It really could be either. I would say most players in this game are guilty of not trying to figure out the game, myself included.

he literally thinks it's a smart move for scum who was blocked to claim a result on a partner anyway

and he cannot fathom the concept of rolefishing

and thinks that SMP's only option was to guess lucky when someone claimed a role block on him

i cannot possibly take anything he says seriously if he thinks this makes sense. it is quite possibly the worst reasoning i've ever seen for someone calling me scum and i have been called scum for talking like a pirate. i thought that was the lowest point it could get to, but jake is going for the record here.

I did fathom the idea of rolefishing btw, but the fact that he claimed his action was successful even though he knows he was RBd proves he wasn't thinking clearly. Why would someone who was RBd claim to have gotten a result knowing they were going to be immediately shut down? I have seen scum fake innocents on their partners before. You think I am stupid to even consider such an idea but anyone dismissing it completely is also stupid. Scum do stupid things in the heat of the moment when they don't have time to think.

Ive seen scum claim cop with a guilty on the other only to have that guy cc and then the real cop claimed. so yeah I don't completely ignore any possibility.

I understand this - indeed, I discussed his case with him and my thoughts as pertains to it, and what you're describing here is exactly in line with my own presented thoughts. I don't see though how that prevents interaction on a polite level.

And I have continually expressed that my issue is that you are needling him and I consider that to be a sideways attempt to create bad reactions from him, and I think those bad reactions could lead to him being lynched.

I have expressed that belief. In all honesty, I'm not particularly comfortable with this lynch and I'm backing a middle of the road read as a lynch candidate right now, but I'd like to get a claim on the table with at least a day or so to debate and decide an alternative if needed.

make sense with SMP? He flip-flopped on him D1. On D2 he was on the SMP wagon, but given that SMP was strongly suspected the previous day and Anti came out with his claim fairly early, it seems like a reasonable bus opportunity.

I've seen other Aegor games. This does not feel unusual in the grand scope of his playstyle. Now, I suppose we could debate whether it's a good playstyle, sure, but I think you're making a really shallow case here that is, functionally, no better than an RVS vote. Yeah, he might flip scum - but you aren't showing any real evidence to suggest he's scum, so why are you so attached to that vote?

I'll be honest, I am sucking this game. I am not strongly confident in any single scum read. I'm quite comfortable with my town reads on Jake and Anti, and BRO is confirmed town. Everyone else, I wouldn't be too surprised either way. Aegor is the only player who I have more than minimal suspicion of because his voting patterns and lack of explanations are anti-town. I see no town motivation in this behavior, and the fact that he's continued to do it is on all of us for not holding him accountable. SG, if stuff like the above is Aegor's typical play, and if he's getting away with it all the time as either alignment, then the site meta is worse off than I ever imagined.

There is nothing to hold me accountable for. I have been clear about why Mac and the AJ slot are both good lynches. You act as if other players are providing solid cases that I am ignoring in favor of shitvotes. That is simply not true: I have yet to see what I would consider a case more compelling or thorough than my case on Mac. You are more than welcome to point me in the direction of one if you disagree.

Part of the problem is that some players decided that it would be a good idea to shitpost for like 30 pages, reducing motivation to slog through anything other than the end-of-day wagons.
