Shouldn't take much of a meta dive to ascertain that.

It's relevant because it makes my point against kdub less valid, although I'm still okay with parking my vote there until I see something better.

Also, I thought the same thing about that letters post, although I'm also not ffery and I've gotten to be generous with townreads early.

In b4 Ms M calls me scum b/c I wasn't like this in my newbie game.

Except the person I am voting for is also someone you identified as a scum read. It makes no sense to think a certain position on a wagon is scummy unless it is known to be a mislynch.

Because who I'm voting for midway through day 1 is going to be who I'll want to lynch, and applying pressure to calibrate reads is not a thing.

Right, got it.

Care to enlighten me?

I don't recall you getting right in the fucking middle of another player's line of questioning while it's in progress in our earlier games.

So let me get this straight.

>BRO scumreads both GM and kdub
>BRO votes kdub for being third on GM wagon
>After being called out on it, he say that the same thing weakens his point on kdub (basically says that his reasoning sucked)
>Now he says that he did it to pressure him(kdub)

Assuming that I understood correctly,

lolno.

This is what I was trying to tease out.

I may just be monumentally irritated, but I find GM's stomping around in the middle of that and dropping potential answers to my questions to be at least as scummy as BRO's apparent pretzel logic.

Ugh...

unsure how to take my other heads vote as I'm kinda town-reading Bro a bit...

I don't particularly find anything wrong with voting someone because they are third on a wagon, even if the person who is being wagoned is another scum read.

Ffery being laid back like this is seriously bothering me though

You and GM can maybe sort out whether I'm laid back or irritable and let me know.

This is actually a fairly subtle misrep.

Points 2 and 3 are not mutually exclusive. I found something scummy, so I vote to apply pressure there.

Was that misrep intentional or do you not see the lack of mutual exclusivity?

So you would say:

>BRO scumreads both GM and kdub
>BRO votes kdub for being third on GM wagon
>After being called out he says that the hop off/hop on the GM wagon (which puts him in position 3 instead of 1 or 2 or whatever it was) seriously weakens the "3rd on wagon" tell
>Now he says that he did it to pressure him(kdub)

Better?

You are still implying mutual exclusivity.

It should be something more like:

>BRO (slight) scumreads both GM and kdub
>BRO votes kdub over GM for being third on GM wagon
>After being called out he says that the hop off/hop on the GM wagon (which puts him in position 3 instead of 1 or 2 or whatever it was) seriously weakens the "3rd on wagon" tell
>Still wants to apply pressure on kdub and doesn't see a better place to put vote (GM already has wagon pressure, remember).

Subtracting out the 3rd on wagon stuff, what's the basis for your slight scumread on kdub?

In post 128, BROseidon wrote:Not lynching from ffery/letters/bork today, I don't think.

I agree that PLing MC today is bad, since today is the only day we are guaranteed to have all the townies alive. Obviously dies once there are 5 or 6 people left.

That leaves AS/gm/kdub/aa9. I usually like day 1 miller claims but in a game this small and with this much anti-town claimed I'm a lot less sure. Still, nothing is too much of a red flag there left.

AA9 still needs to catch up, which I think is null. GM and kdub have both been pinging a little bit off, and kdub is third on GM's wagon, so...

VOTE: kdub
This was my original reasoning. The "pinging" is a gut feeling (which is obviously conducive to wanting to pressure so I can work that out better), rest of the thought process is PoE.

I think I've gotten a decent amount out of this vote at this point, though. Gonna need some time to parse the information I've gotten from you/SA/GM/kdub and see what my next move is, although I'm a bit disappointed that I got more out of you/SA than I did from kdub and GM.

So the pinging doesn't tie back to anything specific earlier in the thread?

Have you meta'd any of his prior games?

(I haven't but I am going to make some time to do that tomorrow).

I haven't picked up anything directly scummy from him.

I'm a little troubled that the players I am suspicious of are my usual suspects.. Mara playing with Gif make a different enough splash in the thread that I'm not sure whether to chalk up the oddities to the partnership or to Mara's scum game. GM, I dunno. She's been bugging me from the start.

You seem pretty confident that you can read me. Which is making you look kinda uniquely non-paranoid at the moment.

I just had a game with kdub (jobpick) where I townread him early and was wrong, although that game had a lot of weird, very setup-specific stuff going on.

You are correct but you are also massively overreacting considering I think fferyllt is just trying to get reasoning for BRO's vote. Seems like it'd be natural to direct this ire at him.

You don't? Without a flip? What if GM is scum?
BRO wrote:Points 2 and 3 are not mutually exclusive. I found something scummy, so I vote to apply pressure there.
Shouldn't the actual issue be that point 2 is objectively wrong since that, ostensibly, wasn't the only reason you were voting Kdub? Why is that an afterthought here?

Ok.
So you think L-1 wagon is too early at this stage?
