From looking back with your interactions with Map Wolf & Skitter I'm also seeing some attempt to appease, you seem worried about how people are perceiving you. More often than not I'd assume that a townie wouldn't care so much about defending themselves and would instead opt to find scum somewhere.

Scum on the other hand? A D1 lynch for either them or their buddy spells disaster for their team, whereas for town it's not AS big of a deal. Worst case scenario you lose a PR, best case scenario you lynch a townie, confirm a slot, and gain some info from the previous day anyway.

You being new can throw some of this out of the window but I'm more lead to believe that you're not liking this pressure being put on you right now, hence the retaliatory vote and the weak "you're shading me" comment.

I'm not saying your not justified to think I'm scum - I understand I haven't been very helpful. I also can't prove it, but I am trying my best.

The reason I voted you is because of those posts in particular. think you're shading me.

You're going to have to either point me in the direction of someone else or make a decent case of where I've misrepresented your posts or something, because you're not making me feel anymore comfortable about your slot atm.

I kinda think kanna is lowkey townie tbh
I feel like she'a ~trying~ even though she doesnt exactly understand what she's supposed to be doing

She's also self-aware enough to understand why the way she's playing might be perceived as scummy, but isnt really changing her playstyle on purpose to avoid that

I dont really like uncrowned's push on her, i feel like he's choosing to present her actions in an unnecessarily negative light (i.e. assuming she's scummy when she might just be new), and is also accusing her of things that i dont see happening (i.e. saying shes trying to appease me/map wolf)

hi everybody - I've received the prod. yesterday I had no time for mafia and I still haven't read any posts since I was last here, but later today I plan to spend some time on this game. As for quick thoughts, I looked at the latest VC and it's a little worrying we don't have any real wagons yet, I originally TR both skitter & Menalque so the fact that skitter is not voting and Menalque is voting skitter is a part of the problem haha. I'll read up this afternoon and do a lot more, pinky promise.

idk if this is still relevant, but I was just thinking any kind of engagement to Menalque's posts at all? Like, kind of acknowledgment of the fact that he had posted and possibly a joke in reply to his joke, or something. It was just weird to me to vote someone as your entry into the game without saying anything to or about them.

also, no, I don't think my post was over-explainy, just explainy, giving a reason for my vote. What was over-explainy in Chen's intro was that he was trying to justify a vote on a slot that hadn't posted at all and also said he was "waiting for inactives" literally 2 posts into the game. That is over-explaining.

overall on the Uncrowned vs Kanna page 5 argument, I don't see anything scummy in Kanna's behavior - for a total newbie I thought her townreads were fine and well justified.

if Kanna is town, it's completely reasonable to think that someone arguing you are playing like scum is bad faith. She even called out the points in particular she thought were bad. And I don't think she came across as threatened as all - I'm having a hard time thinking Uncrowned genuinely thought Kanna was all that threatened here.
