↑Kise wrote:Fully read/reread my posts before you flip the omgus switch. I should have clearly explained the passiveness. If you don't want to see it that way, that's your opinion, but my word.
where in anything I have said did I use the fact you were scum reading me, or your reasons for doing so, as a reason for pushing you as scum?
you're claiming OMGUS here, without actually explaining where or how I OMGUS'ed (and when what I did was not OMGUS)
you did explain the passiveness, but I pointed out a bunch of problems with it. you're calling out Ghostlin for being similarly passive and claiming that he didn't want to interact (for the sole reason that he didn't explicitly ask a question), when it was pretty fucking obvious he ~was~ trying to interact. additionally, I don't see anything else in this sequence of posts
↑Ghostlin wrote:I'm not thrilled that Kise didn't engage further
I left an opportunity for someone who noticed/you to do so. Why didn't you engage him on this? You picked up the same thing as me but are quick to run and fault me instead of pursuing an open door.
↑Kise wrote:I'm willing to compromise being townread in order to get results - Namely, to have this back and forth with you that helps me read you. Again you paint me as a possible villain instead of interrogating MM.
It would have been simple to ask MM in all seriousness, "why did you pardon Kise but give a legit vote on Wal?"
Or, in post 48, you could have addressed to me by asking "why didn't you engage MM further?"
How would you have engaged MM if you were in my shoes?
↑Kise wrote:Those points are fine. I would have preferred that you pulled me into a conversation to help you understand my brush off. You listed 3 people you were currently scumhunting and then put my name as a bookmark of sorts. I know that note meant something or else I would have been left in the shadows.
My passiveness is due to seeing if anyone would give MM a chance or stay on his ass. You know his answer was bullshit but handled it in a way that leaves some loose ends. If you were his buddy, I wouldn't expect you to railroad him as you are, and I was looking for someone to pass off his remarks as RVS. However, I'm not comfortable with your failure to pursue the two of us < your contentment calling us both out on our exchange with no follow up.
If we're talking philosophy for a sec, I don't find much accuracy in D1 srs bsns, though I can't say it's a bad thing. It's just not my thing.
pedit: I haven't read beyond #59, brb
that is remotely scummy - in fact, you outright admitted MM's answer was bullshit, but are explicitly pushing Ghostlin instead of him, while calling him out for doing the same thing to you. sooo no, you did not "clearly explain" the passiveness at all
↑Kise wrote:I didn't realize the chicken line was a potshot. What I was trying to say is that a MM lynch based off of 3 pages worth of material is possible. I didn't aim to attack Ghostlin. That's also why I asked if that's how the saying goes.
Basically, and as I've said privately, I will vote either. I don't plan to revisit this til Thursday.

is a kind of cheeky taunt that I generally don't see coming from town. what the fuck is this if it's not supposed to be a taunt towards Ghost?
↑Ghostlin wrote:Kise: My argument with Kise has me convinced that Kise is actually town. The interaction was mostly a Town one. I'm not thrilled with the passiveness eariler, but I'm actually convinced that he wants to interact.
I get the opposite impression, actually. it looks like scum flailing. I'm also considering the possibility he's scum with MM, which would explain that weird interaction from the start of the game and why he didn't actually pursue it any further. what in his reaction to you do you think is town?
I'm also curious about the ika read; I thought some stuff he did early game looked town, namely the way he was trying to drive the game forward (although it's really not anything unfakeable, it's just a general gut vibe I got)
BBT and Ghostlin both look town from the interactions in 70, 91, 95, 98, 99.
In 102, Ghostlin is looking at motivation for Monkey's actions
In 104, I don't like Monkey's reason to differentiate based on claiming / not claiming neighbor
In 107, DrippingGoofball not caring for the neighbor centric stuff is good
Jingle's Groot claim makes sense but I don't think the mod would make it that easy so it is not alignment indicative
In 113, Wal's observations regarding Kise look good
In 119, Ghostlin calls out DrippingGoofball for only commenting on the neighborhood. That is of course a good point that deserves an iso
Ghostlin 130 points out MonkeyMan hasn't noticed other events which alter the Jester read/vote
Ghostlin in 136 scum reads Jester and Massive for not doing much
Weak town reads on BBT, Ghostlin, Jingle, Wal
Weak scum on MonkeyMan but the nature of a catchup means that this is partly confirmation bias seeing what others have posted. Need to iso and analyze.
Need to reread ABR, Kise, Massive, ika
That is not enough people, so evidently there are players I didn't notice at all while speed reading. That also needs to be addressed.
↑Jingle wrote:I AM GROOT! 58 Grumble Grumble Grumble. And you were looking so town. Why do "[you] have no delusions that monkeyman is the play today?" Are you not confident in your read? Why do you need to equivocation? At least Walp is still bleeding townblood.
Jesus Christ. Alright, I'm going to be blunt here. The reason I'm not certain that MM is the play today is the following:
1) Someone could just end up needing more rope by something they do/say
2) Town needs a majority, and the mod didn't give any kind of multiple voting power (more fool him, I know what I'm fucking talking about)
And the most important reason:
3) There are at least nine or ten days left in the Day. As much I'd shit rainbows if Monkeyman was lynched before deadline (and we should take Today up to it) it's not fucking feasible to expect that will happen. Do I want him to eat rope? Yes. I also know we end up frequently face-palmingly settling on someone.
Forgive me, my faith in Towns NOT listening to scum isn't great and has been shit on during the years, particularly the Day 1 cop claim (we were going to lynch him) that lived to LyLo (Ozy and Millie mafia).
I don't know how this Town feels yet, but I've had bad enough experiences with Towns that I almost wish I had a gun (in the game, guys).

You want to dayvig MonkeyMan?

↑massive wrote:But I do like the subtle pull of MonkeyMan into that line. It's almost like you're testing the waters there to see if MonkeyMan might be willing to start a train with you. You already think he'll move his vote around on a whim.
Actually, I'm calling him a hypocrite. Whatever floats your boat there. Fact is, you've not done a lot of real heavy lifting this game--a game which started somewhat scum hunting in earnest around page 2 and we're on page 7 in two-three real game days.
So fuck yeah, I'm calling you out on it. What are your impressions of who is scum this game?

Probably not. If I were to Dayvig anyone, it'd be massive or ika or someone who's slipping below the radar. (If I were to pull the trigger now.)
I just don't have faith that Town is going to necessarily lynch the most scummy player Day 1.

Let's be clear here, if you had a dayvig right now, you would be using it on MM?

Read #164. Also add Jester to that list because Jester posting depresses me (even though it seems not based on alignment AT ALL.)

The best thing to do right now is to separate into different camps. Half of us want to get one person, the other half another. Then we debate, some people switch sides, and we end up lynching way ahead of deadline. That's a good scenario for me, even if we are wrong, because it generates information.

↑Ghostlin wrote:I just don't have faith that Town is going to necessarily lynch the most scummy player Day 1.
The most scummy player might not be scum. It might be uncooperative town. Or someone we all misinterpret.
While that's possible, at least we have more information from a lynch then we do if I unilaterally do it alone. The worst player is one that will never be lynched because Town treats him as a fucking afterthought and scum keeps them alive because they're an asset to them in Lylo and a detraction to Town.
