He needs four. I suspected him yesterday, so I don't have any problem voting him. As I said, Obelix may have had something we never found out when he voted him day 1. Roland's observation just makes me feel more confident in my vote. Of course, he's going to jump all over me with more of his OMGUS BS, but at least he's limited to only being able to do it twice today.

Errrr... I'm:
1) innocent and confirmed innocent by a cop,
2) one away from the lynch
3) incapacitated today

Hope you read and think carefully.

FOS: Quailman

I am Emeril Lagasse. Every night, I can check what's cooking in a chef's cuisine.

Here are half of my night results:

Last night, Fuldu was cooking crab bisque.

On night 2, another player was cooking Roast Lamb with garlic and Rosemary and Rosemary and onion sauce.

This is my second and last post for the day. I urge you to unvote me - unless someone counter-claims me, of course.

vote: Quailman

Call me crazy, but if you were one from a lynch, why wouldn't you give out
all
your night choices? Leonidas didn't even specify who one of them was for!

Vote stays, unless someone else has relevant information.

unvote: Leonidas
for now. I don't see an answer to what a Mafia Seducer is. Just because he had 'mafia' in his name, does it mean he was evil? Is it possible that a mafia seducer tries to seduce everyone, but only gets lucky with bad guys? If he was a good guy then we have a sane cop's investigation clearing Leonidas. Or is a seducer like a hitman?

I admit, Leonidas fell short of my expectations with his two posts today. The second one in particular. If indeed that is his role and he has food poisoning today, could it be he contracted it by tasting the roast lamb? If so, the name of his target would have been critical.

Awaiting discussion of what a Mafia Seducer is before revoting Leo...

Emeril Lagasse is a very famous chef and if someone does not claim otherwise I'm inclined to believe Leo. I think if there are cops left they should check Leo tonight and if he is guilty we should proceed with the lynch tomorrow, he can't defend himself today so I say we discuss other things. I'm guessing a Mafia Seducer is a new role, I've never encountered it so I'm stumped I'm guessing it's a scum role but that's about all I can come up with.

I figure everyone here is a famous chef, whether they're town or scum, so the name doesn't really matter.

I'm sort of disappointed that Leonidas didn't give us all of his results, particularly when he has used up his two posts, but I'm not inclined to believe him. I'm pretty sure that everyone in this game is a famous chef, and the fact that he's Emeril means nothing. I'm not quite sure that his claimed role even makes sense. I mean, what is the purpose of knowing what someone is cooking?

What I mean is that most of the chef's that have died I had no clue who they were. Emeril I do so I'm inclined to believe he's telling the truth. As I said we should give it a day and let a cop investigate Leo tonight.

warpdragon - Wolfgang Puck - Cop - lynched Day 2
Coron - Chef from Southpark - mafia seducer - Bad Review - Night 3
So the Muppet chef was Mafia and the Southpark chef is a "mafia seducer" all the others are real people, especially Nigella Lawson . It stands to reason that there'd be an Emeril Lagasse in the game, and he's real. Could it be that the rest of the mafia are fake? If that is the case, and if Leo is mafia, then he'd be lying about his name being Emeril. OTOH, that could be the GF's name (so he wouldn't stand out in an investigation), and Leo is using it knowing it won't be counterclaimed.

Or maybe we should just rely on the insane cop's result.

This is just another good reason to wait. If Leo is a
real
chef and cartoon chefs are mafia then I'd say his claim is legit.

I don't disagree with the sentiment, but this is sort of a stupid argument. If cartoon chefs are mafia, then the mafia would know that and would, of course, have real chef claims prepared. The fact that Leo's claim isn't being disputed suggests that it's
more likely
to be true (and, therefore, that he's pro-town), but it's hardly a guarantee.

In response to Leo's claimed result on me, I can only say that it's plausible. I'm not known for a specific type of cuisine (Mexican, say), so crab bisque is something I might have cooked. The fact that crab bisque is a far more likely miss than hit if he's shooting in the dark suggests that he's telling the truth. If he were making them up, there are much better guesses he could have tried.

I'm comfortable voting any of the three who quickly jumped on a Leonidas bandwagon, because all three of them (though Quailman did provide other reasons) were basing their vote on roland's profoundly stupid argument that since warpdragon was wrong about Coron, he was probably wrong about Leonidas, as well. The proper conclusion to draw is that warpdragon was either insane or naive and I'm pretty sure that the odds favor naive under these circumstances.

Of roland, thrawn, and Quailman, I suspect Quailman the least, but will follow Leonidas' bandwagon there if the other two are infeasible. I'd rather go to the source, though.

He could just as easily be insane as naive, so I'm not so sure how the odds favor naivety.

However, I didn't know that the crab bisque was so specific, so

Having lost two cops and a back-up, I'd say the odds of a cop investigating Leo tonight are slim. I originally voted for him yesterday because I suspected that Obelix was on to something when he voted for Leo to begin with.

If we have three cartoon/fictional chef goons, there might be a legitimate GF. If so, the goon could claim the GF's role name without fear of being contradicted. Otherwise, there's no way a scum could false-claim Emeril and expect to get away with it. He's one of the few I could think of, along with Graham Kerr, Julia Child and Martin Yan.

4 to lynch.

I want to deal with Night 4 before I go away to the USA, so I'm going to apply an:

Unretractable Deadline.... 7 RL days from this post

(2 to lynch at deadline. If the votes are tied at deadline, the person who reached the total first will be lynched.)

Only two posts in two+ days since the unretractable deadline, and roland's really doesn't count. I am still inclined to return my vote to Leonidas.

Instead of a no-lynch, with six of us remaining, I'd much prefer a mass claim. At least role names. Let's see who has to stretch to make one up.

based on that.

I am Delia Smith, of whom I had never heard. Apparently, though, I quite somebody in the UK. In fact, I must be the UK counterpart of America's Julia Child, because I started out the game looking for my (unnamed to me) partner so that we could become masons. It won't happen now that Julia Child is dead.
