Question for Haschel and Pabs:
Tell me about your repertoire of magic tricks and how often you do them!
One of my good friends taught himself some illusions through YouTube because he wanted some ways to flirt better with girls. He tested one on me and I wasn't impressed. It was a card trick with a stripped deck but I had one as a kid so I knew what was going on. Anyway that inspired him to actually go seek a magic club in town and since I brought his confidence down he guilted me into doing a class with him he got through Groupon. So I literally only learned an act with 3 illusions and haven't learned more but he went to their advanced class on his own and his confidence is building but he still fails at flirting. As for me I never do them.

Ahh yes, magic is a good go to technique for flirting.

I have a few card tricks that I'm pretty good at, and I know a couple different ways to reveal "your card" so it looks like I know more tricks than I do. I also can do the magic trick where I make it look like one of my fingers is jumping off of my hand onto the other hand. I do the latter trick all the goddamn time and the card tricks occasionally but only when I have a new audience.

I assume you're asking how I do the orange one, and that actually isn't my trick. A magician came to my college and a friend was chosen to come on-stage. The magician asked him for a dollar but he didn't have one, so I ran up to the stage and gave him one. He signed the dollar, the dollar got destroyed, and the pieces of the dollar were revealed to be in an orange. Afterwards the magicians gave me another orange and told me there was a replacement dollar inside, which there was.

Hmmmmm
This is tough.

That isn't usually how that orange trick is done, but it sounds like it could be a nifty technique. Magician doing essentially the same trick twice though, I'm going stick with my original gut for this and guess

Pablito cut the orange open

if that's wrong guess
Haschel cut it open

pablito did not cut the dollar bill from the orange. That would be your Mistaken Identity.
Haschel Cedricson did, though!

Meme's former flatmate did the thing. Fun fact, the game features an original character that is a unicorn.

When I read the broken bridge one, I immediately thought of Vi for some reason. I was probably going to guess that one had I not lost my mistaken identity.

Hmmm

I'll have to sleep on this.

Coug, where'd you play online?

If memory serves, by the time the mark has the fruit in question it's already completely safe for the magician. (This was a trick I saw as a kid and wanted to try for myself, but :effort: )

I think Penn Jillette said that 90% of magic is learning how to do stupid things really well.

Yeah, most tricks are shockingly simple. I might have mixed up the orange trick with the lemon trick which is always the magician cutting it.
Lowkey, it's so annoying how every trick is just googlable now and really damaged the art.

Also, I might be putting way too much effort into this, but analyzing previous identities, linguistically I don't see a lot of cohesion between the the way the river crossing identity is written, and Equinox and Vi's previous identities. I think they'd give a bit more detail, or phrase it like "Once forded a river because the bridge was closed."
Pablito's identities are a bit more abrubpt.

Anyway, lets put out some more questions while waiting. Both of these questions are for Vi and Equinox

How did your name (but not given name) end up on the credits of a videogame?

What are you getting people for Christmas this year?

I don't remember what it was called (bear in mind I turn 30 in two weeks), but it was a site an older friend of mine that was learning HTML and Javascript made, and he was looking for ideas for silly games to have on it. Me being into card games, I suggested two-player versions of hearts and spades, played with a stripped deck of cards. The site didn't get a lot of people, sadly, and within a year or two it was gone :( It had so much promise...

Hmmm, that leaves me with more questions.

I think I'm out of them though so lets go!

I'm so confuzed because like, this ID suits you so well. Were you only recently in a card tournament? Has your definition of a tournament loosened? Hmmmmmmmmm

Ok, I'm going back to the split I know better.

Sure...

I guess that leaves Vash and Korina. I think I know Korina's still, but I have no idea about this Vash fellow.

I think I have to use the double dip though. I look forward to Equinox's answers and hope they leave me less confused than all the rest.
