Okay, I know you're not me, but here's how it usually goes for me:

Me, when I'm town and someone suspects me: "yeah okay whatever"

Me, when I'm scum and someone suspects me: "Oh s*** I'm in trouble now!"

I don't think there's much point in me asking if you're like that too (you'd only say you're not ) but it can't be denied that being scumread as town and being scumread as scum feel different from a psychological standpoint.
