to me it is more how it evolved from there, how he was in regards to getting some votes about it (essentially responded to the pressure he got from his RVS vote in a scummy way - town would have been more 'whatevers', imo), his attitude since

it seems more like a scum attitude of "fucking RVS shenanigans and I'm getting SR for it as scum and they won't back off, fucking hell"
