Once that I remember.
For the reason of being scumread, no one had piled any votes yet and she self-voted then scum quickhammered.
Guyett was there, ask him how it went down. He was "in the moment"
In post 58, Wake1 wrote:Just to clarify, if we ever come across a debacle whether to lynch or leash claimed SK, I'll be vehemently in favor of breaking its neck.
This shows your relative inexperience with serial killers in larges. Always better to leash for a few days before lylo.

I don't see the point in trying to control a third party who has essentially already lost all hope of winning. There's no reason for them to follow along.
Like somebody else said, it's more about denying the other antitown wincon a win at that point out of spite.

We think leash in the short run, and kill immediately upon deviation. We also feel like it's probably a moot point.
This is the correct answer for those of you keeping score at home.
In post 69, RadiantCowbells wrote:Depends if you can make scum waste a bullet on it.
You usually can, but it's still worth leashing even if they're bulletproof.
In post 72, Hermy wrote:Holy crickets. I self-voted in Ly-Lo

I've never done it otherwise. Ugh. It was a one off, I feel stupid for doing so, but I'd truly prefer it if I wasn't labelled as bad for something I did ONCE, ages ago
It was under two months ago, so it's fairly recent; but yes, players improve. It's your job to shed that aura you built yourself.
In post 73, Sakura Hana wrote:I know.

You getting this pissy about it is giving me bad vibes.
Framing it as a true PL was pretty fucked up, for the record, because that's the sort of thing I've seen people get PL'd for.
In post 78, Sakura Hana wrote:You were pretty known that day on site chat i'm sure.

^Chances are as soon as a given game finishes, I'm already talking about it on sitechat with people.

Damn right I am. Except when I'm town and nail your ass to the wall as scum. Actually have we ever played as the same alignment before? Maestro's newbie, xenologue, NY165, cold stone, hard boiled.... Hopefully this is a first. If not, mara and I will write out your death warrant soon enough.

When you SK kill someone tonight, who will be your first choice based on the 5 pages?
I'm probably gonna kill somebody who can peg me. Maybe that marangal bitch. Or ffery-nacho, given the results of perpetual MYLO. Barring those, maybe that ceph hydra. He's watched me play scum as a mod (AMOL mini theme)

I disagree. Her reaction seems pretty damn genuine to me. It's a reaction to a perceived insult, which doesn't really push me one way or another regarding her alignment, but it's a genuine reaction. What specifically gives you bad vibes?

It sounds like the problem was that you got to day 5 without delivering a night kill. That's poor town management of a leashed claimed SK.

I am having a very hard time separating serious posts from joke posts right now, and this is my first Large game, so I have to ask: Are third-parties common enough in Large games that discussing them Day 1 without much justification is helpful?

Serial killers and multiball are both fairly popular in large normal games. 165, which just finished, was 5 scum + SK. 166, also finished, was a scumteam plus a SK. Prior large normal have also featured multiball.

The question was asked for a different reason though, still waiting to see if anyone else sees it.
