Hmm, this is difficult to decide. Tell you what, we'll do it democratically. If a majority of people vote to bend rules, I will let mikehart go by for now (And replace him once the 5 day mark is past).

too true, too true.
Unvote mikehart, vote bend rules
but if he is mafia...i will be kicking myself tonight =P

Vote no bend rules
Rules are rules. It's Issac's fault he voted "hastily." He alone should bear the responsibilty.

I'm going to
vote: keep count as is
. I know this makes me partially responsible for his death, but I'd also like to get the game moving along at a decent pace.

I am going to
Vote: No Rules bend
. Voting no bend leaves us exactly where we were before. And if he is lynched and discovered to be Mafia, then we should probably hit bloojay (no offense) and if he is a townie, I really think we should aim for Cynical and korais666 as they have both voted to kill him with no really good reason. I personally think that I have a perfectly good reason for my action although, it will probably come under close scrutiny later, I feel this is the best move.

In that post up there I meant to say "Voting to bend the rules" not "voting no bend" sorry about the double post everybody, but it is a lesser sin than editing.

Yes, but i won't bear the responsibility alone. The town will have to deal with the fact that we did a completely uninformed lynch, and poor mikehart will be killed without any chance to defend himself.
Besides, rules exist to keep the game working in a way that is best for both the players and the mod, and bending the rules in this case would help towards this goal, instead of sending us into another needless night.

Huh? Here's what I see:
Don't Bend (4):
Koriass666, Scalebane, Cynical, bloojay
Bend (0)
Not Voting (3):
JereIC, Issac, oh-so-dead mikehart
Which of those votes have I mistook?

Wait... my bad. I was counting votes, but not reading names. I counted bloojay for both. However, Scalebane decided to vote: bend. Look at the post immediately after his original one.

I think he was referring to the line I highlighted down here:

Of course, I could be horribly, horribly wrong.

Well, in that case, mikehart is lynched. (I counted Scalebane as voting to bend, but his last post says JereIC was right in saying he voted to bend. Whatever. He was Middle Management, town. Every night he would choose someone to reflect all choice directed at him towards.
It is now night. Get night choices in

bloojay was strutting the halls, looking for girls. He was going to show that girl down the hall his "O" face. However, when he came back to his desk an angry man screamed, "Here's your f***ing non-indexed files, b****!" and dumped miscellaneous paperwork on him.
Meanwhile, Issac also known as Peggy, came to work with a huge grin. She didn't have that big case of the Monday's everone else had. However, Issac's ethusiasm for her job couldn't wasn't enough job security for her.
The office members return to find mikehart dressed in a loin cloth and foraging for food in the Lunch room. Self Inflicted Lobotomy: Stress Management for the 90's. (
Reference to this)
bloojay, Drew, drowned in paperwork
Issac, Peggy, fired
Drew targeted someone everynight. If they had a female role, both Drew and his target would become of each other's innocense. Kinda of a mason recruiter, without the talking at night.
Peggy left motivational messages at people desks which could permantently chance someone's role, for better or for worse.

Drowned in paperwork? That's new. Either Milton is getting more insane every day or we have extra killing roles. I assume the former.
On a less happy note, we have 5 people, 3 of which (I assume) are evil.
Unless I am mistaken, we have to hit a mafia member then have the SK and mafia both shoot at each other for us to win. This is looking bleak.

Korais666: We only have 4 people left. I am assuming that this means 2 mafia, 2 townies, as if it was 3 mafia, 1 townie, the game would be over.
This means best case scenario:
Hit mafia today.
SK hits mafia tonight.
Unfortunately, the mafia can tie this all up if:
No lynch today
Mafia hits non-serial killer tonight (hitting sk would equal win)
SK offs mafia
No lynch next day
SK and mafia kill each other.
And so,
Vote: No Lynch

I'm sorry, I'm not sure I understand. If we have two mafia, it's game over already. Since the game's still running, there must be one mafia, Milton, a vigelante of some sort, and one townie. Any other combination doesn't make sense. I think we shouldn't vote yet, but instead come up with a list of who we think is most likely scum, and another list of who is most likely to be Milton. Quite frankly, we can only firmly put one death on Milton, so he may not be evil, or at least not evil anymore (like I suggested based on Darkblade's last game). I think we should focus on the last mafia, and then if that doesn't resolve the game, have our vig kill the suspected Milton.
So, let's not vote for anything, and instead review the game and come up with suspects for mafia.

You're right JereIC. I am going to go reread the thread now and figure out who would've wanted Bloojay to die. Obviously, Issac was the mafia kill, so we don't need to worry about that.

Besides that, I'm confused.
Sorry for being useless, but these games are too hard. I don't think I'll play again...

Hey, Cynical, sorry you've had trouble with the game, and I hope you come back later. I know what it's like; my first game, I survived to almost the end, but I got beat up something awful with logic puzzles and pscychology. I just couldn't play again for about a month, and I almost didn't come back at all. When I did finally play another game, I was able to understand everything that was going on, and actually won (with the help of my good friends, Totem, mathcam, and blind luck). So even if you leave this game sore, try coming back later and see how you like the game. It's a lot of fun if it's your thing.
On another note, I remember that you claimed to be filing clerk. Have you investigated anyone?

Wait... doesn't the mafia have to actually outnumber the town to win? If the mafia consists of half the town, they can't lynch anyone.
