Hmmm, I don't know much of MS etiquette as my experience is mainly in live settings, but I care about winning more than being a good sport  , sorry!

I don't agree that they're unsportsmanlike. Scum should be smart enough not to gloat.

Fakehammers are a mostly useless tool. It's like the fake dayvig, in that respect. Perhaps a tad better, but still super easy to manipulate. Chances of catching scum are lower than dismissing scum for their 'obviously town'-reaction. No good scum will be caught. You won't learn shit.

I was like....so sure you were scum.

Just like I was super sure that Kthx was scum.

This game has definitely expanded my horizons on what is and isn't possible/probable for scum to do.

I still don't understand why Ghato originally wanted to go to night rather than just claim and try to get us to lynch Reck.

I also am ethically OK with them. They just have no practical protown benefit and can be easily exploited by scum.

Not unsportsmanlike in any way though. Mostly indicative of mediocre scumhunting.

Also, Nacho and F16, did you get that revive thing as a mod-provided fake claim or did you come up with that on your own?

Some people are smart. Everyone else is a genuis. My god I'm stupid I don't deserve to live. This is the logic you just used. Sure good scumplayers will not be caught, this can be said for almost any gambit you cam think of, and agreed it's a low % play, this does not mean it's useless when used on Kthxbye when he is going to get lynched anyway, the fact we misred his reaction and went ahead with the lynch is our mistake.

They came up with it themselves and requested a fake claim, pretty good idea.

A philosophy to live by.

No, this is not true. You can definitely catch good scum with a good gambit, fakehammering just isn't one. It's nothing against you, but it's just something that does little good (likelier to do harm). If someone is going to get lynched anyway, why does the gambit matter?

But you would have won anyway, no doubts about that, it just pissed me off so much I think I share your 415 emotions now.

I would gloat but Anti did a lot more in that game than me so I really don't have anything to gloat about. :S

I really enjoyed this game even after I met with an "accident" and had to be replaced.

I think the fakeclaim was a gutsy move and I don't think I'd have had the nerve to do it as scum. I can't even say I wouldn't be fooled by it again because it was so unexpected. I know I'll remember this game for a long while.

I'm very glad town figured it out in the end, though. <3

Thank you, Ffery!

On the contrary I was scumreading him every few pages before you came in and muddied my read with good information presented with the usual TTH townflair.

@Tier
I can't see it being harmful, I would not try it on a scumplayer whom I believe has the ability to turn it around and fake it convincingly enough, which as we just saw is incredibly hard, so that play only has positive equity from my perspective, admittedly it's likely going to be useless as you said but I don't see why not take the odd chance when someone is already compromised and Kthx gave as good a reaction as possible fmpov so zi should hsve followed my gut.

Fakehammers can and have won me games. As both alignments.

Title should have been changed to [game over] so that I could rush in. Was surprised that this game was referenced and I thought this was day 6

I've taken up design of my first MS large theme game again. It's based on Tarot card meanings. Won't be a uPick. As always, hydrae welcome. If you'd like a pre-in, let me know.

I designed and modded a Tarot-based uPick micro a few months ago, if you're curious what the theme might entail.

Large games are the last format I haven't tried yet onsite and the micro setup looks interesting, so I'd like to pre-in.
