Not that I expect you to believe me, but this is how I always post after a game is over, win or lose, town or scum. It's just that my mannerism of making jokes and such comes across as cocky. So, I'm sorry if you're offended, that is not my intent. I certainly think that several of the plays in this game were subpar, no doubt about it. But at the same time, telling me it took zero skill to win isn't really very fair coming from you, either.

it wasn't a curbstomp. From my perspective it was a mad dash, town right on our heels, that finished in a graceless slide over the line.

But, all scum games feel that way to me. However elegant or effortless they may appear from the outside (and IMO this one didn't appear that way, not with a 3-sudden-vote hammer), from the inside it's all patchwork, spit and and last minute duct tape.

Well I would suggest 4 mislynches in a row is a comfortableish scum win. (With 2 townies cross voting, too). It probably never feels *comfortable* except in rare circumstances.

Also I don't see a better way to beat zealous town than to let them destroy themselves.

I convinced Vi to let me post this if I was ever killed.

I am not getting this vibe at all from Cabd
Same here, He can be much, much worse in private and honestly, he is one of the most cockiest people period. Town may have turned against each other hard core this game with paranoia and wotnot, but that doesn't mean scum didn't do their job good. C used his abilities optimally, and talked pretty legit strategies in the QT so that, it made it look very, very hard to read him as scum. When I had first learned about the neighborhood, I did have some suspicion on him and I had talked it over with borkie but by mid D2 that had been dissolved because of his use of said neighborhood

I probably shouldn't have let him off the hook for the TIP mislynch, but ultimately, it did affect us more than it did you and Jabbers if only because we do (or did) have a really solid record in reading him. I didn't think that he would have gone for an easy lynch in TIP, even if he already a wagon on him, in the first place. That was my fault there

but please, calm down a bit

It kinda just happened. I wasn't planning on it, but then again, I was expecting you to townread him.

seriously saki, things like this are getting annoying, you're starting to sound like i can't have fun and must play serious 100% of the time.

What
I know the bad mafia players doing their bad mafia player tango is eye-catching but if you could help me lynch scum instead that'd be grand, thanks.
They tangoed so very well; "look at me" they cried; and we obliged them; and we suffered for it.

In pain, sick, woke up not long ago, I'll just stay away from this game for a while.

Thanks for the game and the flavor, Vi. One day I might forgive you for the puns.

You should be. Please stay away from games I'm in in the future; your role PM may not have been Mafia, but quickvoting in LyLo
even before massclaim was over
definitely makes you scum.

In post 1337, borkjerfkin wrote:Vi can you explain the tarhalindur thing you do in every game you mod? I dont get what the significance is
Back when I was starting my modding career Tarhalindur had run Mind Screw 2 and it became the huge "in" thing among the prospective mods at the time, myself included. These mods began stole Tarhalindur's ideas for their games; I took a side route and stole Tarhalindur
himself
. In my second game I thought that I should actually throw him in as a role (in a game about bands and songs), and I never really stopped four years later and after Tarhalindur's reputation took a sunset dive.

The role is usually represented by someone evil or mind-crushing. This usually means the role is not Town-aligned... Tarhalindur's role, flavor, and mechanics are intentionally outside of the rest of the game. Usually this translates to "unique role".
One day I might forgive you for the puns.
You should merge your hydrae. What do you think of "Jabberwoof"?

I don't know, don't you think a Wonderpuppy is kind of redundant?

This is exactly what town
didn't
have which led to the loss IMO. Re: MTC couldnt be scum for outing they had a chat with a town-aligned player.

I just hope a few select people here have learned from this game to use less personality-tells and more scum-motivational tells.

I am kind of a sucker for being buddied.
