What are your recent thoughts of the game? Thoughts on the Beck wagon?

I love playing the Face-to-Face party game, so I was looking up rules when I stumbled across MS.
If its a weak attack, I'll respond to it in one post. All-in attacks I find are generally scummy, and thats when I have the most fun with a one-on-one argument.

I actually enjoy them. The only reason I flaked from my other game was because it was 50+ pages of unread walls, and I have absolutely no time to read through all that.

I think bob is a bit scummy for not having specific questions to ask (insert name here, I forget).
Beck I have a mild suspicion on, but not enough for a FoS. "Tunneling gets a bad-rep I realize but it can be effective." Sounds like an excuse for tunneling later.

This is the point in the game where I am most laid back. Wagons in general, I might hop on, but only if I'm like second or third. I don't like when people join wagons late. Its scummy. My understanding is that Becks wagon is mostly RVS.

he's obviously providing an excuse for potential scummy behavior. even going as far as offering to link past games as proof.

metagaming is bullshit; simply because while you may have been town in a previous game, you could very well be mafia in this one.

@Flavor- Thoughts so far is that there won't be much meta this game (I hope) what with all the offsite players.
Also, decent activity levels so far.

The question was asked what I will be known for, it's not making an excuse

Tunneling alone isn't scummy if there is a good reason behind it, if I do it it will be up to you to decide if my tunneling is justified or not.

how can tunneling be skewed as pro-town? i fail to see how ignoring other, potentially mafia, players in lieu of a single, potentially town, player can stand to benefit the town.

i would also like to note that i'm not okay with "i'll be known for my scummy behavior" as an answer to that question.

Maybe our definitions are different

I tunnel on who I think is scum and have valid reasons for why I think they are

I don't just pick some Radom person and start grilling them.

Appeared harmless at the time, however I do wish that he'd get to the point as to why he asked them. I think that enough people have answered them at this point in the game though.

i'm a very straight forward player. the game is fun for me, but i don't hesitate to make my opinions known, nor should i have to.

even if you are "convinced" that person is a mafia member, there is still a chance that you are wrong. if you only tunnel that player and they flip innocent, you wasted a whole day where you could have been looking at other suspiscious members.

I'm more or less in agreeance with you on this point, It doesn't necessarily accomplish anything really. I am bothered that Beck is basically keeping a vote based on dislike, but I feel it's more personal then scummy. It's not pro-active either. I do take into consideration though that this is day one, if it continues I may be more inclined to eyeball more closely for it.

I believe also though that tunneling can be misconstrued as gut instinct for some players. In the instance of Beck though, I believe it's more disdain.

I wasn't asking you to change kendall. It takes all methods from all personality types to play this game ... That's what makes it fun for me . I was just curious if this was a new style of play or your norm, and instead of me digging through your history you've answered my question.

I have been wrong in my tunneling because town players did non-town things.

I realize tunneling isn't the best way, but it's my way

I am trying to learn and adapt my play to fit MS, it's a learning process obviously.

Nanook, I actually voted bob first, than he voted me. Bob is actually on my blacklist but I love this theme so much I'm ignoring it

I haven't seen anything to make me want to change my vote off him, doesn't meant I won't when the time is right.

In your first post you made it apparent as to why you voted for Bob .. I wasn't making the statement that you voted for him as OMGUS, You did however by keeping your vote on him simply because you don't like him.

You're tunneling b/c of a dislike is really my only point. The only reason I removed my vote when I did was b/c it was random on my part, and I have seen you ask some questions to other players.

Very aggressive, when called out goes 'oh well this is the way I play making opinions known is protown' blah blah blah. He's trying to be Alpha Dog, and this early in the game I find that rather suspicious.

@ Kendall .. I don't agree with you overall, but I do agree with the point that you made regarding tunneling. If that looks as though I'm trying to back you up b/c you're my scum buddy, well then that's pretty bad play on my part, don't you think? Agreeing on a point is quite different then agreeing with everything that you've said. As for feeling necessary to announce in thread that I agreed with a point, well that's kind of the point of the game. You know, discussion. If you read my previous posts in full, I'm sure you'll find the answer as to why I "hopped" onto beck's bandwagon.
