moreso trying to say is that without knowing the other players metagames, it's harder for me to know what I'm looking for in TvS on each player, and so it takes me a bit longer to formulate strong thoughts on them.

-Haylen claims instinct is her driving force on Day1 and has previously sited Tjoe and JFox as scum. I can kind of relate. But my instinct works opposingly. I tend to get a feel for who is innocent. However im never really willing to lynch on instinct and while ill hear you or whoever else out on their suspicions i cannot say that i will follow you or anyone else on instinct alone.
-Taranski makes an appearance to belittle Haylen's instinct.
@Lewarcher, you also express doubt over Haylen's instinct. You dont believe one can get a feel for who is innocent/guilty based on what a player may say?
-Tjoe defends himself (again) in the face of Budja. Post 65.
-Rebuttal by Budja post 66.
-Mod humour is introduced as Haylen, Juls and Mentosman8 have yet to participate actively.
-Juls apologises promptly an hour after mods post and gives her reasons, which are perfectly acceptable. She points out she feels uneasy about Budja. Similarly to Lewarcher. I like the reasoning that the Tjoe wagon was bad and i agree with the dislike of the Maemuki vote on myself after you had voted me.
-Lewarcher unvotes Tjoe.
-Followed by Maemuki. (Ill say this once, i loathe tag teams and im willing to lynch on it!! :@)
Ive asked Tjoe here did he have any town games where he role fished but hi see later he's already listed them further in the game.
-@Maemuki. Random question. Do you feel as though we have learned anything from the Tjoe wagon?
-@Budja. You say you see no problem with a bandwagon so long as it doesnt develop into a quicklynch to Vaya post 48. But are willing to hear who else is the lynch candidate from Maemuki post 72. I dislike this. It sounds as though you'll lynch whoever the general consensus goes with, if you dont mind my saying.
-Frankly Before Budja picked up on Lewarcher for unvoting Tjoe relitively late, Tjoe's wagon was the predominant one.
-Ironically it was Lewarcher who first fingered Budja as suspicious. Acting too town when in reality there was very little to go on in just under three pages.
-I dislike Juls previously voicing the same unease about Budja but following his lead on a potential lynch to Lewarcher.
@Budja, Tjoe and Juls. If you've voted Lewarcher for unvoting so late, why not also at least FoS Maemuki?

Firstly i dont think you are at lenght to say who is and who is not scum unless you know who is scum and know that they havent jumped on board Tjoe's wagon thus far. Which by all accounts really is stupid and just a big icky bowl of everyone's own WIFOM if we're going to go into it. It is day one. It was page three. Frankly i believe you were pushing a Tjoe wagon for all its worth through blatant misrepresentation or are clearly very misunderstood in regard to sarcasm and the fact, he cant have been rolefishing because what could he have been rolefishing for?! Vanilla?Budja wrote:If you am quick-lynched, it will be by scum at this stage.Tjoe wrote:uh oh...so you agree to quicklynching then...
You are responding with a little panic. That post is a little fractured, I am less sure now, hence the unvote.Tjoe wrote:me? name a case against me! (beside "what so called softfishing")

-Lewarcher's explanation of why he had fallen inactive checks out imho. Im in another game with him and he was just as inactive there as he was here. Also the fact he first called Tjoe out for soft claiming, voted and then unvoted a time after his voted is dandy by me at least.
-I do quite like MM8's newfound input. But i've little to comment on since none of its directed at me.
-Juls gives out about lurkers and threatens to lynch them. While im sure its frustrating i do actually have reasons, just as you did previously. Its a bit like calling the kettle black and not worthy of scum points, its a little hypocritical.
-Prods are sent out.
-Still cannot see a gut thing that Haylen and JFox supposedly see in JFox.
*Rant* The hell Juls? Why find me any more deserving of a vote than the other inactives? There have been far more players more inactive than myself and as for your snide "Who wants to bet
Look up four posts above you to the point where i said "i will do a reread and post up my thoughts as soon as possible" AH DUHR!!
@Budja
-Juls. "Snow White do you think it will be good to lynch town given the opportunity for gaining power roles?" Its quite a double edged question and i look forward to hearing why you are asking it afterwards but i'd be more content lynching scum day1. Following the mafia's NK, town will get a power role anyway no? And i'd rather not contribute to dying town numbers. However if town decides sacrafice is best i would happily sacrafice myself.
So ive already answered the question you later pose in page 5.

