im not really sure what set me off on pops on first read.
i got the opposite vibe about him being mad about things on reread. :v

i have almost no feeling about fish monger.
the 1v1 with kuribo was really tiring to read. i remember townbinning kuribo for the claim when i was glancing at the game, but i was feeling less good about him when i forgot about his claim during my reread just now, until i hit the claim and thought "oh yeah true".
so im kind of shrugging at both slots [while probably still townleaning kuribo for the claim?] until i have time to actually deepdive that interaction and focus on it.

can i get some words on this from both of you?

and while im bugging you kagami

can i get some words on what you meant by this?
and on this if possible?:
kagami wrote:I have vecna as pretty solidly town, if that helps.
DOL is probs town off tone.
croag/pine would be the easiest spots for lowerkeyscum to be hiding in while theres so much noise.
jjd has posted a lot and i havent gotten any kind of genuine scumhunting vibes at first glance.

highest priorities for me are trying to fully parse FL vs pelican, trying to fully parse fish vs kuribo, and then diving jjd.

not sure how productive i feel atm but will be setting aside time today so im not just plopping more shit on top of this game without being genuinely engaged with whats happening.

if theres something specific people want me to look at/talk about, poke me.

I had agreed with Perry's early townreads, and then his movement toward me seemed both novel and natural given the opinions he had expressed so far (not liking fish wagon, TRs on D1L/JJD, etc)

I had not interpreted Vecna correctly. I thought in the content of having just heard Bingle's claim meant that he had one vote today and would be gaining an additional vote every day.

Bingle's role is plausibly scum, since at no point would scum gain full control of the lynch. Vecna's role as I had inferred, however, would. After https://forum.mafiascum.net/viewtopic.p ... 9#p7414219 , I believe FG would be ~extremely~ careful about scum being able to unilaterally control the lynch, and he would avoid at all costs situations where whoever gets to the thread first wins.

would you be townreading pelican still if it werent for the slip?

I would be if not for both the "slip" and the vig. I'm very suspicious of multiple vigs in a FG setup. The slip isn't 100% unless I'm missing something more explicit than implications like those in

i still dont understand why anyone is assuming FL is trueclaiming.

I've been pretty skeptical of every claim from everybody so far, but this one seems like a trueclaim to me...

Nope, though I get the idea.

the two vigs thing really aint an impossibility if we have two scum in our hood....

its really about whether he fucked up with the miller thing. doing that as town seems unlikely since apparently you would have two lines dedicated to it in your role pm. I find it strange regardless he didnt go the "i fucked up, didnt pay attention" instead of going straigjt for the vig claim.
It's not in separate lines. It's in the same line of abilities.

Regardless it still didn't answer my question of whether the hood was the cause of the modifier or a product of it.
describe the buildup of your role pm, in intricate detail starting at the top
There's not going to be some voila moment that says only town could have that role pm so.

Why?
Can you just paraphrase Abilities part of your rolecard?

sorry i probably came across as more indignant than i meant to.

someone with less experience with FL while taking his claim at face value is null
someone with a lot of experience with FL while taking his claim at face value is worth scrutinizing.

p-edit: this seems like a line of questioning thats against the spirit of the game?

Loathe tho I may be to admit it, you dropped what I consider to be a fairly warm universal town tell

One that I can't reveal lest it be used to get over on me one day, but one that has been solid in my past experience

Here's my thing, even if you don't buy or understand the scumslip, look at Perry's reaction to the vig claim. Look at him saying he'll shoot ejther his direct counterclaim (FL) or pops, and look at him not voting either of them.

Since when do you not vote your counterclaim because "I can just shoot tonight?"

thats more or less where my headspace is at too on pelican
his reaction to flavor pushing him is really bad

I disliked his refusal to describe buildup of his rolecard, it didn't felt right, like he don't know what should be there, so I'm asking now for specific scumslip part of his rolecard and if Pop/FL will say that it's identical to theirs, I might consider it as RCE derping before, but if they tell that it's different, I'm voting Perry without any questions asked

Tbh, there was another thing with Perry, I had kinda feeling that he was trying to pocket me, calling me by my main name, hard defending, when to my knowledge, we had only 1 game together and I got lynched D2 there and I played a bit more aggressive that I do now. It's not that it didn't happened in past, when people townread me for going against the flow after seeing me do same as a town in other games, but still it made me feel a bit uneasy here

i still think thats kind of against the spirit of the game.
ideally you shouldnt be trying to figure out whether someone is scum via the structure of their rolePM.

Pelipper knows how to describe his role now, the majority of the problematic posts are before FL and I provided more info.
This is like letting a mafia rescind and claim vanilla after they get counterclaimed. That's not how this works.

i just went to look back at who peli was voting and
i find it hard to believe that they thought they were going to make it to n1 to shoot flavor while sitting a vote on kagami.

At this point I don't care - I had to read like 15 pages of back and forth about this this morning, so I just want to put this to rest and start to play the game

I don't ask him to describe it, I ask to paraphrase - essentially give description word by word with some very minor changes to not breach "quoting rc" rule. If he somehow manages that, it's not clear, but rather NAI, because he might figured out by provided info, but if he fails, that's a hard guilty

No d1 lynch that is outside the spirit of mafia and Pelipper don't you dare do that

when you paraphrase your rolecard your max out the "para" in paraphrase in communicating what information the mod provided to you, not how he provided it. You don't figure out some bare minimum level of paraphrasing that might not result in enforcement actions but still gains advantage off formatting or diction or copypastas.
