In fact I think some of their recent posting indicates scum.
What did you not like about my response?

The fact that I openly stated what I was doing, only withholding
why
I was doing it?
Or the fact that you asked for me to elaborate on it by the end of day and I said yes?

I honestly fail to see your logic.

For the reasons I elaborated on in the following posts, as well as I have yet to see much reads from your direction, much less those that feel like a natural process.

I've already stated some reads, admittedly with little justification, but that will also be done when I feel like it.

What do you feel is strange about your wagon?
Scum led or town led?
As long as we are talking about faking content, there is this.

Last time I have seen someone so worried about E-2/E-1 etc., They have always been town, never seen scum get so caught up in all that. There is a logic problem that lies within worrying about scum taking advantage of an E-1 state as, why would mafia hammer early on a villager who is at E-1 in early game? This only serves to make said scum in question look worse the following day.

(Greeting)
(Another player)
My reads so far:

Town Lean

Hops - I can see the scumhunting on him.

Neutral

Most of the players.

Scum Lean

None so far. Will update info soon.
That was so... uninformative. Would putting you at E-1 speed up the info?
Rereading Greeting's ISO in Newbie 2081 the above quote stood out. Overall Greeting's play in that game (where we both were town) is a lot more transparent than their play here.

The above quote is essentially Greeting scumreading someone for about the same qualities they exhibit this game (lack of reads)
This matters because players (especially new ones) most often scum read behaviors that they themselves do as scum.

I'm going to read their other game on-site in a minute.

You have not even really talked about me, walk me through why you aren't really willing to vote me
You've expressed mostly skepticism, both of players and of reads/process. I don't see any issue but I don't townread you either and I think it's better to put the question of reading you off. I also don't think a vote is really going to help sort you given that focus on process.

Contrast that with Meuh, who is in a similar nullish boat, but I think their more personal style means that pressure and aggression would probably be fruitful in sorting.

(To be clear, the reasons that I'm not voting Meuh given that potential utility are first that I'm pretty null on the slot, second happier voting the other 3, and third that I think playing very aggressively on arbitrary pretenses creates a very dense and difficult environment)

Newbie 2078 - Greeting Town
Greeting primarily talks about mech and strategy here over actual reads. It contrasts with her play in 2081, but I suspect its mostly due to it being their first game on site.
Take a look if you want but it doesn't feel like much can be drawn between that one and this.

I am still yet to see any townlike qualities from greeting's play this game, but I'll turn my attention elsewhere for now.

Well done, keeping temporarily a secret and admitting to it is
not
, as a matter of fact, transparent. Image

I've also played in N2078 and N2082 (
this one is unfinished though!
) which are conveniently linked on my basic, albeit useful wiki page. Enjoy!

Okay I Have a lot of information to put out in this post
This is my very first game on mafia and I am very slow to jump into the conversations
So some of the slang I am not used to. I am guessing that a scum would be someone on the mafia side? And I'm not sure what abbreviated stuff like E-2 means.
Also right know I am trying to find out easy ways to tell if someone is mafia in the way you guys talk to each other, but in general I'm really confused on who to vote.
Finally, If you guys can give me tips on what to look for and how to jump into conversations that would really help

Prohawk/Azu stucky don't have anything of substance so they get to sit in nulland

marcistar/strangematter have fairly townie posts so far so they get a TL so far (although weaker on strange matter because they lack content, even if I like what they do have)

Scum = players not laigned with town

E-X = a player is X votes away from elimination (death)

? Is this based off of Mini Normal 2241?

Also improtant abbreviations

TR/Sr = townread/ scumread (someone you think is town/scum)
TL/SL = townlean /scumlean (the above but less confident)
NR or nullread (no idea what their alignment is)

? Is this based off of Mini Normal 2241?
No not from scum!you just scum in general doesn't have reason to immediately deepdive into a player to try to find minute details to justify a player is town. ( It doesn't serve a purpose, is hard to do naturally, and often isn't convincing evidence to protect a partner. )

In general I don't like using meta for reads on players, but despite the similar situation with greeting in 2081, their play pinged me as off so I decided to reread their ISO for that.

Hello!

1. You are correct, we refer to mafia-aligned players as "scums".

2. E-2 means a player is two votes away from being eliminated. Voting out a player in this game setup cannot be undone. So, once a player gets 5 elimination votes, the Day Phase is over and they are eliminated. No backsies.

3. We have two impostors amongst the nine of us. Imagine you're the impostor and ask yourself: what would you do, what would you post, how would you behave, whom would you vote or not vote - and then project this on all players based on their behavior in the game. Does the behavior of any of the players match
what would mafia do in that situation?
Feel free to question those whom you find suspicious and draw conclusions from the answers. Watch the vote tally - the way in which players cast their votes can also give out some information.

Most importantly, have fun and remember that this is a game. Things can get heated and people will argue.

I'm happy to help with most of these!

First, you're right that scum=mafia. E-2 is an abbreviation for "Elimination Minus 2", which refers to how many votes someone is away from getting eliminated. If someone is at "E-X" they need X number of votes to get eliminated.

It's okay to be confused on who to vote.[/quote]You'll find as me ideas about what is "scummy", or mafia-indicative, and "towny", as there are players in the game!

That said, the MafiaScum wiki has some great articles that have kind of stood the test of time. I'm partial to this one. They're not universal keys to psychology, but they're great to get your mind thinking about what deceptive and honest behavior will look like.

Generally speaking, when looking for mafia you want to look for players that are looking for
an excuse
to vote out other players rather than a true belief. Some people focus more on who looks "towny", or that they truly believe the things they're saying and advocating for. Both of these approaches are very hard to discern: Does someone do a seemingly irrational 180 in response to pressure, do they go the extra mile when they don't need to, or is their thinking so downright bizarre that it's hard to believe someone could come up with it
without
believing it? People might think all of these are mafia or town depending on the situation!

Some people find townhunting easier than the scumhunting or vice versa, but it's best to strike a balance.

Meuh is an interesting case, I don't think they are S/S (scum partners) with greeting. I could see town!meuh and scum!greeting or vice versa. I'd like to hear more from the slot and don't want to lim them today.

This leaves a pool of AzuStuckey, greeting, Prohawk lims for today.

I'm currently mentally preparing to ISO a bunch of people and drop a readslist later tonight instead of just ISOing Greeting, so you should have some more of that juicy juicy content like you got in . (Might end up procrastinating and not doing it, but I'll try my best to )

It's really not a matter of the content you are posting or the amount, but it leans on paranoia so it's probably best not to discuss.
