I checked Penguin, he's a weak spot in my read range and he seemed like he was fairly influential D1. I figured either I'd catch a deep wolf or we would have a strong player conftown'd and around for a couple days. He came back as town.

I considered checking Gamma, but I felt confident in my read there. Checking NSG seemed pointless if she wasn't going to be around and I thought there was a chance she could be Vig'd anyway. Porkens would've been my second choice for a check, but I figured we could make them readable from vote pressure in the end. No one else felt like a notable enough choice for a Cop check at the time.

I don't think you'd just forget about your read on me, it was one of your more notable reads and it got brought up more than once. I just didn't know how you went from "this is town" to "shoot this maybe" when we didn't really interact much.

First townread of the game:

I think their misunderstanding of the setup looks rather genuine and not the way that scum would try to fake a slip like that. People like to WIFOM their way out of that logic sometimes, but scum rarely actually try something like that early because it's just not that effective as a way to get townread, on average. I believe there's credit to the fact that both SCRRRDBEAR and northsidegal held an early townread there as well! So I feel good about having JunkoChan as town from the start.

This was my first thought in response to Porkens' push on NK15 and NSG. I find it difficult to believe that Porkens actually thinks this is how buddies would interact. Slightly down on Porkens, and up on Dannflor.

Actually, can go ahead and be a full townread, complete with a bold tag! I believe the stretch of posts 141-145 demonstrates that Dann is clearly showing, as it turns out, an underlying town thought process. (It's clear that that's something Dann himself valued in making reads, and it's also how NSG seemed to be developing her own early reads. How meta!) There's clear depth to Dann's reads on all of NK15/Porkens/NSG. I believe there's a person behind the Dann account who believes the thoughts he is posting about these slots.

I don't understand this. I agree with you that the aggression is NAI. It seems like the point you were making here was that Gamma wouldn't fake early aggression here. Why can't the early aggression be genuine and still come from scum?

(I don't have a read on Gamma yet despite him being the early hot topic for exactly this reason, I think the way he handled the early game says basically nothing about his alignment.)
