I feel like there is no good reason to put someone at L-1 on day 1 of day 1

Why? That's a great way to get some dialogue going and develop reads.

Like I said in an earlier post, I feel there is too high a risk of a quick lynch in newb games by inexperienced players. I myself got chewed out by Exp players last game for putting someone to L-1 on day one because I didn’t understand the timeline.i was led to believe that it was a scumtell?

Dialogue can be achieved with L-2 easy. You gotta atleast have a reason to push L-1, crabby crab snibbity snab doesn’t cut it for me.

Also why would I start a wagon on my scumbuddy day 1? that has to be the worst (puns!) scum!strategy ever.

Well first you don't know if a wagon is gonna kick off just because you voted on him.

Second I don't think it's all that out there for a scum to vote their buddy.

As for the point about L-2 having a similar impact, yeah can't really argue with that but I personally don't mind someone being at L-1.

From a scum point of view there is no such thing as RVS because they know who is town and who isn’t. So why would they make the first vote they have their scumbuddy. I think that’s a terrible strategy any way you slice it, even if there isn’t a chance that it won’t turn into a wagon. The point of scum is to get Is to put our foots in our mouths. Why was a vote on your partner day one?

I think him coming in late would've been fine if he read the game and had input to give.

I've got a bit of a weak townread on Thomth, I don't think scum would draw so much attention to them by putting someone to L-1 without a reason. TW pointed out that he went back and gave a reason a few minutes later after the initial vote, but that 'reason' was pretty much him saying he didn't have an actual reason. Also, it feels like people are trying to test the waters there and see if they can lynch him without actually wanting to start the wagon.

I find that usually scum are more cautious, and wouldn't do what Thomth did.

I'm not really too confident in this, but I think TW is town, and I don't really see his argument with Uncrowned going anywhere, really.

I'm gradually liking Arkias more.. Faustiv's vote was jarringly in the opposite direction readwise and I'm not sure his response to Uncr's callout really does much for me. He didn't really acknowledge my naked vote at all and I'm surprised he doesn't really seem to have a read on me.

I'd expect if he thinks I'm town my vote would be a little frustrating and if he thinks I'm scum surely me reactively chainsaw defending Arkias would be pongy
