The issue with this is that the first nine questions showed that asking questions willy-nilly is unlikely to result in a Yes.

It looks to me that the third word is important; I believe that no two questions with the same first three words have been answered differently. I've noticed that all of the Yes questions have a third word that begins and ends with a vowel, but it can't quite be that because of #27 (and #42, now), so I definitely think that riffing on previous questions to find what exactly causes the answer to change is the right way to go.

Correct!

Minor details: A/E/I/O/U/Y counted as vowels for purposes of this rule; all other letters as consonants. And no third word = there is no third word that has more vowels than consonants, ergo automatically a no.

Awesome. I liked the level of difficulty of this rule, though I can imagine it might have been too much for some people. I'll think up a rule tonight and in the meantime it might be good for some more people to weigh in on whether they thought this round was too long/too hard.

I'm okay with the way things are now. If the game starts dragging, maybe consider some changes ... but I definitely didn't think this one dragged at all.

I'll think up a rule tonight and in the meantime it might be good for some more people to weigh in on whether they thought this round was too long/too hard.
The first time I was the oracle in the first game, my rule turned out to be much harder to guess than I thought—one of the hardest up to that point, if I'm not mistaken. For some rules, you have to analyze the questions very carefully, like with Farren's.
