He can't defend himself against that accusation without further breaking the 'ongoing games' rule.
You should know that, being the big clever SE you are. Smells like you are taking advantage of the cred you think that buys you amongst us silly, dense newbies to play rules-lawyer.

The purpose of newbie games is in part to learn the rules of the site, particularly when you repeatedly demonstratethat you need correcting. If you have a problem with that skip straight to the regular queues. But I don't think you do really.

Literally whining about me telling a player they broke two site rules in one post. Lol.

How serious were you about that sheep anyways?

The point is, he might not have broken the "playing against wincon" rule, but he can't legally defend himself against the accusation.
You are right, though, I've obviously misunderstood the purpose of newbie games. I didn't think they existed for the newbies to get insulted, back hand or otherwise, but I was obviously wrong on that count, too.
I like Dann I was fine with doing as he asked at that point. Not very, to answer your question, but as I said his posts were at least sound while most of the game at that point was noise.

I think StrangeMatter and Leaven are my top two scum reads.

If you break a rule in a game the game thread is never the place to litigate it, you should be communicating with your game mod about it if at all.

The why were your 148 and 149 posted to the game thread and not directed to the mod in PM?
If your true intent was to correct a newbie, rather than g ain some in game advantage, a quiet word with Nahdia who could have had a PM discussion with James would have been a better way to deal with it than publicly call him out on it, no?

Also, James is a seems off to me, a self vote and a really random and awful VT claim. That's obviously very scummy, but it feels less like it might just be too scummy and random to be to actually be something scum does.

There was nothing wrong with what Ythan did and continuing to use it to push suspicions against him is frankly gross, use another line of reasoning please

As I said in this very page, three purpose of newbie games is in part to educate about the rules. I am not litigating the matter and don't think it's necessary to send a warning to the mod in a newbie game when I can just tell them they've made a mistake.
But here you are being willfully obtuse again.

Assuming I'm wrong about this, it'll look absolutely bad that I said that.

I don't think it's so much about whether you're right or wrong generally. Saying stuff like that and then being right can imply that you have information ie are scum, depending on the circumstances, for example.

The self vote was just RVS fluff.
Still not a good play, even if you say that.

It wasn't intended to be a good play it was fluff. It was the 16th post.

Would you say you are better or worse at correctly identifying players you are familiar with or more prone to mistakes? Personally don't mind either way, but wondering if your familiarity is an advantage to leverage, a crutch to be aware of, or just neutral/not sure/varies.
read accuracy is not really something i'm trying to track yet with my limited playing data, but I'd imagine that it'd be better for people I'm more familiar with, since i naturally pay more attention to them and what they say. i don't have enough familiarity to use meta, however (except for EchoV maybe, who I've played a ton of games with offsite. sad that they're gone)
it won't actually impact the game much, and probably won't in the future until I've had multiple games in the charts with specific people
if it matters, i (coincidentally) have read the most on strangematter, but i still don't think I'm familiar with them, so the same goes to all of you

Not at E-1 but at E-2 feels a bit weird to unvote at.
