I do have a role that allows me to make a night choice, but I haven't exercised the option yet. My assumption that both doc and scum targeted IS was because he seems the most obvious to protect. And think about it, why would the doc target anyone
other
than IS?

I will claim with another vote, but give me a chance to defend myself. To start, someone should tell me what I am defending myself against.

Halfpint claimed Aunt Bea the roleblocker. She blocked you last night. There was no death. No real Aunt Bea has surfaced. Youre going to have to claim or let us lynch you anyways.

Probably 1 Dirge, but possibly 2.

Roleblocking doesn't guarantee scum like an investigation might, but
vote: Elnar
based on the information we do have. Claim away.

Yes, the doc would likely protect IS, we all know that. The scum know it too. They would likely target someone else to increase their chances of getting a night kill. That is why the block on you is significant.

With three of the requisite six votes, maybe he needs a bit more urging.

unvote: Dirge; vote: Elnar

Well, I clearly missed one. Dirge is probably at this very moment looking for an obscure role to claim. Maybe Gus the Fireman.

Quailman, you thought that 4 votes would be suficient for a claim then when you realize that he had 5, one away from a lynch, you don't take your vote off? Thats a bit careless.

I think that someone should take their vote off 'til we get a role claim.

Now now, that's conjecture...

I'll wait for a claim, but I'm mostly in agreeance with lynching Elnar because even if we don't have conclusive evidence of his scummary, it is something we can go with.

Maybe the mod will prod Elnar. Hint, hint, nudge, nudge.

Might as well lynch him now, worry about the mod later.

Elnar has been prodded

Note: I will be away from today afternoon until Monday.

Apparently, I'm your backup mod until Monday. So all your vote counting needs will be taken care of.

Carry on.

I'm Thelma Lou, a one-shot doc. I didn't use my choice the first night, obviously, because I didn't want to waste it. I didn't use it last night because I knew that the regular doc (I was assuming there was one) would protect IS, and I didn't see anyone else who I felt should be protected.

Even if it was true, we wouldnt be losing much anyways from lynching him.

I'm not seeing how the protection would work from a flavor standpoint, and it sounds remarkably like an easy-to-fake claim, like thrawn's even-night roleblocker in 175.

Vote: Elnar

And Elnar is lynched. I have been informed that he was Thelma Lou. That's all the info I have.

I expect you'll get a lynch scene when big_kahunia returns. Meanwhile, you can get started with night.
Send all choices to big-kahunia by Tuesday, May 10.

Firstly, I want to say a big thank you to Yaw. I thought I'd be without access for longer, but fortunately that was not the case. Anyway, many thanks Yaw.

Day 2:
With the ten of you awake and happy with no injuries during the night, you all set out to weed the bad seeds in the community.
Following a minor lead, you wagon halfpint. “No!!! I’m Aunt Bea!” screams halfpint. “Hm..” say the rest of you as you back away. I mean hey, how can you be hating on Aunt Bea. She tells how Elnar must be scum because no injuries (deaths) happening last night. The town encircles Elnar. “No, I know who I am. I surely am not scum. I am Thelma Lou!” Some of you say, “Where’d you learn to talk like that, Princeton?!” Anyway, most don’t believe Elnar and bully him into the courthouse, pushing him ever-so closer to a jail cell. You all have had enough and throw Elnar into a cell (the one w/o Ernest T) to end the short day.

Elnar, Thelma Lou/?, has been imprisoned day 2. As Yaw has said, deadline is Tuesday, May 10th. It is specifically at 5:00pm (EST).

Night 3:
The night rang with low thunders. A chill froze the ground.

Dirge swiftly headed out the courthouse. He worked late that day and it was night when he left. “Hm? What should I do tonight, help or search or?” he thought. He finally settled on searching out about a player. As he neared that player’s house, he thought, “I hope this won’t take long.” He looked in the backseat and noticed a brown package. It was a cherry pie from Aunt Bea. He pulled over to a local park. He couldn’t resist a pie from Aunt Bea. “Emmm,” Andy hummed, “I couldn’t eat another bite. In fact, I feel so full I can’t go investigate that player.” It must have been a stroke of cruel fate, but coming up to him at that very moment was the player of whom he sought. Dirge had his eyes closed, reveling the taste of cherry. The stranger with a whiskey bottle in hand cracked it over Dirge’s head. Dirge was out cold….

halfpint was sitting at home. She wondered when Andy would be returning. The back door opened. “Oh Andy’s come home late, I wonder what might be the matte,” she thought. She went to the kitchen to find.. “Hey, you’re not Andy.” The stranger replied, “The sheriff, huh. Well, I’ll teach you to mention his name.” And with bass knuckles, he laid down some beat down.

As you all gather at the courthouse, you notice Dirge and halfpint missing. You all go the Taylor house to find halfpint, lying on the floor, unconscious. All of you search everywhere in Mayberry, but to no avail. Dirge cannot be found.

Dirge, Andy Taylor/?, has disappeared.
halfpint, Aunt Bea/?, has been hospitalized
It is now Day 3. With 7 alive, it takes 4 to lynch/no lynch/bring someone back.

Gah! We lost Andy. So should we bring him back? I would assume he's our local sheriff, but one never knows in Mafiayberry.

I'm open to more discussion, but in the meantime,
vote: commify

Well, if we are to believe halfpint about Aunt Bea, I'd say Andy is pro-town as well; it only makes sense, I think.
