Um...Are we seriously reading the same game?
I placed my RANDOM vote on you before there was a single vote on me. Then I voted Klick for transparent reasons (he pushed me harder than most, and without solid reason at first), and when Klick made transparent his reasons for voting me, I switched to Konowa for what I STILL SWEAR is solid reason, though it seems like no one else agrees with me.
I'm calling you out on flat out lying here. I only switched my vote after there was pressure on me twice, and I gave very good reasoning to do so. This is BULLSHIT.
Memo to self, this isn't useful until we have a flip, but I'm feeling a strong connection between GreyICE and jason. they're probably the same alignment

Grey, I don't understand your trepidation about the Jason wagon? His "I did it for the LOLS reaction/discussion test" with lack of follow through is common scum motivation.

I'm tired of dealing with Jason day 1. It's boring, it's not finding us scum, and I think he's as tired of it as I am.
He always acts like this. ICENinja is actual scum. I'd rather lynch actual scum than someone who always plays scummy day 1 and is not a VI. Jason will either start giving a shit about this game sometime midway through day 1, at which point he's town, or he'll try to fake it really obviously, at which point he's scum.

About time then, huh?
I also don't get what I'm supposed to be seeing (skimmed Dr. Who). Play is not similar, in my opinion. There he was engaging and -actually- discussing. Here he posted ambiguous statements about what scum would do in a "trap situation", never minding town would react to it as well, and has yet to follow up with anything. This -is- scum motivation.
As an alternative, what about Kimor?

In 175 I completely call him out for it.
In 178 he pretends I didn't.

I read Zd’s opening vote on you as serious…
I’ve played with Zd before and his style is pretty no-nonsense / aggressive right out of the gate.
For those interested it was in
Newbie 1142 it’s a short read, but he seems to be playing the same way here imo..
↑ GreyICE wrote:And now the people who speed voted him for being OBVIOUS SCUM are coming in to jump on the Jason wagon with the worst reasoning ever.
Vote: ICENinja
Not sure i follow you on comparing the reasoning behind the ICEnin votes to the Jason votes, unless you are saying that the voting behind both were bad?
regardless, Jason's Lol/Discussion/TrapCard excuse totally looks like a backpedal... why not just say he did it for the lulz? that would've been believable...or even just saying yeh, he wanted to spark discussion..that might've been believable too… or even saying he wanted to see who would “bite” at his little trap?
by themselves, they would sound credible, but all of them at the same time?
Please explain how “trying to spark discussion and setting a trap for scum” is “LOL-worthy?” that doesn't even make sense..
It was either a serious vote or it wasn’t...can’t be both.
Jason looks like he panicked and threw out a bunch of excuses all at once, which was over-kill..

ICEninja (hell, caught myself typing just ICE), i reread your play in this game, and stumbled on something i would like to understand.
↑ ICEninja wrote:Klick wrote:
This post is totally fake. It also sounds nothing like his play from the one Mini game I played with him, where he was town.

3) You're going to assume that I play exactly as I did during a mini game we played together that was probably quite some time ago? Funny man. Especially considering you're an alt, you can conveniently not make actual reference to this should you be called on it.
However, I will concede the point that, as of right now, you probably have the most solid reasoning for suspects out of anyone, and kick starting a game like that with honesty suggests you're probably more likely town than scum for now.
Klick made two statements, one that your post is totally fake, and another involving town meta from unknown game. If you had no idea who Klick is and what game he is referencing, why did you call his explanation probably "the most solid reasoning for suspects out of anyone"?

Because at least he tried. Everyone else had NOTHING.
I countered his argument, but his scum hunting seemed the most town motivated of the lot.

ICEninja's persistence on this point is starting to irritate me. I gave reasons for my initial vote, which he ignored, and then gave reasons as to why my read evolved from a mostly page one scum gut read to an actual reasoned scum read, which he ignored. He has hung his hat on the fact that absolutely no way anyone could've seen Zdenek's, or mine for that matter, as serious. I know I said that scum would've been more self-consious of votes on them but the continued repetativeness without addressing any reasoning behind the votes is starting to lean me back to an ICEscum alignment.

Alright, I am at L-2..
OK, I will explain what I meant again, and try and make sense... the LOLS bit was more I found the reaction by some funny. But I still maintain that putting someone at L-1 with little reasoning would be the thing scum would jump at, thinking it can be pushed and an easy lynch can be made of it....
the fact I am at L-2 now shows that I was right.
Not sure if I will be back online tonight, so I will claim.
I am Mortimer Lindquist, an Ectomancer
(whatever that is lol)
I used to live a world of magic but no longer do as I left it a long time ago, however I can channel the dead who have not been dead for more than one day cycle...and choose to open a QT to the dead and talk to a dead person at for that one day. this is my active night action.. because I used to be involved in magic, I just have enough power left to do this once. this is called 'channeling'
I have a passive ability, a vote.

