Nervous Mafia

All players have a certain number of votes called their "breaking point". When they reach this number, they "lose their composure" and receive a PR (Such as: you must chuckle nervously at the end of each post... Eheheheheheheheh...).
It should only be townies then scum would have to come up with a PR and a breaking point so it would make it harder for them
Bad for scum if they forget their breaking point.
Oman wrote:Would the PR be permanant or just until the votes went below breaking point.
Until the end of the day.
Yeah but that makes the game harder for scum see the post restriction games... There hilarious and the scum came up with their own PRs
And also doesn't fit with the idea of people cracking under pressure, as it assumes that the murderers being hunted down will be completely calm when confronted.

Just don't tell anyone that's what you did or that you read this post.
*gasp*

They mustn't know! They can sees right in your heads!

But, seriously, if you provide good fake claims, hosting a Thran Mafia shouldn't be a real problem. I still have a Phyresis Mafia somewhere in my Mafia files.

Has "Death Note" mafia been done before? Cause I have been thinking about one, and might be willing to do it after I get a few other old works out of the way >.>

(Death Note as in the manga/anime/live action japanese movie... not as in write notes when you die)

Twomz, I think like three people have all tried to lay claim to it already.

At least one of those people (Metatron) is out of the picture now. Not sure who the others are, though.

Macros, talk to Ibby/PJ/Pooky. They're already working on that game, and they claimed it a long time ago. They just had to wait while Ibby was AWOL before they started. I'd make sure they're not working on it anymore before you try to run a game.

Yea, that's how I felt. You should make sure they're still working on it, though, because my information might be out of date.

I'm in the early planning for a DiabloI/II based large theme game. It'll probably be over a year until I'm qualified, but I'd like to do it when I get there. I noticed Zindaras had done a themed mini, but wasn't sure if anyone was working on a large themed game for this.

I would like to run:

FOOD FIGHT MAFIA

Set in a Cafeteria! Lots of day action involving tossing parts of your lunch at other players with unexpected consequences.

toss: potato chips

launch: granola bar

catapult: mashed potatoes

shake and throw: soft drink

Who is the Mafia? The nerds? The snooty kids? The lunch ladies? Play to find out.

The game where the kids don't die, but get LIFETIME SUSPENSIONS!

NOW CLAIMING MY OWN IDEA:
POPEMAKER

Edit: Pedants mean I need to explain the idea.

Kingmaker seems to comeout unbalance due to the reliance on a kingmaker. The popemaker idea is designed to alieviate this problem .I don't want to say too much due to the fact its closed.

BTW, I edited it in here to save extra posts.

Actually, I'd like to claim Popemaker for either myself or CES.

It will involve a player with the titular role of Popemaker. It will also allow for the possibility of the creation of Antipopes by an as-yet-unidentified mechanism.

I invented the game (with CES) and Oman only claimed it once he found out that I already had the idea (the name of which he came up with indepentently much later). However, he's put no description of what the game would be like as of this post, meaning he cannot claim it as per the rules for claiming an idea.

In case he changes it, this is what Oman's post looked like at the time of this posting:

The first post of the large theme queue, you mean?

I see your point. You have read this thread too closely for me to argue.

I'd hate to mingle in this discussion, since it's pretty irrelevant, but:

[14:05:16] CogitoErgoMafia: Idea: Antipopemaker!
[14:05:25] Zen Artros: Antipopemaker?
[14:05:29] CogitoErgoMafia: Basically: as opposed to one Consulmaker
[14:05:38] CogitoErgoMafia: you'd have a Popemaker and an Antipopemaker

This was more than a month ago. Private conversation.

I propose that Sarc's Popemaker be played in (The Road to) Rome, and Oman's Popemaker be played in Avignon.

At first, I thought Popemaker would allow for a Council of Cardinals to secretly elect a Pope. Perhaps the Pope can be elected by council and the Antipope appointed by Popemaker?