-Friction noted between Budja and Lewarcher. Possibly two townies caught in a crossfire but i dont see both of them being scumbuddies. lol.
Im willing to take Haylen's word on JFox.

*stupid effing broadband!!! :@*
Had to lol. at Haylens self preservation but you are aware it may do more damage to town than good? Basically i agree with Budja'ss post 118 on that matter.
Nothing more to say. Going to catch up on more games. Be back soon. With love.

@Budja
While i understand you have every entitlement to say what you feel, its easy to see that Lewarcher feels scrutinized and thereby frustrated as i believe he has been repeating his V/LA over and over again. Like Lewarcher i too have had a bit on my plate as of late. Class rep on tues. Voluntary work on wednesday and friday, doing assignments, going out, having my ex bf stalk me and have my other play toy go soft on me and not in the good way and on top of it im in 3 other games. So unwise yes but ce sera. If we're going to sacrafice an innocent Juls. I request it be me. I would consider it quite the marcy lynch. - Some rant but tis good to get it all out.Budja wrote:Lewarcher's reaction to his wagon just scream caught-out scum to me.

@Snow:
1) (about Haylen): If you get info from what people say, it's nor instinct, but good ol' scumhunt. If you suggest your instinct will work on page 2, day 1, you are trying to use some kind of popularity in order to have town follow you. This is why I don't like instinct-based behaviour.
2)(about sacrificing): did it sound roundabout? Didn't mean to The answer is no (as Juls correctly registered in her post). The still mysterious advantages that a sacrifice would give to town don't match my criteria for a sacrifice, so I'd rather survive and keep playing.

You are reading quite a lot into that. There is nothing wrong with asking for other's players suspicions. It was for pressure, to help determine Mae's stance.Snow wrote:-@Budja.
If you read my posts I did retract that "screams scum" comment. Skimming on my part.
Too much summary and not enough reasoning Snow, who is scum (or most likely so)?

Popularity? I know 2 people in this game, other than J-Fox. That's 2 people out of 12, are you suggesting I would get them to vote with me and create a lynch when there would need to be much more to get a lynch?
Seriously. Read your role PM before playing.
I am sorry if you have to prod me, I have absolutely no concept of time.

My prefered pronoun set is "cie/cir/cirs[elf]" but they is more than acceptable.

I think for the purposes of this experiment we can assume his answer is no. So the final tally is:
Juls
Vaya
malthusis
Tjoe Min Ja
Maemuki
Snow White
Taranski
mentosman8
lewarcher82
Haylen
Budja
J-Fox
My suggestion is that we lynch one of the "not willing to sacrifice" because my guess is that scum would be more likely to answer no to this question. The fact of the matter is that statistically a town's person is killed on day one anyway so if we miss we are not in any worse shape than any other game we have ever played. However, by doing this, at least we put a little control back in our hands.
To me, the most scummy of the four would be lewarcher or Haylen. Both avoided the question on their first post after it was asked. Scum would probably want to hear what others (maybe other buddies) were saying first before responding.
My bet is on lewarcher though....

@ Snow White, would you mind resuming your suspicions? Most of those posts are resuming the game. If I want to know what happened on the game I would read it.

Not really, but I'll have to take a second look at it.Do you feel as though we have learned anything from the Tjoe wagon?
I disagree. I think scum would more likely try to look town by pretending to play the martyr and say they would be willing to sacrifice themselves for the sake of the town, rather than boldly refusing to 'help the town' for the sake of self-preservation. So I'd guess that people who said no are more likely to be town than not, especially lewarcher who was the first to answer no to this question(also, he didn't avoid your question like you said he did, only Haylen did that).Juls wrote: My suggestion is that we lynch one of the "not willing to sacrifice" because my guess is that scum would be more likely to answer no to this question.
I'd prefer to go to lynch someone who said they'd be alright with being lynched.

No. I have to insist on both my points.Maemuki wrote:@ 145. Whoaa. Way for OMGUS'y, randomly thrown suspicions without any reasoning whatsoever.

1) A scum would not answer no to such a question.
2) The purpose of asking such a question can be to throw suspicion on honest townies who just admit they want to survive and, possibly, to survivors. Moreover, it can be an attempt to fish the PR's. This makes the whole question scummy to me.
See qhat I mean now?
