↑ Bert wrote:ETL, have you read what I posted since my conversation with beast? That beast convos was a long time ago. Granted I haven't posted in the last few days, but before the game hit the lull and momentum stalled, it was kinda active. Fluffy, but active.
I know it was a long time ago. It's what I remember of you, which is contributing to the read. I missed a large portion of the last week so I don't really know.
I've seen one old Flubber game, but he was a Town Jailkeeper and tried hard. He's null to me because there's no effort. But the point you brought up about the nervousness you saw in his old scumgame is interesting if true, which would make me feel better about lynching that slot.
Yes exactly. In the Newbie, he was trying. He was wrong, but he was actively trying to help. And his posts were very comfortable. If you look at his posting in Chosen, he looks like he's walking on egg shells and not sure what to do/say. His reads/conclusions didn't follow a normal train of thought and that is what I'm seeing here. I almost wish Anti was playing this game to back that up because it's true, but LC and TSO were also in that game and should know exactly what I'm talking about.
And notscience is null/scummy but also I kinda think he's scum? I can't name one post that looks like it came from a town mindset, it's like he's dodgy from going on about anything that's not a shallow read. He's present, maybe not that active, but this reminds me of the several times in old games I was scum with him. This is the type of game that notscience when town gets excited about... i don't get him
Yeah.. I don't know.
There's an out-of-game me that's really super frustrated with him for not putting in any effort and just taking up a slot in a game where everyone's input counts. If he's town, it's really upsetting to have him on the team doing nothing to further the game at all. I feel let down that I can't count on him. If he's scum, I can't imagine what he's doing for his partners, it's pretty fucked up to have a buddy like that in any game. And it's hard to separate my outside frustration with his play overall sitewide from my frustration at him purposely making it difficult to read him here. I don't get the motivation behind that, I agree there's just no town motivation for that kind of behavior at all, but I also know it's not specific to this game so I don't fucking know and it's upsetting.
p-edit: fair enough. i dont know what gambler's fallacy is.

cos I don't.
by the way, mollie, i'm just going to tell you right now, i'm not interested in fighting with you. this post just tells me that you are entering tunnel mode. you've told yourself that it cant possibly be true that i - a serious pothead - do not remember taking note of your votes. i must be lying. so if that's what you believe, then that's what you believe. literally nothing i say would change a mind made up and i'm just not interested in it. i was honest in my comments about you. i dont care if you believe it or not. its not for you.

@notty: you werent townreading majiffy, so notty what do u like about thor's postings?
my prediction is regardless of his alignment whatever wagon he hops on, will become today's lynch. i believe that 100%
i felt majiffy was kinda town but did not have my own reasoning with my paranoia aside (i agreed with his push on GG though, even if the tunneling seemed over the top), and never voted him cos that, and cos hes chill (tho that last part is stupid cos im lame lol). nothing sounded out of character imo but again, purely instinct, from seeing some serious questionable fence sits ( i think) in a few old games with him

I'm less confident about LC, TSO, and Beast than I am the other five
As for AK, I'm not really sure what it was.
pedit-
I was thinking back to the back and forth I had with him
I don't think scum-Majiffy would do that with me if that makes sense

eta: ok i am mixing up old games wrt fencesits. oops. his lighthearted posting outside tunneling to me was still nullish-town to me more than anything though

hey ns
can you explain a little bit about your confidence in mollie/thor/us/bert/guyett? where does it come from?

It's not so much that as it is the other reads are kinda stretching it
tbh I'm part trusting gut on Guyett/Majiffy part looking at yours/mollie's reads

ok. Jiffy wanted to lynch us though. That doesn't affect your read on us at all? Mollie also seems to want to lynch us. That's two people you are townreading who are scumreading one of your other townreads. How does that factor into how you feel about your list?
And can I please ask what is going on with your play lately? Is it something out of game or what... I'm really trying.

And what do you think of TSO/LC's reads on each other? They were scum together in faith plus one and seemed to form a bond there. I don't remember and would have to check but I'm pretty sure they read each other correctly in Chosen - but both were town. Do you think it indicates anything about their alignments?

By kinda stretching it I mean "Trying to find the least scummy of the pool I'm not townreading"
pedit-
That's nice
I'm trusting mollie on Jiffy because iirc she's good at reading him and I didn't necessarily disagree. Like if I disagreed I'd put him at null
And townreads of mine scumreading other townreads of mine doesn't really bug me because I'm just like "I'll cross that bridge when I come to it"
And it's real life bleeding into my play
pedit-
I'm not even sure what their stances on each other are, I'd need to check
That being said just because you have one example of each alignment where they did x does not mean they'll always do x as each alignment

I understand that of course, I just think that they can read each other, so LC townreading TSO and TSO scumreading LC just seems weird to me and if they were both town, I'd think they'd pick up on that the same way they did in Chosen, is all.

weird phantom quote....
but ns probably because he's weird and i've been having the same thing. but if you look back in ISO he's not afraid to rub people the wrong way which is cool but it doesn't come off as scum aggression to me. like its not like he's using it as a way to avoid answering questions.

Regardless I don't think I'm particularly interested in pursuing him today or tomorrow

I've been reading Anatole town mainly because he hasn't used a lot of flawed logic here to make pushes, or twisted people's words around in a certain way that's ruffling
in past games, he kinda did a lot of that as scum
i dont know if that is reliable. here he's more wishy washy, all in all rly different

On one hand, Thor, so lynching him probably bad.
On other hand...THOR. How can we resist?
