I was going to kill you first (edited it to TNM in scumtopic) but then saw some post by you and decided you were interesting and safe enough to keep alive, and went for someone I thought wasn't ever going to be lynched.

Jason. The plum vote on him looks like a horrible distancing attempt tbh. Buttttttt I still kinda think jason is town.

darox could be scum too i guess, but i like him and stuff.

This one.
I have a bad habit of not wanting to kill players who are a threat just because they are more interesting to play with.
Which is why I changed my mind on an ABR kill at some point too.

UncertainKitten wrote:I honestly don't regret the Ironhead lynch. He was generating noise and being useless to town in his tunneling on me. Would he have caught Darox if I got lynched? Maybe, but I'm not sure.

Probably not -- I may have deduced it was him by PoE, but that is because I could logically exclude myself. LLD and Jason had no such luxury and likely would have lynched me instead of Darox.

I was convinced you were scum -- I think I built a pretty strong case on D4, although apparently others disagreed. I also don't think that what I did constituted tunneling, as you didn't ping my scumdar until D4 (in contradistinction to you leveling accusations since early on D1). After we mixed it up on D4, there was really nothing you or I could do that wouldn't be construed by the other as scummy because of the way we were exchanging accusations. Ultimately, you and I were the victim of poor luck on your part -- you were involved in every single mislynch and neither of the scum lynches. The odds seemed so improbable that I shook off any behavioral cues that may have exonerated you.

@GM -- I don't quite understand the mechanics of the endgame. Both UK and LLD were endgamed? Which means neither were NK'd? It appeared to me as I was catching up on the thread that they had won -- they had quicklynched Darox before Jughead exploded and apparently before Darox sent in a NK. If Jughead had exploded, or if Darox had NK'd one of them and achieved parity, the result would have been a clearcut scum victory -- but that's not what we saw. Is there an unexplained mechanic behind this scum victory?

Look in the dead topic for further explanation, Ironhead. Basically, the voteless phase would've lasted until after Jughead exploded, so there was no way for town to lynch Darox before Jughead blew up.

edit: Plus, there was still the mafia nk, but apparently Darox wasn't around to send it in in time.

Reck, was Jughead always supposed to blow up 48 hours after Locke was killed/lynched? If so, :?

What I read in the Dead QT is that the GM had planned to end the voteless phases after the time skips ended, so unless town quicklynched Darox before he sent in a kill, scum would win. But the town DID manage to quicklynch Darox.

...

Eh, a re-read of the QT indicates why -- GM changed his mind.

xReckonerx wrote:Actually no, balance/mathematically-wise, they are voteless until the next kill, otherwise the Jughead countdown phase of the game would be IMPOSSIBLE for scum to win.

Not sure I agree with this justification -- it appears that scum had the overwhelming advantage here, as a mislynch (67% probability) would have won it, as would a NK -- if only he had posted his kill choice in the QT before falling asleep ;)

Anyway, thanks for GMing Reck.

All criticism of my play this game is deserved. All I can say is that I'm not usually this bad, regardless of how much of an asshole ABR wants to be about it.

I don't think you're a bad player at all; not sure what I said in the dead qt but it's easy to criticise from there and I was probably frustrated.

EBWOP: Ironhead, I try to be involved with every lynch, really, unless I have an incredibly strong town read on someone, which were sorely lacking this game, at least not on the right people. But, it was less poor luck and more poor play.

@LB: Nah, you didn't really get on me. Honestly, you and Dekes were pretty fair in your analysis. You got frustrated at how arrogant I was, and honestly, it's deserved. It was only ABR that was a cocknozzle about it. But ABR is usually one sooooo

EBWOP: I'm still damn proud of the timestamp analysis I did. And LLD was pretty awesome in breadcrumbing it, IMO. Sadly that was probably the high point of this game.

Now that I know you were town, I have no doubt you would have been hot on the bandwagon for the Plum and dramonic lynches. But you were stuck in the other timeline for those -- poor luck, says I.

The real kicker for me was when, after LLD didn't get nightkilled for cop claiming, cop results were still being treated as if they were worth anything.

That more than anything gave me the victory, I think.

But they weren't really. We lynched two of three cop results. All the TOWN ones o.O.

First off, thanks to all the players. This was the most entertaining Lost game so far, and quite interesting to read.

The basic mechanics were that based on how many players were alive, the Jughead deadline would be modified. The time skips happened every 48-72 hours, determined by random number generation. The forty-eight hour voteless phases were to stop town from just quicklynching all the way to victory.

Regarding why I called the game: I didn't allow pre-sending of kills, which meant scum had to be on at certain times. Additionally, the Jughead deadline would send town into overdrive mode and allow them to quicklynch all the way to victory (based on who happened to be online at the time), so voteless phases were implemented to stop that. Given that the voteless phase after that last lynch would've expired after the Jughead bomb went off, it meant scum would win anyway... I just didn't feel like having everyone sit around for A) the deadline Sunday evening, or B) Darox to show up and send in a kill. Either way it happened, town would've lost.

For Season 6, it will be a MASSIVE Large Theme. It probably won't start for another couple of months. If you'd like to pre-in, please post here again so I can compile a list, as I'm quite busy and don't really have time to go back looking through the thread again.

I really enjoyed this game. I will say I think UK's arrogance got the best of her and wound up kinda costing town the game; however, town's willingness to go THERE MIGHT BE A GODFATHER but then ignore Darox's possibility as the godfather was also fairly terrible. I expected this to be a slam dunk for town after the Plum lynch, but LLD just so happened to investigate Darox and then he rode that out to a great victory.

Well played, Darox.

No, seriously, LLD and UK can slap themselves in the face after this.

Being right or wrong is one thing...BUT YOU PLAYED IN SUCH AN ARROGANT FASHION THE ENTIRE TIME LEAVING NO DOUBTS AT ALL, JUST QUICKLYNCH ALL THESE PLAYERS FOR NOTHING.

YOU SHOULD BE VERY HUMBLE. YOU SUCK AT THIS GAME.
Guard your honor. Let your reputation fall where it will. And outlive the bastards.
