Rereading Wyrd, closer and closer.
His original "chess is scum" theory sucks some major ass, but I don't really see the scum motivation behind it. Fate doesn't really check in with anyone else as to whether that happened to their hydra or not, and instead just throws it out there. Now, as scum, he has the QT as he knows that most of the hydras started things out pretty immediately. So he knows something like that is going to be attacked, so why the hell would he suggest something like that in the first place?
Post #888 is a lot better. ScumFate is known to throw shitfits when the town starts to align against him (as dramonic has said), but revealing the fact that the QT exists, synopsising it, directly confronting 8 players about their scumread on him while not really collecting up the allies like he usually does seems pretty town. Add to the the Ythan scumread (going immediately into attacking people who defend him), and I'm fine with this post too.
There's a bunch of chesskid fighting, which is fine, then a bunch of bouncing around until he follows DGB on One Direction. I don't know whether Fate is more likely to hope like this as scum or town, but don't really care. It did remind me of #1418, though, which was really, really shitty. Still don't particularly think Wyrd is scum.
DGB:
In Ladies Night 2, ended up pushing people a lot harder, was a bit more flexible, didn't really react to anyone voting her ever. Game was also a lot shorter, though; faster paced (the whole game was shorter than our D1), so that probably has to do a bit with it. Didn't get significant suspicion, dismissed most people who suspected her.
Gay Mafia is unfortunately mostly gone now, but DGB doesn't give anything even resembling a shit about explaining reads in the posts that are left, whereas in this game she takes special efforts to explain her reads on people (and all because of
ythan
, of all people). She goes on the OMGUS here, but it's not really as dramatic as it is here.
Weather Mafia II was a similar story, and comes with DGB talking about how she was bored of getting scum so damn much. Here she was dismissive as hell of people who had scumreads of her, went for the mislynch, didn't really explain anything at all to anyone at all.
Tigers vs Otters vs Sharks is a bunch of DGB trolling as scum, so it's a bit irrelevant. It's more of not explaining things, pushing mislynches on the DGB charm, not really giving a shit about anything.
...and that's about as far as I have the patience to go. DGB's been aggressive as hell (with reasons and everything!), she isn't playing for the easy mislynches that she occasionally has the the tendency to as scum, and unless she caught her scum stride after a hell of a "sick of it" spell, I'm pretty fucking confident that she's town. The hypocritical bits around the "I HATE SPAMMERS" episode is probably the point that resonates the most with me, but honestly I can't really blame her at all for it. I love spamming, and even I was getting a little restless for the game to start and the bullshit to stop. The townread on Wyrd is reminiscent of the kuribo townread in Gay Mafia a bit which makes me worry, but it's an odd combination for scum synthesis, and it makes sense for DGB to have a townread on someone who is agreeing with most of what she's saying, so I don't really care. The OMGUS bit is ridiculous, sure, but it doesn't seem along the lines of normal DGBscum discrediting. It seems like she got a strong read and is sticking with it, and this is backed up by the Ythan interactions. She really didn't put that much legwork into doing anything as scum, and I see no reason why she would start it up now.
So DGB is also a cool townread.
And where is matt and kaney? I miss them.
