Holy cow, I come home from Thanksgiving and five pages to read already?

Expect me to catch up on this sometime tomorrow or Monday. For the moment, just checking in and confirming that I'm here.
On hiatus from any new mafia commitments.

Don't worry, most of those five pages was us deciding which turkey to pardon.

Wow, that actually fits the situation perfectly.

So.... what exactly have you done for the good of the country? Two votes, three posts. I'm guessing the first one was RVS. I love unexplained votes outside of RVS. They're such a beneficial thing.

Not Hoynes.

I do believe my accusation on Nintendo. It is mostly intuition-based.

If the first two votes had been on you, I believe the wagon would still have reached that point.

I find this Troubling. Not because it concerns me, but rather,
the fact that a large wagon on the first day is NOT a good thing.
i mean how is that even possible when i could have been lynched easily if i didn't get in before more people found that the day started and went "Oh look, this guy is at L-2 and he hasn't even posted, i want to get rid of him before he does anything" It could have been that those 2 people who came in late were mafia and hammered before i was even aware

How do you respond to that? Mr. Pirate lemon?

Your "facts" and my facts do not reasonably co-exist in the same universe.

Without large wagons, it's virtually impossible to do VCA later in the game. Ergo, wagons are beneficial to town. Yes, even on Day One.

@Mod: I strenuously object to the deadline being quoted in GMT. This game's deadline should be referenced only in local (Washington, DC) time. Thank you, ever so.

Strong point well made. I will make this change starting in the next Vote Count. -Mod

It should be referenced using POTUS's local time. With five other clocks stating major world time zones posted on the wall.

I would like everyone to look through Nintendo's interactions with me. My case is not very strong; I am well aware of this and comfortable with that fact. My certainty is based in large part in intuition, that indefinable
gut
feeling. This is part of why I have chosen a tactic of non-engagement.

Nintendo has played his cards, so to speak. While you look through his ISO, note how he abandons a vote that he feels strongly about (Vel) in favor of raging against a weak case laid against him. These are not the actions of a Town player, they're the actions of paranoid, nervous scum. Note especially that he focuses all of his energy into defeating an ephemeral case that has little public support and that I am having difficulty defining. Town's reaction to this is to roll one's eyes, maybe make a statement or two engaging the weak case, and moving on. Scum's reaction is to burn the attacker as hard as he can, to discourage and discredit future, stronger attacks. Scum caught.

You wanted a response? There it is.

@Pine: He was never voting Vel, and what Vel did that made him want to vote him, you did too. So I don't buy that as scummy. But you're both town so let's both of you pull back and vote scum. There are two sitting in plain sight, so take your pick.

If two people came in and hammered you, we'd have at least one scum on a plate.

Large wagons get us out of RVS quickly. They give us things to analyse. They provoke reactions from other players immediately and don't allow scum to ease themselves into a game whilst gauging the other players.

Most interesting thing is this though:

- if i didn't get in before more people found that the day started and went "Oh look, this guy is at L-2 and he hasn't even posted, i want to get rid of him before he does anything"

- Allthough, if i was that townie that put me at L-1, it would have been because i just saw the vote count and thought that the guy already posted. Dumb yes, but it could happen!

Ding ding ding, solidly scummy contradiction.

I feel like the "allthough" is the operative connection between the two posts you quoted. Maybe I'm too sober to understand what you're saying, but what are you saying...

... So let's lynch him for not wanting to be lynched?

I mean, I know those two posts are a runtime errror just waiting to happen, but that's not scummy.

I'm staying the course.

?

He's been caught lying.

He's said he was worried he'd get lynched for one reason
Then completely reversed the reason in a later post.

That's scummy as hell.
Then again he is your buddy so its not surprising you're defending him and attacking me ;)

What?!
What do you feel you need to escape from, that you think you have no options?
How does a soft claim help you to 'escape'?