That's why you /totally/ called out GreyICE when he continued to call ICENinja obvscum, right? Or, like, greenknight and StefanB when they kept talking about why their ICENinja votes were legitimate?
I think you're lying.
Also, #137 is inconsistent with #134.
jason wrote:Waiting on more people joining it, so you can justify your vote, eh? no commitment from you
Like, does that read as null-town to you? No, didn't think so.
VOTE: jasont1981 (L-3 I think?)
kortul wrote:@fatlikepig - if you think that Jason "attitude here is awful and scummy", why didn't you vote him, just unvoted ICEninja?
Eh, sort of wanted more to go on before I wagoned someone, since the thing I pointed out is something that... newer? (for lack of a better term) town does occasionally too (and if I recall correctly, someone said that Jason gets mislynched a lot as town).
pidgey wrote:FLP: People that come in, leave what appears to be a serious vote, and leave without saying anything at all, weird me out.
So, does that mean scum, or what?
Pidgey's #128 and #131 look pretty bad too. #128 seems like avoiding having to justify his Jason vote (ignoring GreyICE's point that anti-town =/= scum). #131 is mudslingy and sounds contrived.
I don't understand this whole Konowa business. #122 is goodposting, tbh.
Interesting, you vote me when you see me calling you on something?

↑ curiouskarmadog wrote:I have been in over 70 fucking games…so if it is really something you think you should vote me over…go ahead.
I was pretty clear about how I felt about this:
↑ Zdenek wrote:So considering this meta, it certainly doesn't point to you being town and maybe slightly to scum.
I'm not voting you and maybe slightly to scum wouldn't have been enough on it's own to make me want to vote you.
On top of that you've given more games where this has happened and you've been town. To be honest, they are quite old, so I am not how reasonable it is to appeal to them.
At the moment, it seems like it's irrelevant.
↑ curiouskarmadog wrote:what is scum’s motivation for unvoting and not revoting?
I don't think that there is scum motivation for voting and unvoting, but I find that actions that I don't understand or dont't see a clear motivation for tend to come from scum more often than town, which was my issue in the first place. As far as doing the research goes, meta can sometimes be a useful way to read people, so I went and looked at your past games.
↑ curiouskarmadog wrote:take a look (or relook) on the games where scum attacked me for not revoting after an unvote….in my shoes what reaction should I have to this?
In my experience there are no scummy reasons for voting people. I have seen both town and scum use let's say remarkably unique reasons for voting people and I have also seen them both use boiler plate scum tells (especially early in the game). For the most part what people say they find scummy as scum are the same as the things that they actually find scummy when they are town. So I'd say that the "scum jump on unvoting" tell that you are suggesting exists probably doesn't. The reality is that alignment is reflected more in the nature of the attack (for instance, Tasky pushing you incredibly hard for really flimsy reasoning in Mad World Mafia).
↑ ICEninja wrote:Because if you look at ALL the other votes, they're clearly either RVS (in Zdenek's case),
Does this comment make sense from someone with two votes on them who thinks that one one of them is random?
↑ ICEninja wrote:Oh I see how it is, the person who makes the most intelligent post thus far gets the votes. You worried, scum, that I might be paying a little extra attention, and want to get rid of me right off the bat?
Nopity nope. Lynchity lynch.

Jason, I'm on the fence about whether or not I believe you. Do me a favor and briefly describe your relationship with Harry Dresden for me.
I'm feeling a bit discouraged about this game. Usually by this point in time, my scum hunting and pressuring is leading town towards a lynch. In fact, I'm typically one of the biggest driving forces behind the day 1 lynch. However, this game it just seems off. A point that I felt so sure about is turning up with nothing.
I'm going to read the game over tomorrow, hopefully with a little less bias this time around. Hopefully I'll get something fresh.
For the time being I'm going to
unvote
, as I'm obviously getting nowhere with my Konowa line of reasoning.

Cute, way to not address anything I raised.

Anyway,
UNVOTE: because of claim yada yada yada. Gaoler is pretty easily confirmed (although this /is/ bastard - I guess the flavour names could help out here, though, so someone more familiar with the series can deal with that), so I'm not /really/ interested in lynching him today.
Konowa, I wouldn't mind hearing reasons for why you think sword is scum.
