I was going with what I felt was the best plan at the time since I thought my primary was likely to be replaced (then he changed his mind) And I then followed that with a vote on him. At that time, it was too soon for a compromise lynch and I wanted to focus on my scum reads.

Are you suggesting we lynch an unCCed PR claim on Day ONE? If it is fake and they are scum we will figure it out as the game goes on, but no way would I support lynching them at this time.
In post 1443, Titus wrote:@Necromancer, I've been reading backwards. What's null about Jordan's claim? If I understand it right, he'd be preventing the NK and not much else, unless I'm not understanding?
well, considering the role targeting works by the polarities meshing up, "polarity locking" sounds like it could just as easily be scum as town
Explain please? I would imagine a scum version of the role would be a polarity changer no? Change someone's polarity to XYZ... kill them?
Maybe.
Though, at the same time, it's pretty questionable what the value of the role is to town in any way shape or form.
I consider the claim to be akin to a claim of roleblock. Yeah, it's a PR, but...y'know, it's not a PR that screams 'I'mma town' really. Let's force a second claim and then consider what we're dealing with.

what? no, you explain.
"locking" polarities would theoretically fuck with town PRs as much as it would fuck with scumkills, so i don't get what

Just reading current posts on this page for a bit.
I skipped to Jordan's ISO to talk with Titus and Anti about current posts.
In post 1350, Jordan_Downey wrote:Claim: Polarity locker. We can target a player at the beginning of the night and they will not be able to change their polarity. I'm not sure how utility that is, but it specifically notes that it will not be blocked by polarity, and is a 'neutral shot.'
It is positive utility to have the town at a neutral polarity, or as close to a neutral alignment as possible. This gives us extra information we can use when solving for alignment. To this end, I suggest no one switch their alignment tonight.
I'm not sure how I feel about this post.
In post 1351, Jordan_Downey wrote:The mod clarified that the NK can be blocked by polarity, which implies to me that 1. The scum team is larger than it would normally be. 2. This game is multiball. 3. There are multiple killing roles.
In order to accurately get knowledge from the polarity mechanic, we need to get a claim from each lynch candidate at L-1 before the hammer.
I actually got the notion that it was mulitball from reading the first line under my role name.
VOTE: Jordan.
@Anti:
How was my catch up post town?
I think I agree w/ Anti's posts 1445/1446. It actually makes sense for a polarity locker to be somewhat of a scum role.
i considered that he might actually be hard-derping.
also, your presence on the wagon.
just a couple things off the top of my head.

You, apparently, could have basically done without that read.
I'd love to hear your thoughts on the current wagons, and would like to see a vote in support of one, or an amazingly focused and lod push on a third option.
Obv, i'm not caught up with the reading. my mind kinda needed a break as I was glossing over SKOT's posts. I unvoted because I had a scum read on Mastin at the start of the game, but as I was reading through it got diminished.
as much as thor would like to pooh-pooh it, the stream-of-consciousness "post-as-you-read" is pretty hard to fake as scum, and your post had a natural feel to it.

Locking polarities would function more like a rolestopper then I guess. It's much better to use a rolestop and have an important town player live. To me, it's more effective than a doctor, particularly if we have a large imbalance in the shifts.
Whatever, I'm done with the rolespec right now. I see the role as probably being town. I don't like the sudden shift of votes from Jordan to Dry-fit though. Most every player who jumped off immediately jumped to Dryfit. That cannot be a coincidence.

That's my bread and butter as scum. Consider it double pooh poohed.

exactly... rolestopper isn't inherently a "town" or "scum" role, it could be either.
you're proving my point for me....

ya' think so?
...so what does that tell you about jordan's alignment?
how about aegor's flashwagon and his alignment?

oh boy, self meta
you're really pulling out all the stops with this one

I do it as either alignment, tbf, especially when replacing in.

You aren't me. Don't try and pull your meta on me~
(I know I had a town-read from Nati's posts, but Thor just actually solidified that town read more.)

Ignoring smartass comments as I don't care to ragebait you yet.
The sudden swap from Jordan to Dryfit indicates at least one of the jumpers is scum. Who that is depends on the alignment of Jordan and Dryfit. I don't see Dryfit being scum just due to the sheer speed and swap.
Aegor's flashwagon, judging from his ISO, is probably because he's anti-town. I don't have as many problems with that wagon.

As for the polarity locker, it could be scum, just like doctor can rarely be a scum role in most setups. Most of the time they are town. He's not autoclear, if that's what your implication was, but he's probably clear.

Why are you saying 'anti-town' rather than 'scum'?
