I felt so bad for everyone I pushed on, especially Gyro lol he was so chill

I felt even more guilty for JV like man knowing I was the scum and he was just the super frustrated town was eating away at me

Another interesting thing I forgot to bring up is I was tossing up between killing you or Fish on N3 for so long, which inspired my posts about "If I was scum, I would've killed The Worst" since that was legitimately my thought process and what I was set on doing for a few hours until I finally decided to go with NKing FF.

Sidenote: I love FF's playstyle even though I can see why others may not. I don't think I could pull off something that aggressive.

I love Fishy. I have some issues with the masonplay this game (in summary: echo Micc's mod pt comments). But Mr. Fishy is a superstar.

I pointed it out but that's only because you didnt seem like a newbie and I thought it would help you. Ducky was thinking it too though.

I really like the micro game queue
Micro is sorta similar to this setup, yeah?

I was thinking of trying my hand at one of those bigger setups with a bunch more players but maaannn after seeing the stress this setup caused I'd probably cry being a townie and having to sort more players.

I believe originally I wanted to kill either Datisi or Teacher because I both thought they were dangerous players to keep around. I didn't know Teacher was a mason at the time, either.

Gardenia when she was in the game thought that you were the cop, and was pretty convinced about it. I wasn't sure but I didn't want to take the risk of NOT killing the cop in case you were, so I went with it. Turns out we were wrong, but oh well. Killing you nearly cost us the game honestly imo.

That's not a shot at Gard btw she did very well to go under the radar. Everyone makes mistakes, this is a super difficult game. Although I will admit looking back in the dead thread and seeing Datisi list out all the mason crumbs by Fish now has me slamming my head against the table.

Micro queue, like most queues, doesnt have defined setup possibilities (I think newbie is the only one that just uses one setup type). I prefer micro because of the player size which is generally close to newbie size. But there's tons of available setups to play depending on what is open for signups.

There's games in micro quite like this one, games with jesters, arsonists, trees, you name it. I think looking at all the queues and seeing what is currently in signups is your best bet for finding something new.

Micc, our mod from this game, is actually the listmod for micro games. So if you look at his recent posts in the micro queue you can see what is in signups for micro games

Ducky, it was definitely a rough lylo to be stuck in in your position. I'm wondering if you had a main underlying reason for your vote? Like what would you consider the tipping point or best piece of evidence to lynch JV? In retrospect can you unbiasedly give the same reason to choose uncrowned instead?

I'm only asking because I hate being in the position you were in and your thought process is usually quite clear and I want pointers lol

Oh that's cool, I think I like the lower player counts as well. Thinking now that I can sign up for multiple games at once, I'll do another newbie and then maybe one more from another queue, micro looks like it would work well for me.

Yeah micro and newbie is at least 90% of my games and I have fun in most all of them. Large games can be fun too but in my experience there's a ton of replacements and mods tend to have trouble keeping up with that many people

I'd suggest have a squizzy at my pt - I made some "the decision I am making is ___ and I am voting this way because -----".

The crux of it is probably that I was comparing a player who had a lower impact playstyle but clear trajectory, which has a ~tendency~ to come from newbtown. not 100% reliable but without meta to assist in forming like, a personality/mindset baseline, I'm comfortable that it's *usually* a reliable tell.

JV felt like, the opposite, they'd had a lot of stances and done a lot of things but their trajectory was less clear and when they were put under pressure they didn't give the impression they were as confident in their reads; this isn't outright scum indicative but vs. the optimal newbtown profile from uncrowned I was more hopeful it'd flip scum.

Basically the narrative uncrowned laid down at the end seemed like it made a lot of sense. I still maintain it did. He played a really good scumgame.

Probably if I'd made a call earlier (when JV and I were on the same page in real time) I might have hammered Uncrowned but.. yeah :P my pt will be a bit of a rant but it explains a lot of how I approached sorting them pre lylo which is generally where you catch alignment indicative stuff. Lylo tends to be clashing agendas regardless of alignment. zzz

Don't be lol, everyone played well end-game (except me :c) and you played exceptionally for the situation you were placed in. Honestly, I kept thinking to myself that I would even lynch myself if I was in your position, Uncrowned played so well!

Yeah you were through and through supposedly trying to solve the game while Jack was mostly taking stances without much of a hindsight or process. He for example switched from eth0s town to calling eth0s scum in EoD during fuz lynch and that was...pretty bad with the flip. Along with him mostly trying to pocket duck, the weird hammer test\explanations and everything else I guess.

I do think that you got a bit luck that JV had such a bad ISO but I also do think you played very very well this game.

You didn't really towntell but you managed to be considerably townier than any of the designated mislynches and always focused in posturing about solving the game.

Man ducky, I misread you again. I'll try to force myself to stop paranoia'ing you...

Personally to me the saddest moment of the game was the fuz's lynch because even though I understood why it happened I thought she was town

Another very interesting point to good scum play is that I kept thinking about the bug NK and thought that it was more likely for JV to do it rather than Uncr.

Eth0s had replaced in too short of a notice therefore with him flipped we knew that the NK was probably did by their partner.

Uncr wasn't really finding bug that townie (which he seemed to admit now even calling it a mistake?), while JV had bug higher in the list and if scum probably was playing around duck that was town reading him (another reason to why JV nightkilling bug made more sense than uncr doing it since I thought uncr was more likely to NK either teacher/duck in N1). JV had also said that FF/Teacher had one scum therefore he seemed really oblivious to the mason thing and if scum would have thought that teacher/FF was mislynchable, which would also explain why NK out of there in a low-priority target.

But...the simple explanation apparently is that gardenia had bug as cop for some weird reason even though he looked like hunting masons which kind of outed him as VT...

Mafia is really unpredictable sometimes...

OMGOMG UNCROWNED I'M SOOO PROUD OF YOU!!!! I still haven't caught up on the game but the only thing that matters is YOU WON!!! I'm salty about bugspray though. Should've listened to you and made the teacher kill :(

I'm probably gonna continue my break from Mafia for a bit but I'll come back one day and I hope we can all play together!
