Bounce is the ability name listed for both the refusal to fight and the commute. They're under the same heading.

No justification is in the PM.

I guess that's possible considering it would make the other pokemon's attack miss and bounce hits on the second turn so nothing happens in a 1 round combat

looking at that list I did pretty good? looks like most peoples abilities just interact with the monster battles but I don't get how that impacts the game?
