Next up is a town win where I actually do something!

My biggest sadness is that Heiss died night one. EtL and Beli played a mean game, but managed to run afoul the main weakness I gave Heiss--an early-game vulnerability. If Heiss survived, he was going to turn into a half-cultleader/bulletproof sk depending on how it worked. This is what really led to the ridiculous amount of town power--the game was supposed to have at least one more scum-kill.

The setup is roughly balanced in bizaaroworld--a lot of the swing was supposed to come down to if Luke rolled town or scum, but the way Bulba played the role was very in-your-face and generally in a way that would have rocked hard as town, but really lost a lot of the oomph as scum. 'Fang Blade' flavor was deliberate.

I only tagged this game as bastard due to Primal Dialga and Heiss's cult mechanic, to an extent. Otherwise, if you look, I completely omitted any sense of bastardness so to speak--no godfathers, millers, etc. I was kinda proud of that. If you want some future natimodding protips, read your role PMs very carefully--I speak in half-truths a lot.

That being said, I also did design this setup to be relatively townsided. A constant theme in my works is that I underestimate the power of my scumteams, and it shows--to date, towns in my games have only won one game(Dark Age of the Law). This was a deliberate response to that. I do apologize to Oversoul and Bulba, especially, because they were the unwitting guinea pigs and the game was functionally over day three. If I ran this setup again, I would likely give scum-bulba a bus driving ability of some sort.

The redirect-to-a-dead-player that Shadoweh did on the last night was something of a mistake on my part. After seeing SK tracked to morph, she sent me this skype exchange

In the end, I hope everyone had fun--I've always said balance should really be a facilitator for fun, and this game is something of a proof of concept to me.

In the near future, I don't have really many ideas--Serum & Steel is currently running, and I'm gonna run a large Advance Wars UPick after that, but in the mini/micro world, I dunno. But I will have something when it's my turn again, so stay tuned!
