It's a shame that in spite of this explicitly being a game where I didn't tryhard and this explicitly being a game I knew I was going to lose.

skitter was the obvious choice. Keep in mind there are two important aspects of that role. The tracker part was worthless altogether; I didn't care about it. What I cared about was the BULLETPROOF and CONFTOWN parts of it.

I can't make Nibbui bulletproof because Nibbui was the best player in the game.
I can't make Pink Ball bulletproof because Pink Ball rivaled Nibbui for best player in the game.
I can't make podoboq an IC because podoboq is a potential mislynch.
I can't make Slaxx an IC because Slaxx is a potential mislynch,

and

him being bulletproof would be bad due to being a competent player.
I can't make you have it, because you're the lynch and I'm pretty sure that if we submitted the lynch as the player to receive it, it'd have been randomized. (If not and we coulda disposed of it via dumping it on you and lynching you...WHOOPS. But I just kinda assumed that was impossible, since if schadd allowed that, it'd be a LOLWHOOPS from

him

That leaves the options as Mephistophanes and skitter.
Mephistophanes was a poor choice because there was a fair amount of suspicion and the IC would ruin it. Furthermore, there were growing sentiments of them being town in spite of said suspicion, and the bulletproof would be bad to have there.

Whereas skitter was a fairly obvtown player, no suspicion at all...yet who we also didn't have plans to kill. I wanted Nibbui dead; I wanted Pink Ball dead; I wanted Slaxx to die; I wanted Mephistophanes to die. But skitter was someone I knew we could afford to let live.

Mind you.

There were no good options.
Nobody in this playerlist is someone I

wanted

to make a bulletproof IC, yet alone, a BP IC with a tracker power. All of them are far too competent for that.
I just had to give it to

someone

, and skitter was the least-terrible option available for our chances of winning.

To be fair, tracker is an incredibly strong role once there's only one scum alive. It either gives innos, or paralyses your ability to nk.

(let's not talk about that one time I was a tracker in KMo's game lol)
