enter is just using it as an excuse to post about something
"It's ok to be anti-town because that's her meta"
Don't pretend I didn't post on a lot of other things.

I mean, I guess reading more than the first 4 pages and an iso of a player who can be mislynched/associated to would be nice . . .

Enter looks like he's trying to appear like his town self rather than being his town self atm

I don't think he realizes that I wasn't kidding when I said he plays like I did in 2014 and this is the kind of thing I did as scum back then.

Naw I believe you
I definitely see a lot of similarities in our thought processes.

Kinda busier than I expected today, I'll try and get to this more tonight

VOTE: ofhrz
what's the scum motivation for ofrhz to selfvote here?
What's the town motivation for her to self-vote?
I don't know about you but I've self voted as town in rvs before
Its so NAI that the fact you've brought it up in multiple posts is weird
I'll tell you what reactions you get from a self-vote:
"why did you self-vote" (that's NAI)
"I don't like it when people self-vote" (also NAI)
"I'm glad they self-voted" (NAI)
Here's what stances you show on other people when you self vote:
None. Because you don't respond to anyone, you don't show willingness to vote anyone, you don't jump on a wagon that already has five people on it
Let's compare that to voting someone else:
There were five votes on GE this game, that's particularly interesting:
ofrhz votes someone on the GE wagon: this might be a legit serious stance
Possible reactions:
"do you not like the ge wagon, ofrhz?"
"what did that specific player do that the others didn't do?"
One of those players flips down the line and now all of a sudden it's a little easier to see why ofrhz might vote them in RVS - to get some possible distance in (weak, sure, but better than nothing)
Mafia is a game of reading people.
You read people by getting them to react to things
One good way to get people to interact with things is to threaten to lynch them if they don't
One good way to threaten to lynch people is to vote them
This is why we have RVS
In RVS no one has any reads on anyone
So we begin threatening to lynch everyone
We put our votes everywhere
We see what stances people are willing to take
We see how people are trying to play the game
Who has an agenda - people tehy dont necessarily want lynched no matter what
Who has no agenda - willing to look at anyone and definitely trying to figure out what's going on
By self-voting, you refuse all town motivations in RVS
It's a sign that you already know who's who and what's what, because there is no confusion, no need to push elsewhere to garnish reads
If this were posted in mafia discussion it would make an interesting talking point
Posted less than 48 hours before deadline when you're the primary wagon makes it seem like you're trying to avoid actually contributing

actually seen more scum self-votes than town self-votes.
if you self-vote during rvs as town, it's bad, stop doing that.
i'm using that post as a justification for my vote on ofrhz.
whatever
catching up more gimme a minute

Not a big fan
People that aren't Ausuka, talk to me about Ausuka
In post 127, Dunnstral wrote:Asking someone for how confident they are so early feels like it weakens someone elses push rather than sort out reads
The reason I asked was because I can't follow the progression of "this could be town and this could be scum" then a vote. Like that's the definition of null and I know she said "I think it could be scum" but I don't really know how much confidence that's meant to convey and it altogether came across as non-comittal. Also I am literally voting the same person as light so why do you think I'm derailing the push that was exactly the same push as hers?
In post 127, Dunnstral wrote:Asking someone for how confident they are so early feels like it weakens someone elses push rather than sort out reads
^This. Who has a confident scum read on page 3?
It feels like derailment tactic if anything
If you think this why didn't you say anything before Dunnstral posted?

Actual OMGUS
Spoiler: Ausuka exclusively changing her vote almost every post in her ISO
In post 326, Ausuka wrote:the gamma wagon is confusing; i understand that it's a way to get the game started but i'd think it would be more prudent to vote for me or light or vedith rather than gamma.
i actually don't think anyone voting me is scummy yet; there's probably 1-2 scum in players like enigma, clemency, elsa, ofrhz? who feel kind of like they're holding back. there are a lot of nully people in general.
In post 399, Ausuka wrote:to those asking about my line about the gamma wagon; it generally seems like it would be a good idea to build on what we have, even if people are just pretending to actually believe it, then build a wagon that explicitly is not on a scumread because i think the first one would cause more pressure and cause the game to get started a lot faster. if there's a case on gamma that i missed i'd be wrong but i don't think there is one.
@enigma; those players are holding back in terms of content; it's certainly possible some of you are busy irl but we can't just assume that as an excuse for giving no content, i think.
i think that this needs more pressure: i feel her policy push on dt is clearly not working and as town she would either take a different angle to pushing DT or push somebody else. Right now she feels like scum who's satisfied with her current position of mostly flying under the radar and being ignored.
In post 963, Ausuka wrote:I feel like ofrhz's recent posts are kinda towny? Like it feels like they genuinely want to help town after their flip. There's probably scum in the claims so far but I'm not that interested in going there d1.

i feel like she's been kinda meh in this game and hasn't really felt like she's been trying to solve. her most recent post says that xyzzy is a dunce for trying to replace her; even though she didn't post for 6 days. this implies that xyzzy should know for some other reason that she isn't flaking on this game and i think the most likely possibility for that is that she's still been somewhat active in the scum PT.
In post 998, Ausuka wrote:Meh I guess Gamma's more likely just being randomly abrasive than real scum. The argument doesn't really work anymore if Gamma can't post at all during that time.
VOTE: Sabrina I guess this still works for me more than anything else but there's no momentum here :/
Why specifically is ausuka changing her vote a lot early on scummy?
she seems only interested in defending herself, some of her posts seem like she doesn't even care all that much if DT is actually lynched

I dont' mind changing your vote a lot
but if you're going to change your vote you should have reason and be trying to get somewhere with it
so going back to RVS theory - I vote someone when I think they're scum and I want them dead
or when I want to sort them
I move my vote off when I have sorted someone or there is someone new I want dead
so the way I see
Ausuka has great reads and sorted a lot of people without very many posts in between her votes, often none at all (applying barely any pressure)
or she wants everyone dead.
