I'm not sure if I should be happy or disappointed.

What are people seeing with CephTD? I haven't really minded anything they've done so far.

I just don't see much is my tissue with Std/ceph.
I was town reading them a bit and then it's slowly softened. I'm aware that outside of the first FGO, they've been pretty hard for me to read though.

Positive Impressions
  • Medea Wagon as of . A relook at the ganestate around this time finds I don't dislike most of the wagon at this point. I think pookys loudness regarding it is pretty towny, and LLD and sleez entered the wagon pretty naturally. STD's vote ISNT my favourite bc i cant tell how serious it was at that point and it seems purposely written to read as such.
  • 's curiosity despite the other head having laid down a vote is more towny in my eyes
  • AA9 thinking we should give shards to mafia. i think this is the kinda thing we say is too bad for wolf to say yknow?
  • Lukewarms unvote of Medea. Its similarily understated but I like it on principle. edit - see further comments
  • Annie's defence of me in and . probably proximity is why i like it LOL but i like the logical approach.
  • Annie's comments in regards to their thoughts on Medea (). Being upfront and honest abt their fears in regards to the slot is pretty good.
  • anger discussing game mech seems pretty genuine and towny
Negative Impressions
  • AA9's entrance
  • AA9's little follow up
  • Lukewarms vote of Medea. I'll keep my opinion similar to what it was last time but he didnt feel similarily convicted or really interested
  • I know I touched on this before but using Chromavlon as an example to state im more liberal with votes is either misguided or actively trying to create a meta thats not really there in regards t0o me.
  • feels overexplained. I thought there unvote was good based on like a fear of hammer but their elaboration feels like a forced elaboration on smth he couldve said when he did it
  • Lukewarm in framing AA9's comment as a slip and polarizing thoughts on that action to be exclusively town/scum
  • Pooky not having much to say. I feel like im missing out on opinions from him.
  • . Don't see an interest in engaging with me that i would hope for from a town player scumreading me. They seem kind of resigned to nobody agreeing on their scumread of me and instead of trying to convince others sulks on it
  • scum that feels caught for the wrong reason.
?Questions?
  • @Medea what was your thought process to approaching the game around your wagon? who were you targetting or trying to develop reads on? im finding your intent around this point hard to read.
.
.
.
.
will finish this later but im back on mobile for now
unwnd, Bell has exhibited incredibly different behaviors as town in scum to the point where he's usually one of the easiest players to read on the playerlist. I find him to be tonally and activity-wise basically identical to previous town games and you are one of the few (possibly only) players scum reading his slot.

That's fine and I think a different perspective is always helpful, but can you explain why you think everyone else isn't seeing what you're seeing when Bell has a history of being pretty easy to read?

The moment people say 'this person is an easy townread' is the moment said person never has to try again. Bell has plenty of experience to fake his own tone.

We've been working on our technicolor reads list and I think it's about ready to post. stay tuned, I guess.

But we've posted a lot that Rhea could have engaged, and she hasn't chosen to so far.

i want to know why medea is town to you. i know only that it snapped magically into place. my magic 8 ball has not revealed anything of the sort to me, and tbh i am baffled how you got from tenet to here. i also was hoping you'd comment on 751 at the time.

Pre-tenet, medea would have been ~85% town to me on the basis of the crumbing and the way they reacted to my pushing them away. I didn't trust myself, and even if I did, Bell's bar is higher.

The concerns I had about their not playing with the brashness and confidence Cabd's played both solo and in morph this year were a big part of the holdout 15%. And the "this changes everything" series of posts didn't just explain that gap. Those posts kind of illuminated the prior play in a way that addressed all the large and small niggles that kept accumulating.

I agreed with prior to the wincon adjustment and its effect on their play/stances.

Town

Dunnstral
- ffery's strongest townread. Bells Second strongest town read. I think the discrepancies in their play can be explained reasonably enough as "they're not perfect"
unwnd
- here because we both have a townread. Though, I'm starting to wonder about read again personally -Bell. I had a write up and then Cabd was like, "actually they can be aggro scum" and I was like, "well shit then". This read probably starts fading for ffery because of her extremely self-absorbed disbelief that any good player with a few games experience with her would see her scumgame here.
Annie Edison
- would be in the top tier but I got a little squicked by the appearance of placating medea in anticipation of the amazing technicolor reads list -FF. I just think it's their people skills and they're basically the most obv town that ever obv towned after me. Also, it's sad that neither of us have been lunched as town yet. Moved to top tier on strength of Bell's townread.

Town Enough For Now

Lady Rhea
- not playing to what ffery thinks of as LLD's strengths, which feels like she's eschewing some strong tools in her scum toolkit (should she go up one? paranoia is involved in not having her up one). Bell: I don't know rhea's preferences or play style or how or if it intersects with LLD's playstyle. I just don't know. Notsci endorses them, but like, I consider Notsci at about my level of scum hunting ability which is to say, "You win some, you lose some"
Medea the Alien
- probably never top tier from Bell's perspective and ffery can live with that. Ehh, they can get there. Once they do something. Which they haven't are they even voting anyone right now.

North of Null

Pooky
not doing much so far, and maybe doesn't belong this high but that's my vibe. would be ok moving him down one. -FF. Pooky is hard to read for me. They haven't really done anything I feel is really AI, they fire start as either alignment and there are advantages to putting Medea off balance early if they're town, though, ultimately, they didn't to hell and high-water it either. I'm basially looking for something like a strategy from Pooky and coming up blank. I'm null on the teddybear.-Bell.
Here There Be Dragons
- barely north for reasons I've talked about. could move down
ArcAngel9
- I know some (looking at medea) liked her entrance but it didn't do much for me,
and there's nothing more to go on yet.
and the self-righteous interactions with notsci push her townward for ffery. It's a shaky structure for a read, though, given how long ago this tell was proven reliable. (thanks, Nacho!)

Null

No one, currently

Of Concern

ManateeGal
- there are some things I like about her play, but it's all in the social layer, which she did quite well at in Ceph's game. I'm feeling pretty cautious. I wish some other players would do some digging in that dead thread convo I linked yesterday. Luke? unwnd? dragons? I feel like I prompted them to navel gaze and then they haven't looked up ever since and I'm just like, "how do I read this?" It's close for me. They seem genuine in their reaching out when they didn't before, because they put the onus on others to interact with them when that's not really how it works, you can slide into conversations easily enough. But this isn't a "critique someone for their approach game", tis' mafia. This incidentally is one of the things that bothers me about Unwnd this game, but that's life.
Lukewarm
- ffery didn't care much for Luke's Monday morning catch-up. It felt discredit-y. Other players' concerns about luke/medea and luke/manatee are noted
Spiffeh
- ffery likes spiffeh's tonal notes since he dug into things, but not enough to fight Bell over the vote. They're looking up a little. -Bell. But it's not life altering.
Titus
- tonereading? really? still pretty put off by the shard self-vote. ffery's probably ok with her default "let time (and/or Cabd) sort titus" approach here. I'm conflicted, they're leaving me alone and town reading me and they seem pretty relaxed, but they also aren't engaging in moon logic and they're being quite clear this game and I associate that with scum titus. -Bell.

We've posted reads. We've talked about how we're reading you and why. I feel like if you had concerns with any of that, or felt that there was anything remarkable in our takes, you'd flag it so we could respond.
