↑Zachrulez wrote:I don't find bandwagoning scummy, avoiding bandwagons is something I'd see as more likely to extend RVS.
Then what are your thoughts on Haddock?
↑Matias wrote:I don't agree with you. I don't think Haddock's "vote" was early at all. It was after 3 votes on Llamarble's bandwagon. Do you agree that, if you don't find bandwagoning scummy, that those that avoid bandwagoning are instead the scummy ones? Or do you feel like that isn't necessarily the case?
Unvote
This is what I'm talking about. Not "early at all"! "After 3 votes on Llamarble's bandwagon" , like that was anything other than 3 rvs votes on the same person.
↑Matias wrote: Read my earlier post on my bandwagon analysis.
What analysis? I just ISOed you and I can't see any. Notepad?
VOTE: Matias
This post is just terrible. The point of Matias' post was not about Captain Haddock, but about discussing Zachrulez' motivation. This shows that Haddock is image conscious and lashing out at perceived threats.
I missed this completely, but now that I look back on it, Haddock's actions seem really scummy. In context, it seems like a very weird thing for him to say, like he perceived even slightest thing to be a threat. I don't like it.
unvote; vote: Captain Haddock
Subtle encouragement to vote me but no attack and voting someone else is no threat at all. Your logic applies more to Matias, as he took no issue with my reasons for voting him(ignored my case) but voted me. You and Amrun should be voting him.
No I shouldn't be voting for Mat. Why? Because he didn't perceive a non-existent threat. I'm not sure if you understand the case against you. I'm voting you because you thought there was some sort of threat against you in Matias' posting when there wasn't anything of the sort. That is self-centered scum play IMO.

Open question: Does TSQ have meta on lurking as scum?

Isa claims that he complained multiple times about the White Flag setup in the chat. Why would you lie Regfan?
And yeah, I want some firm reasons as to why I'm scum because I see next to none reasons even though several people read me as such.

↑Cogito Ergo Sum wrote:So no reasoning for any of those, 'marble? And why did you put me in scumland?
Mostly it was 'look at X' or 'I have scummeta of CES bandwagon early' ... 'oh he always does that? Okay he looks decently town.'
I'll walk through my QT in detail if I'm run up.
As for scumland, it was too much talking about things that aren't who is scum and why, vote sitting in one place for awhile instead of moving around aggressively, and the way you treated DH's vote on you as invalid because of your meta instead of invalid because you're town.
I'm not really feeling it right now though.

FoS: Johhog
Fishing around for views on self instead of scum. This most is mainly just a defense asking for reasons why people think he's scum. Also, Johhog's vote has been parked on Benmage long passed its welcome. He's given no follow up pressure or reasoning behind his vote that I can see. His posts have mainly been weak questions without follow up or anything.

I'm happy with my vote and I'll not change it before we reach a consensus in the team. As of now the four of us have 3 scum reads together and it's only one of us who has a scum read on either, Isa thinks that Zach is scum, PeregrineV thinks that CES is scum and I think that Benmage is scum.
But yeah, your case is weak. Like extremely weak. I just can't see how asking for a case is scummy.

I was just reading your ISO and thinking pretty much exactly the things Bub said.
Also you have a lot of posts about not-relevant-to-who-is-scum things.

That's how I post but don't worry, I'll post less from time to time. I tend to post little but explode and post several posts a day from time to time.

The quantity is not the issue, its the quality. You've spent a ton of time either defending yourself or talking about irrelevant things but zero time trying to find scum or pressuring the person that you are actually voting for.

I'm attacked = I defend myself.
And reread my posts. I've scumhunted a little bit (but not as much as some others, I'm aware of that). I've never done that though as I'm heavy on gut, I try to ask a few important questions instead of several unnecessary.

It's not at all, actually. You think everyone is limited to one scum read per day and can only discuss the person they are voting? No.

I don't like when people have an on site presence and ignore this game. I like the fact that he's posted in the team mafia thread while continuing to not post here even less.
Benmage is also causing me to twitch and I'd be happy voting him at this point as well.

I don't like it either - and I noted in my team QT that TSQ posted in the Team Mafia thread after kuribo pointed out that singer probably suspects TSQ since he's been active in scumchat. I bet Elli's reading this and laughing because we're using his tell.
I don't like it, and it's so extremely scummy that I can't see scum doing it, ESPECIALLY when he has a team to poke his ass in gear.
TSQ is not an idiot. Would he really, as scum, decide not to post here but stay active on scumchat and post in the Team Mafia thread, making himself extremely conspicuous?
I realize this argument boils down to "too scummy to be scum," but, uh. That's how I feel. lol
Although I think it's too far to call him town off of this. I think it's null. For whatever reason he's staying out of this game, I doubt it has to do with his alignment because he's not that stupid.
I'd rather evaluate him after his re-entrance.

Well I'm going off memory since the particular thread was apparently erased by the crash, but I believe he started or contributed to a thread where he wanted people punished for talking about ongoing games for pointing out the fact that paticular players were posting in other games while avoiding a paticular one. This suggests his own playstyle as scum follows that philosophy.
This MD post from him suggests that he would consider lurking like this as scum to be a viable strategy if the town was resistant to lynching lurkers. (You're already providing some.)
Also the structure of team mafia allows a player to be inactive for something like a week before they are forcibly replaced, and in a game with 2 week deadlines, that is going to be very hard to actively police with anything other than pressure.
Also what aids my thought process is that I'm not really getting any hugely strong scumreads off of anyone other than maybe Benmage. Given those kind of reads, it's not a huge stretch for me to believe that TSQ might be lurking out the day hoping that a wagon like Haddock goes through instead.

I do remember that thread you're talking about. I take that to mean he just avoids threads regardless of alignment, though.
If TSQ continues to lurk for ANYTHING like a week, then yeah, we will probably just need to take care of that. But it's been like one or two days, and I'm not ready to lynch any lurkers yet.
Socio has posted what, once, and he's not getting any attention. It's too early for lurker lynches.

For the record I love me some lurking as scum, and I'm not stupid either.
