Basically, I'm predetermined scum so whatever I do is scummy. You're predetermined town Toasty so what you do is automatically townie.

That's his real explanation.

More substantive feedback tomorrow morning. It's late here and I keep running into too many connections bullcrap.

Wouldn't say "predetermined", "determined" makes more sense.

Titus, can I get some reads from you?

My other heads have been busy over the weekend and do I want to discuss with them the merits of moving the vote to jake. He has posted some very prosctive and anslysing posts and seems to be of similar opinion to us in regards to the chief suspects in the game.

For now I will hold the vote where it is because I haven't seen toogeloo do anything to make me reassess my view of him from earlier in the game. And in fact he and jake are on the same page with their reads from what I can tell, but jake had been far more pressing in putting pressure on others.

Either vote feels strong so I will check with the others.

Imperium (Nacho/Tammy hydra) - Town, his read on me was pretty spot on accurate and he goes into extensive detail with his own reads posting unique content. I disagree with a few of his reads but they all seem very well thought out.
2. keybladewielder - Null. Not enough to read the slot.
3. Titus - THAT'S ME!
4. Minions (Hydra) - I don't know on this slot yet. Leaning town but it's a very weak lean.
5. Gnomeo - Guy who asked me for reads and not much else. Leaning scum.
6. Bulbazak - Town. I like Bulb's idea for having one be the popular FoS and the other being the HoH's choice for being the most scummy with reasons.
7. BBmolla - Scum. Uses conclusion based reasoning. Also, he overreacted to my observations.
8. peacebringer - I want to see more before I read this slot.
9. blackberry - Town. I'd vote him for HoH but he said he doesn't want it yet.
10. Jake from Rainbow Dash (Hydra of Jake From State Farm and RainbowDash - I lean town on this spot. It would be a firmer town but all his suggestions benefit scum. Ex: Forcing the HoH to nominate the scummy consensus.
11.ToastyToast - Town. He's willing to buck popularity to get scum and I really like that. It shows no sense of self preservation.
12.RachMarie - I hope she gets over her injury soon. Then I can really read this slot.
13. Toogeloo - I had this spot as town until that last post wanting Molla as HoH. Molla is a square scumread of mine.
14. Desperado - Need more content.

Riddle me this batman. If town out number scum, how is taking the consensus from a towb majority helping scum?

This hydra is Nacho+Tammy. Minions is an anonymous hydra but we have our suspicions.

That's the same way mislynches occur Jake.

Scum encourage the town that a player is scummy when they really aren't.

This read actually might just make Titus as bad as me but town

Titus, your three null reads are interesting. KBW gets a flat "Null. Not enough to read the slot," Rach gets a sympathetic "I hope she recovers from her injury soon, then I can really read her slot," and I get "Need more content." Given their respective reputations, it looks like you're setting up Rach to be a townread, KBW to be a scumread, and hedging on me.

Also your Molla read blows. I had the exact same reaction to your "That was a hell of a fast turn" as Molla did. Trying to pass it off as an "observation" when it was really a thinly-veiled accusation, and then calling Molla a "square" scumread for overreacting to what you said is scummy. Real scummy.

I have a small scumread on Rach from her two posts btw. From their content, not from her lack of posting.

@Desperado, I'm not setting up anything. However, you are analyzing my post which is very town oriented. You and KBW were equal in my eyes at the time. I feel relatively confident that I can read KBW as scum if he is scum thanks to Newbie 1396. You on the other hand, I have no prior meta with. RachMarie I know that she had a knee injury but that's not more or less likely to make her town. It's just something I keep in mind when looking at her lurky status.

It was an observation of something off. It wasn't an accusation. When I accuse, I flat out accuse. I don't mince words. When I have uncertainty, I straight out say I have uncertainty. The one thing you don't get from me is vague set up posts.

But you have to be cognizant of the way the observation came off. From a third party perspective, I read that as a clear FOS.

The reason it's scummy is that you're still trying to deny that it was. If your answer to "what was the purpose of that statement?" is "it was just an observation" then you're doing it wrong and need rope.

No. If I intended that to be a FoS, then I wouldn't have taken Molla's response as an overreaction. Saying someone turned fast is not a FoS. People may turn fast for not scummy reasons. It was an observation and that was all. I'm not going to say it was a FoS to all of a sudden attempt not to be lynched. When I FoS, I am damn clear that I am FoSing.

So why did you phrase it as a declaration and not a question? If you weren't sure about his alignment, don't you think it would have been more effective to...ask him why he turned so fast?

Posted: Sun Aug 25, 2013 7:41 am
by Titus
Because I wasn't asking him a question. I was making an observation. If he felt the need to explain, I would have gotten more than asking a question. The need to explain away observations is more likely scum if the explanation is dramatic or awkward. The acknowledgement of behavior is more likely town. An aggressive question causes both scum and town to defend themselves, thus losing any information obtained.

1. Imperium (Nacho/Tammy hydra): Town. I very much liked his reads list. Especially the "Town+" part, which includes my strongest reads as well.
2. keybladewielder: Very bad enrance. Not much else. Leaning Scum
3. Titus: Scum. Made some questionable posts earlier and then his comments on KBW look a bit off. The difference in reads also worries me.
4. Minions (Hydra): Leaning town. I like his push on Titus.
6. Bulbazak: Leaning scum. I don't like the direction he tried to lead us to(the HoH choosing by himself)
7. BBmolla: Leaning town. Gut read.
8. peacebringer: null. I did not get a proper read from his posts.
9. blackberry: Leaning town because of his first post.
10. Jake from Rainbow Dash (Hydra of Jake From State Farm and RainbowDash): Town since #47.
11.ToastyToast: Slightly leaning scum. Gut read
12.RachMarie: Null.
13. Toogeloo: Town: His entrance was pretty good and the rest of his posts were fine too. I am fine with his suggestions for elimination.
14. Desperado: Leaning town since #189
