Playing the way Luca has is a very legitimate tactic as scum - just coasting through Day 1 while providing town with absolutely nothing. There are lots of players here who would have happily let him get away with it.
I don't think its conclusive evidence for him being town, its just a weird/unlikely argument for scum to make IMO.

Aptil and Bipolar and somewhat RM (although shes posted more things recently IIRC) have also coasted through the Day with limited contributions.

Unless you think Luca was doing it intentionally (we're back to this discussion apparently) which is POSSIBLE but who knows, I find it more likely he was just apathetic about the game or busy which is also not a tell.

I don't see the similarity between Snork's vote on Thad (which seemed pretty valid) and Talah's self-vote.

this seems p much what Snork did (he voted for Thad with 3 days till deadline while still not thinking Talah was town and then switched back.)
I don't get your point. Snork never threw in the towel, self-voted, and called himself an acceptable lynch despite there being other wagons?

His Thad wagon wasn't going anywhere this late in the Day, but it could easily be from town?

Which was indeed the case. I felt a slight benefit of me playing in such a way is that my wagon became a very easy one for scum to jump on, and it's no coincidence the players I am townreading are those that do not automatically assume that such play = scum.

UNVOTE: aptil
VOTE: Luca

I hate the Luca wagon marginally less than the talah one. I thought there were a couple of people on aptil when I voted; apparently not.

Yates, I'm torn on giving you an unreserved town read. There are places where you sound really town to me, but then it fluctuates between being overkill and not being there. But yeah, you obviously weren't tailoring things to how I read you.

I've numbered your points, and will now respond:

1) I disagree, but there's nothing more to say on this

2) Correct, but as I said to Luca earlier -
In post 1297, Damon_Gant wrote:Ok, firstly it's not just your lack of activity, but your absolute refusal to scumhunt when you do post, your contradictory posts, wagon-following, and fencesitting.
My case on Luca is not wholly based on inactivity.

3) If I'm quite honest with you, I have my doubts that Luca's lurking has been tactical in nature, at least not at first. However, it's certainly possible it has been, and I consider that to be far more logical than this idea that his bad play somehow suggests he's town.

Addendum: And is that a hammer?

Why did you feel the need to apologize for this?

We've had claims for days now and there is basically one day until no lynch.

It's day 1. Deadline for the day is March 28th, 21:59 UTC. That's (expired on 2014-03-28 17:59:48).

Yates [1 vote] (pisskop)

Everyone is voting!

With

Because it's proper to note when L-1 is hit. I'm aware that the claim's in and we need to hammer somewhere. Doesn't mean one doesn't do things to facilitate other people knowing the lay of the land.

Ahh, not a hammer, Nero confused me moving his vote from Luca to talah and then back to Luca. This town is very much split.

^ It would be interesting to know what his reason for doing so was; did he prefer a lynch on me but feel Talah's wagon didn't have enough momentum?

I don't see it.

No, I'm not going to let talah be lynched with this as a reason.

As for Luca, I did actually like talah's point in the post I previously quoted regarding the thing about believing one of them over the other. That makes it sound very much like it's a scum v town situation (e.g. 3P LYLO) and isn't what I imagine someone would say who was unsure of talah's alignment (as Luca claimed to be).
In post 1640, Luca Blight wrote:I have been generally busy of late, though I don't expect you to believe that so it's a pointless question. I never said my lack of activity was a town tell, I merely commented that the manner in which I was posting was such that if I was another player, I wouldn't expect someone who plays in such a way on day 1 to flip scum. Obviously this is a moot point, WIFOM etc.
Also, this really bothers me. Wasn't he saying that it was a towntell? If it's not a towntell, is he scum? I think town here would just say it was a towntell and not try to say they weren't claiming that.

There's still over a day until the deadline, have you completely given up on the idea that I could be town?

I'll tell you what, if there's no hammer in say the next 15 hours or so I'll hammer myself, how about that.

I've been accused of lurking this game, but you're taking things to a new level.
You still alive?

Your interaction with talah earlier was pretty odd. Before that you were fine with not interfering with the lynch and leaving your fate in our hands. You were so passive it hurt. Suddenly you want to lynch talah and you're not as fine with your lynch as you were before. Your sudden change in behavior is pretty alarming. Besides, I have been feeling better about talah and I think that if he really is town that it will become more evident as the game progresses and that he'll be easier to read because he's no longer distracted by MR and posts more than you do. I think that if I let you live that you'll just go back to lurking, placing odd-looking votes and just get lynched anyway, which sucks if you're town; and if you're scum we're better off lynching you today.

No, you have just flown under the radar more than I have because I haven't been trying to make an effort to blend in the days I was busy, while you have been cautiously lurking all game.

I don't believe you actually think that is why we voted you.
Please do tell then.
Both Snork and I had expressed suspicion over you and had you in our scum tiers. It's naive to think that we'd just start a CW on you because you started one, and for some reason you don't strike me like the naive type.

That fake-interpretation of our actions was just a way to discredit our attempted CW on you because you present a silly hypocrite reason that was never given by us and ignore the actual reasons behind the vote.
