Everything I've done in this game has been serious.

I joke around, but I'm also serious about my votes and suspicions. Obviously a page 1 vote can't be as good as a page 10 vote, but it's as serious as I can be at the time. I never do something purely for comedic purposes. I also don't think the RVS is actually random or worthless. I think everything is important, but gets moreso as game continues.

I don't like the tone of his first srsface post. smacks of tryhardiness.

Scooby's scumtells are pretty bad, and his division into groups not considering that I'm actually serious, but that doesn't make him Lord Gurgi's buddy.

Unvote

Don't think farside is scum and don't like that people started jumping on it.

Going to reread the last couple pages.

Ok so upon rereading it doesn't seem like either of the other two votes on farside were serious. Which is good as she is tipping town for me at this point. I think umbrage has a good read on scooby and am tempted to vote.

Do we think Kison didn't know about the double vote power and didn't tell us or it was a passive ability?

Not a fan of Lord G's jumping on the scooby "wagon" either, seems to me like an attempt to get attention on someone other than himself.

VOTE: Lord Gurgi

Good ways to interrogate possible scum from KITH themselves

I thought I was voting farside. Depending on which of the three parties I go to I'll be at some level of drunkenness tomorrow.

For now Ive just had a long conversation with my father about not having a job and spending to much time on the computer playing games. At 2am and at 22 years old, I agree with him.

Therefore Ill cut to the chase
vote scooby

Two reasons.

1. See Umbrage's post.
2. Demands. Saying Now. I don't like, the full stop after the now is intentional. If you demand me do something straight away I will post a picture of two cats having sex and thats it.

Its not the best reasoning ever but its a start.

Someone explain this "meta" stuff to me. I think I understand it, but aren't you guys looking too deeply into this stuff?

popsofctown wrote:Amrun made a post saying "blah blah farside is trying to set up girl's club to be on a posse's goodside and not get lynched seem town and blah blah blah"

No, I did not. I said she was trying to join someone else's girl's club. There's a difference.

I don't see any reason to interpret that post as humor, it looked serious to me, I don't get where people are going off saying I'm that-guy-that-took-rvs-the-wrong-way.

So I took a couple of seconds to say that I've seen farside start off a thread with a girl's club as town, so it's probably not a valid tell one way or the other. I don't have a metascumread or metatownread on farside, I just have evidence that the tell Amrun was trying to use is more a product of her social nature rather than her alignment.

The point of my post was that she was not STARTING a girl's club. She was trying to worm her way into one. You have not demonstrated that you have read the thread.

I gave up very quickly because my last game with Amrun was an ugly, painful wallfest in which I never got much accomplished. So.

It WAS an ugly wallfest, but I was also scum. I'm not scum, here, and even so - in that game, you were town, and you fought. Why no fight here?

most people try to emulate their town play as scum. If you are anything but the worst of actresses, I want to minimize dealings with you

Because there was no focus on you when you joined on it, where as people seemed to be focusing on lord g when he joined.

Yours was a vote with out reason which is not as bad as trying to deflect attention

Why, because I pointed out scummy things you did and got you mislynched when I was scum?

This is quite silly and reads to me as scum scared to come out the worst in a battle of wills/words against someone he has lost to before.

I agree, but to address pops, I must, since he is hiding behind one as an attempt to excuse himself from scummy actions in this one.

I don't see why early meta reads should be any less legitimate than other early reads. Isn't meta most useful when you have the least information from other sources?

How many post are we talking? How early in the game. Are you talking off of one post because I don't see how you can get meta off of one post so you would have to explain meta on that.
I always find when I use meta it is later in Day 1 then early on because anyone I know can fake jokes and RVS.

elvis_knits wrote:Prozac, I assume you're always drunk.

So pops has a meta town read on farside and LG has a meta scum read on farside, but he was drunk AND high (one substance was not enough?). WTF is this shit.

I'm a hard person to read? :P

Nah I have to be a bitch first according to VBP.

Umbrage wrote:VOTE: VP Baltar

I don't like how he quickly jumped unto the Gurgi wagon. The bandwagoning itself isn't what's scummy, it's more of how he's "ooh, look at me, I'm scumhunting!".

I really want to put that picture of the VI in this game again. Thank you for proving me right.

scooby wrote:So let's conclude that there is at least one scum in group A and at least one scum in group B. I'd say that it's more likely we find scum in group B just for the fact that scum want to look active in the breaking point. Bonus points if your attempt it's as weak as claiming meta in RVS and you have a wagon already.

I usually find scum more likely in Group A. Have you see scum do B more often?

hmmm I see post 146 covered this question. I will have to ponder this for a bit.

pondering done. What did pops seemed fake more over others you listed that got out of RVS early?

Lord Gurgi wrote:Talking about rereads on page 7 = Scum

Talking meta page 4 is town?

Porochaz wrote:Im in group A.

Please don't be pitiful in this game.

@Amrun: Just from my own personal experience. I have fought with many people in many games (shut up VBP). There are some people I see again and just don't want to deal with. It really depends on how made the argument was and if pops feels something that is agitation towards you for it or not. I think personally you are reading too much into this early.

Farside, I recognize that as a possibility, but right now I'm going with my gut on it. We'll see. If it really is as you say, his reactions to other people should be telling. If he were only doing these things as a complement to other actual content, I'd probably just ignore it, but instead, this is all he's offering. I see it as a more likely smokescreen.
