It would resolve before a kill. See here, a psychiatrist is not listed and considered "miscellaneous".

In my experience, partial claims are asking for trouble; when somebody claims a role and then later adds "Oh by the way, I can do this too," it makes people skeptical. Also, the jailkeep claim cleared things up in regards to the DX/Quil night interactions, so I felt doing so highlighted the townieness of DX.

Anyways, the essential entirety of my scum reads from D2 has been obliterated since then (jmurph, Majiffy, GreyIce, Junpei). By process of elimination, David, Haschel & FuDuzn (although, as I've said before, I don't know whether the distinction is masons or neighbours so it is possible, although unprobable, that one could be scum). At this moment I would say I would be leaning most strongly towards Spyre, but I need to commit myself to a reread.

I would like this opporunity to apologize to Majiffy for asking him a similar question yesterday. Cause goddamn if this isn't annoying.

Here's the two possibilities I see:

1

Shadowgirl is scum and DX is a vig.
The lack of extra nks can be explained by:

no shot n1, jk of the vig n2, and a jk of mafia n3

DX is scum and Shadowgirl is telling the truth.
The lack of extra kills can be explained by there not being a vig in the first place.
SG's role can be explained away since it clearly says on the wiki article for Psychiatrist that it's "arguably more likely to appear without a Serial Killer in the game than with."

Right now leaning towards SG being scum, but I still need to think about OK? We got time. Don't rush me into a decision.

TML, BBMolla, SpyreX, what do you make of each of the following statements?

1) SG claimed that her curing wouldn't work if she died, despite Natural Action Resolution stating the contrary.

2) The first evidence that there was more than one killing role in this game was when David Xanatos claimed vigilante. If he had not claimed, then even today we would still be unaware that a second killing role existed.

3) Flavorwise, it makes no sense for the French Foreign Legion to offer West German citizenship.

4) SG claims that she got confused with another game that had two people die at night, and that "in the frame of mind [she] was in" she would have claimed if David Xanatos hadn't claimed vig first, however:
----- 4a) She gave no indication of wanting to claim, and in fact asked permission to hammer.
----- 4b) The other game in question had two people die at night an entire 5 days prior to day starting in this game, and getting the two confused would require SG to forget about something she had read no more than four hours ago and mix it up with something she had read five days ago.

1 - that's kinda null to me. More a function of player than role.
2 - this makes me paranoid about both of them. "Vigs" are usually woosh.

1. Null really. This could be someone just not understanding NAR. (I was confused myself, hence the question to the mod.)

2. Basically what Spy said. The fact that there hasn't been two deaths is making me really paranoid of both of them.

3. Biggest strike against SG imo.

I've recently started playing Mafia games on this site after a fairly lengthy hiatus. Before said hiatus, the site meta was such that a vig who killed every single night was labeled a loose cannon at best, and retarded at worst. Have things really changed so much that vigs are EXPECTED to kill every night?

I understand where you might come away with that perspective, but when there's two large camps of players that wanted the death of both SKrew and JMurph at the end of d1, it would have made a TON of sense to shoot one of them.

Also we like to say that "vigs" (SKs are pushed into this category also) are verifiable by the fact that there are multiple kills on one night. There haven't been any double kills at all.

We don't know if DX is a "vig".

He could be a mafia member.

Can you see that this is at least a
