There's a high probability that if the person we end up evicting today is scum, that the HoH is also scum.

At this point, my suspicion lies only in the connection to saber.
Kmd4390 wrote: Could the fact that they know each other IRL have anything to do with the connection you are seeing?
Not at all. I don't know them irl and I don't know if they know each other irl and I don't think it really matters if they do know each other irl. If I knew someone in this game irl, I wouldn't jump to put them in power due to our rl association. Now if they presented behavior in this game that made me think they were town and I knew them to be intelligent irl, I might be moved to nominate them for HoH, but not until.

Well that's too bad, cause maybe I did.

This is interesting. I can't see how, if the mafia have sense, they'd be from the other team.

We should keep track of who puts who up.

Can you please point out what Sens has done in this game that makes him the best HoH candidate? From what I can see, he has 1 game relevant post, and your support for him started before that. We are 7 pages in now, at some point, credibility has to be based on actions in this game.

@Sly:

2 posts on page 1. Base nothing on those.

1 post later on (that I see). Game related, showing who he wants for HoH.

1/1 = 100%

So... people arent self-nomming. Why?

I sort of like where sly is going, but at the same time, its a little off. I think this game basically needs to be played as a normal game, play like normal, then HoH someone with no votes, have them nom top vote getters, and it becomes an either or thing. Whoever is nommed day one isnt important it seems, we just start scumhunting. If the HoH looks scummy, we lynch them next phase.

Im just afriad this game is going to move away from mafia and we concentrate too hard on the mechanic. That happened in the Drawn Together game to an extent and caused town implosion.

I completely agree with sly in 57.
@saber - What motivation can you have for one then another?

You seem to say "we should HoH zwet because he is least likely to be trusted". Why is that a qualifier? If you wanted someone entirely neutral, wouldnt you of nommed someone who you never had played with, or even better a first time player?

whoot in 66 is bad, SS is looking town, Mufasa is at least playing smart. Also he is ignoring a top debate at this point in the game.

Leaving now. Three pages in

I would be nomming slysly
I would put saber and whoot up if elected *campaign*

Zwet wrote:There's a high probability that if the person we end up evicting today is scum, that the HoH is also scum.
...

well...

if first is scum - 10 left over - 3 scum and 7 town.
probability of one being scum - nominations...

2(7/10 x 3/9) --- same thing as (7/10 x 3/9 + 3/9 x 7/10) = .46666...%

Probability of both scum... (3/10) x (2/9) .0666....%

if one scum is chosen...

2/6 required votes are already "certain" for the scum group...

if both are scum... well, a scum is definitely voted off... unless of course coup d'etat comes into play.

^^^Is this all right?

Llama wrote:So... people arent self-nomming. Why?
I dunno. :D
Mr Finch wrote:I will nominate: Discode because since joining the game this player has posted the most comprehensive questions and reasoning, trying to keep discussion going and outing the scum.
I feel that this is Town behaviour and Discode will do a good job of listening to town when nominating the evictees.
Is this what HoH should do? :S I guess I'm still trying to figure out what makes a good HoH.

HoH isn't like a president.. I think, sigh.

???? This is the equivilant of saying "I dont care who is lynched"

1) Do you think it matters a good/experienced player gets elected as HoH?
No

2) Do you think HoH should be guided by town? (as in, we still vote, and HoH picks the highest 2 in the VC)
To an extent, they should listen for at least one pick, but a major choice and personal pick isnt bad

3) If you are very suspicious of someone, would you pick him together with a seemingly town person if you were HoH to be sure your suspect gets lynched?
No. Not nomming a town read that some wanted lynched I would do though

saber arguing about the whole mufasa thing is scummy. Someone getting IP banned with two accounts in a game doesnt mean they are on same or opposite factions. They would be IP banned any way.
zwetschenwasser wrote:There's a high probability that if the person we end up evicting today is scum, that the HoH is also scum.
Why?

I would be happy with a HoH nom of
Sly
Sens
Kmd

I would put up some combination of
Saber
whoot
Grandi
Zwet

@Everyone - You have to nominate two people. Who are they. Your next post.

For me Saber and Zwet.

Saber for quite a few afformentioned reasons in my read.

Zwet gets the second spot for things like
zwetschenwasser wrote:Scum will obviously pick two town if they're a HoH early in the game.
zwetschenwasser wrote:There's a high probability that if the person we end up evicting today is scum, that the HoH is also scum.
Which is either a direct contridiction or just a way of nullifying everything of content he has said in this game save the whole opinion of saber being scummy for the double replace business.

I'm really curious as to why SensFan for HoH?
What I understand: he is a good player, whom people think will choose correctly for town... if town.
What I don't understand: why one post in the entire game makes people think he is town.

I thought I said it in my most recent post to this one, but I'll say it again:

I'd nominate Saber: He has been admittedly scummy, and has tried to rush the day needlessly at one point.
saberwolf wrote:I just don't want to see this turn into Sen's tree stump game, All talk and no direction.

I'll scumhunt if needed, but I much rather get the ball rolling now, it just makes it easier is all.
He is extremely anti-town, and really I don't understand his play at all.

Second nomination would be Mr. Finch or Zwet:
Finch hasn't been that active in this game, and I asked him one question and he quickly changed his mind.
The Zwet contradiction you pointed out is interesting and definitely worthy of a nom. And after a quick look at his posts, despite others having a problem with a lack of reasoning in their HoH nomination choices, Zwet still has posted nothing on his reasons for Nominating Sironigous.

Otherwise, I'd still like to know why you'd like SensFan for HoH possibly.
