And you intend to tell me that, with how you have been playing the game so far, and the fact that you have played some games in that past, that you are not an experienced scum but instead an inexperienced town? It still seems to me that you are deflecting intentionally to remove your from the center of attention. And you have done it twice. Once in your demand for wayne's unvote and a second time when you voted MP5. And although I'm not all that sure of myself here, it looks like that your unvote is a third time. With so many deflections, I don't think it is very likely you have done them all on accident like your little theory suggests.
Also, what happened to your "town" motivated ploy to force a roleclaim from MP5 so we can potentially get a scum? What made you suddenly lose interest?
Also, could you please answer the dang question? What kind of puppy are you? If it isn't town motivated it is certainly not scum motivated as a distraction. We can answer dumb questions and still be able to hunt scum.

Wow
I have never seen a bigger misrep in my life
Let me repeat this: it's a silly puppy question. I am not a puppy. I am a homo sapiens. Geez.
MP5 isn't claiming anytime soon, so you must know when to give up

Well. If you say that inexperienced town is a misrep of you, that only leaves the other option from what you said that SSM quoted...

Hey guys, I just received my prod. Suffice to say I'm still participating in the game. I have to go on a hike right now, but I will be back, and I do have a few thoughts.

I think the more interesting question here is why after the person you're accusing of diversion says that town have no reason to divert, you say that town can divert.

1) I don't know if I understand all of the procedures/implications behind Wayne's "pick a puppy" technique, but his explanation makes a lot of sense. I'm definitely getting a townier vibe from him over the last few pages.
In post 87, Starstorm wrote:Only one other vote is based upon reads (Voodoo) and her valid questions have not been answered.
My thoughts on this:
1) I think Irish is more likely to be sided with the village than wayne. Irish unvoted wayne, he got the read on Wayne he was looking for. That seems town to me.
2) Wayne, on the other hand, has stuck to voting Irish. I'm not sure if Wayne just took the RV personally, but it seems that since he got what he was looking for (TIP's unvote) that the 1v1 is over?
3) MP5 RVed, even though the ball had already started rolling. When I made my post, he unvoted me and voted Frequency. I'm thinking MP5 just wants somebody (other than himself, obviously) lynched. For now, my vote goes to VOTE: MP5 since his voting pattern seems odd and unjustifiable, but I'm by no means sealing my vote.
Some advice. If that's what you really believe, your vote should be on me. Voting analysis at this point is premature and will lead to the atmosphere scum needs to win. You don't want to start off with logical fallacy because it'll get you lynched down the road. The amount you are trying to contribute, and the intent you show with your posts, makes you most likely town. Though that will get you through the day phase, it paints a huge target on you during the night phase. The best place to be in Mafia is null.
Very towny imo.
2) On the other hand, TIP has been rubbing me more the wrong way.
Seems arrogant and cocky. This kind of behavior comes from somebody who is either 100% town, arrogant irl, or a mafia. We can discard #1 (nobody's confirmed yet), but he dropped down a notch in my book.
Moreover, he jumped at MP5. As Wayne stated, it's a little early to analyze each vote, but it seems that he's trying to get the attention off of him (especially with the puppy thing). Since (to me anyways) Wayne's puppy question seemed relevant, it seems that TIP's refusal to answer the question wasn't exactly a towny move.
3) Where the heck is startransimission. The longer he takes, the more I suspect him. Obviously, you don't have to be as active as TIP or Wayne, but it seems that telling us he was going to contribute more (and then not contributing more) is sketchy.
I'm UNVOTE: MP5 simply because I'm not sure at this point. Side note, I will be out of town from Sunday Afternoon to Friday Night, don't kick me from the game please.

SMM used the Black and White fallacy: either I'm experienced scum or inexperienced Town, when I never said any of this
VL, they have no reason to divert, good girl
However, Newbies do it with no evil intention
Unless they're scum, of course
Starstorm, I'm so scared. I dropped down a notch in your book.
How the fuuuuck can a puppy question be relevant to Mafia?
You can't call people out for activity if you yourself have not posted much

Ohai guys, we're back
What I'm trying to say is: I was saying that you, wayne, were diverting, then SMM said I was diverting and I had to be either experienced scum or inexperienced Town

So the site is back up, lets hope everyone comes back. You're getting a few days deadline extension, I'll sort that out when I return.

Speaking of which, what's the current official vote count so we have a base to work off?

Startransmission and Miszu have until tomorrow before I replace them. Giving them some extra time due to the outage. Prodding Frequency.

VL, can I get some support please so we can get out of D1 with some new info so that ~maybe~ people will jump in and start playing? Please? This silence is deafening.

Attempting to find a replacement for Miszu and Startransmission. They can have their places back if they return before I've found someone. SuperMafiaMan is having account issues that are in the process of being fixed.
Yes because cognitive dissonance, OMGUS as your sole defense, obstinately defending a singular RVS vote on you, appeal to emotion on the basis of fear, and then reverting to Village Idiot every time anyone pointed anything out to you couldn't possibly be valid reasons to lynch you...

You mean the stupid puppy question? Wow
OMGUS? lolwat
You were the first to OMGUS
And I unvoted
You were the first to suggest we skip RVS
AtE is done by Town as well
And VIs, by definition, are Town, so thanks

Village Idiot (VI for short) is slang for a player who seems to habitually say or do the wrong things, then not understand the consequences of saying them. Most of the time, this tendency is due to inexperience with the game. Other times, it is due to poor intelligence or social skills on the part of the player.
Still other times, the person saying these wrong things really is scum.
Townie VIs are sometimes used as convenient scapegoats by Mafia, who will build a case around the stupid things the VI says as a case for lynching him or her. The other Townies are sometimes easily duped into such a lynch, or agree to lynch them on policy.
Note: Do not mistake the abbreviation VI for the player Vi. Vi will find you.
So no, VI is not by definition Town. It's just a player who is feigning stupidity.

Pope, are you at L-1? If so, you should claim.
Even if you're at L-2 or something-- the way this thread's been going, you're probably going to be the lynch today. If you've got a power role, I'd advise claiming sooner rather than later so we can formulate a new wagon.
