Some random ideas...

Winmaker
: everyone votes to "lynch" as normal; if a townie is lynched the town wins, if a scum is lynched the scum win; think about how to handle quicklynches
Lights On Mafia
: after night, go to night again until someone gives up a night choice to turn the lights on; don't reveal alignments until morning

Both are very good ideas

Winmaker:

Town objectives: For your numbers to be less than scum you must lynch
Scum objectives: For all your members to be lynched you must night kill
Cult objectives: ???
SK objectives: ???

Light On Mafia:

It's a 20 player game
N0 begins
1 SK (wouldn't give up valuable kill)
4 Mafia (wouldn't give up power make win condition harder)
1 Doc (wouldn't give up power as may cause cop to die)
1 Cop (Wouldn't give up role as gives less info)
1 Vig (wouldn't give up power as lowers chance of hitting scum)

You Are What You Eat

This has probably been done before in a slightly different way, but I wanted to run a mini whereby each morning a spread of food is set out for the players to pick from. Meal tickets will be distrubted at random that tell the players the order in which they are allowed to choose their dish. Each dish gives players a predetermined power. If a player dies, the dish they ate that day is removed from the buffet table for the next morning's spread.

Could a large themed game be played out in a speed format, specifically deep south? Also, has there even been one before? I know that speed type games work best as minis because there's less people to replace, it's easier to keep tabs on people for both mod and players, and it's shorter overall. However, there seems to be a desire for more speed games, so I'm wondering if this is a good idea or if it's rife with issues.

Would there be demand, but more important is could it work? I know a lot of people will say "yes" to both, but realistically it sounds like a huge logistical nightmare. I have experience with speed games, so I think it isn't too much beyond what I'm accustomed to.

Thoughts?

Take a look at GL-amb's run some large themed Deep South games. (The original Deep South was essentially themed, and he also ran Far Side and Calvin & Hobbes themed Deep South games.)

Yeah, just after logging out I realized I should've checked GL first. Hmmm, but GL is a different place and MS tends to have more replacing going on in its large games lately I feel. And actually, it's not going to be deep south anymore - still speed. I'm worried about the replacement issue. Then again, with a large themed, I could highly suggest one completed game and shows strong history of activity before entering queue - so I shouldn't be as worried.

Thinking about starting working on these themes would like to know if they've been done before.

Animal Farm Mafia
-You know, the book by George Orwell? Good basis for a mafia game.

Saw Mafia
-Best horror movie ever. Good set for a mini as well.

There was a Saw Mafia on Wifom here. It was abandoned and it appears the setup hasn't been posted yet. Bluesoul had a funny PR though.

Eh. With Saw 4 fast approaching, I may start creating it.

Any word on Animal Farm

I'm only really can mod uh, Mini Normals but this setup, I was thinking of it but I don't see it as an Open game.

Reverse Kingmaker

5 Assasins
8 Townies
1 Kingmaker
1 King; However, the support of eight players must be reached to execute a player
1 Cop
1 Doc
1 Town Hero

Um, why bother with the King then? And why do you need a kingmaker, if you are pre-assigning a king? And are you maintaining it at 8 players, what happens as the game progresses and there are fewer than 8 townies left? And why do I keep starting sentences with a conjunction?

Another Theme I thought of was Haunted Mafia. Based on the Book By Chuck Palahniuk, it has almost the perfect setting....

Current Ideas List:
Saw Mafia
Animal Farm Mafia
Haunted Mafia

Survivor Invitational:

Taking a look at the past endgames, this intends to tally those who survive until the end as town and then inviting them to a game of one big mafia. The "survivor" role will not exist in this one big game.

LOL. Someone who's actually read the book understands. Yay.

We'd so have boxer, and mollie, and muriel. Oh! and Jessie from the movie.

Given that I'm a total nobody on these forums I don't have any particular intention of using this theme, but has anyone ever modded a roleclaim-themed game? By that I mean a game where all of the roles are funny/very good roleclaims that have been used in previous games on this site (all of them would have to have been fake roleclaims, though).

I did something similar when I did my first big game at Misetings - I had about half-a-dozen "cameos", which were the rolenames of various memorable roles (and a fake rolelcaim) from prior games.

The theme has potential but I really doubt there are enough memorable fakeclaims. The flying pumpkin is the only one that springs to mind that's even close to universally recognised.

And here I was hoping my "Loser" fakeclaim would become legend...

Loser always makes me laugh.

I was thinking of doing one in a year or so called "Oman's Claim" or something where every role is something I've claimed (even when I've jokingly claimed Mafia)

Thought I'd done this but I haven't apparently.

Would like to claim/enquire about previous:
RPG Mafia

I give a list of stats and you allocate points to them, which will give you certain "class" or "class features".

Will be drawn from pretty much every RPG game I've ever played.

I was thinking about hosting a Kung-Pow mafia, because it seems to show success on other forums.
