I didn't read past "..." the first time otherwise I wouldn't have piped up. I need to work on my attention span problems.

In the first post of this game, there are links to player profiles that were formed prior to the migration. They're broken now. (You get that wonderful "a ninja stole this page" 404.)

I mention this here because I haven't seen the profile link bug mentioned and thought it perhaps worthy. If it's something to be fixed instance-by-instance, feel free to ignore.

@Nobody: I just tried the the links and they work. It appears as if a ninja fixed your problem and forgot to post about it.

Yay! Okay, removing the extra mod permissions from Mafia forums. Yell if you lose the ability to lock/edit your games...

I should be done updating permissions (in both Mish-Mash and Mafia forums); try now.

As before: I can edit all posts in a thread I started (in MishMash), and I cannot edit in other threads in MishMash.

That's promising... did you try locking, unlocking, and deleting a reply? I can make a test post if you need something nonsensical to delete.

Not sure if you meant for this to happen, but where I previously had modding rights in every topic, I now only do in mine. So I'm not sure why you said someone who isn't a admin or list mod or "me" to try.

When I was first trying it out in Mish-Mash, I hadn't removed any old permissions yet. So you wouldn't have been a good test case, since you were in that temporary "Mish Mash Mods" group. Now I've removed moderator permissions from that group and you should be able to test/act like anybody else.

@Mr. Flay: Two issues.

1) I cannot see a way to delete M=W's recent post. I tried to edit it, thinking there was a Delete button on the Edit screen, but no. (And when I tried to Save Edit with a blank message, I got the "Too Few Characters" error message.)

2) The thread in question was created before the move, and was not updated since the move, and it did not show up in my egosearch; I had to go into MishMash and there it was. Odd.

Delete link should look like (half of) this: , directly to the right of the edit button. I suspect the priv isn't tied in as directly as I expected, but it should be a fairly easy fix.

The weirdest thing -- I posted a test post just now, and it has the delete button; my older (pre-move) posts in that same thread do not. But none of the other posts in that thread have delete buttons, so.

Yeah, you'll probably still be able to delete your own posts in your own threads (but not your posts in other game threads). It's deleting other players' posts, like a moderator, that's been skipped.

::edit:: Oh wait, I just re-read your post. It's possible that older posts won't work under this new scheme, which would be okay I guess (an Admin/List Mod can always get them if it's absolutely necessary).

Okay, implemented a possible fix for not being able to delete posts in your game threads. Give it a try and see what you discover.

@Mr. Flay, from a quick test it appears that Troll no be able to delete Troll's posts in Troll's game threads unless them be the most recent post. If there be replies to the post then Troll still has to leave it in there.
