Refers to a player pointing out how townie they are, or drawing attention to townie actions they take unprompted.
Generally considered a scumtell. Hence the push from you essentially saying hey I don't like this wagon obviosuly started for no reason.
Oh, that makes sense. I had googled it before but google suggested „lamest” so I thought that was a typo. Still, I had already addressed the core of this argument before, in 97. I think it’s flawed from the onset (and overly reliant on meta) as it suggests that townies should stay silent, because otherwise they’re „too town to be town”. If I feel like I should say something then I’ll say it.
Not_Mafia was literally put on E-1 for a while. They're still at E-2. This bandwagon built up way too fast, I don't like this.
The problem I have with this post is that it accomplishes nothing besides trying to make yourself look good.
You didn't suggest an alternative, try to gather information about the wagoners or wagonee. You just pretty dryly and pointlessly just say something obviously true.

I have a different view on that. A bandwagon that builds up too easily is suspicious from the onset.
Why is no one defending this person?
Why did so many people uniformly agree on one person?
How did it happen?
Sorry, but shitposting and jestering is not enough for me to vote someone out. There could be a case for Not_Mafia for sure, but my general impression of them is that they’re just mess-makers for fun.
Let’s say we vote N_M out and they’re town. The only content that there is to analyse is perhaps 112. Given the fact that it’s quite a strong statement, I’m willing to interpret it as elaborate shitposting, aka trying to make artificial content for drama.
And so where does that lead us? What does that give us? I’d rather take a chance with the quieter folk and the quiet SEs do stand out.

Yes that point is correct pretty objectively
Hence why just saying it with no effort to actually stop it or help out town with it is pointless
Hence why just saying it with no effort to actually stop it or help out town with it is pointless
So it’s better to do
nothing
? I disagree on that. Not everyone has to have a ready theory on why something feels wrong or right. It’s a team game and merely pointing out something might be food for thought.
Glad that I’ve managed to clear that topic up. Honestly posting about it has tired me out so tomorrow I will move on to something that may actually lead us somewhere.

I don't think information instead of analysis is a reliable scumtell on day one, especially with everyone playing so passive.

Vote count 1.06
It is Day 1!
With 9 votes, it takes 5 to eliminate. Day 1 ends in (expired on 2021-10-23 07:35:00).

Except a scumplayer slips there is no reliable scumtell on day one at all. There is a bit of gut feeling but that can easily be wrong.
Passive play is a problem (and I think I am guilty of that myself) as there isn't much information around. On the other hand I have the feeling, that it sometimes is encouraged. One tends to be in the line of fire for it a lot. To avoid this unwanted attention (unwanted for scum and town likewise) some prefer to stay more on the silent side. Another problem I see is that with no information from a night one (before day 1) there is nothing to build on on day one (as a townie). So unless there is a major scum slip, I am trusting no one in either direction.

I'm of the school of thought that a town player will generally incriminate themselves less than a scum, no matter how much they put their foot in their mouth. So I'd rather prefer people talk more in general. Although I guess a town drawing too much attention to themselves might be considered anti-town since that would distract from scum.
Speaking of distraction, though, is it just me or N_M has been saying very little and kind of staying under the radar after his early shitposting? He's not as much active lurking as much as he's literally just lurking and voting without any explanation.

It depends tho. Scum likes to hunt for possible crumbs and PRs by killing the most active and townread players. Day 2 is the day that we gather more info, probably because most PRs have the info on that day. On the other hand, vanilla roles try to do the same to get killed

I feel like I haven't been all that town yet, but thanks :3

You're not in a 1v1 conversation here.
If you actually believe Meg is scummy, then tell everyone why. You're not trying to convince Meg, you are trying to convince us.
I'm not sure if it's just me, but you feel a bit sideline-y this game. What's up?
I'll be honest, Meg vs Greeting continues to look like a typical day 1 argument, someone jumps on something minor and pushes hard, the person being attacked pushes back, this is good in terms of generating some form of content but I struggle to even maintain any interest in reading it, let alone coming away with a strong opinion. I realize this is close to reiterating what I said earlier but as it's the main thing going on I feel obligated to comment, even when I really have nothing to say. I might try reading more closely later but as it is I continue to have not much interest in voting for either player.

You’re talking about me right?
Cause ya, I think that I’ve been underperforming a little this game. I’m not a great player, so my investigations usually consist of seeing a scummy message, then looking at that person’s past messages. I’ll do that for a few people, and then start questioning them. It’s the main reason I pushed for RegRider in my last newbie game. He practically gave a new scummy message each day.

I have at least half of the game at the same level of scummy for me right now, so I’m holding my vote.

Looking back, you wanted us to ignore the N_M wagon. Why is that? You yourself were one of the people spearheading it? You then immediately started pushing a new one on Greeting.

Well, yes, I subbed into that game, maybe it was the benefit of hindsight in knowing you had been nightkilled and flipped town, maybe it was having the benefit of 10 days' worth of posts compressed into a single afternoon of reading for me, but you seemed clearly town that game in a way that hasn't shown up here.

I'm not sure what you hope to accomplish with that? If you have multiple suspects and are voting none, you're exerting pressure on none of them.

I agree that not much more content is happening with me/greeting.

I'm stating it now that I hate to use issues IRL as an excuse so I won't. I'll try to be more proactive.
I don't want to revote until I find someone that is clearly scummier for me.
