As of who will hammer after I'm done - does not matter for the town (we've seen all the hammer intents) but does matter for me: at least I will control my own lynch if most of the town can't see the obvious. You may consider it my whim.

Also, Netherspite, it DOESN'T work as a scum tactic. Because now, if I vote anyone other than myself for the rest of the game, I'll be lynched immediately anyways. If I was scum, I would have essentially forfeited; and would've just claimed scum to get lynched and end the game. I'm not scum though, just essentially useless town who needs to go before LyLo so that I'm not used as lynchbait.

Still think someone needs to hammer Nether once he does this special 'reveal' or whatever.

Why exactly?

If someone else hammers you and you're town, that gives us more information about who'd be willing to hammer you and whatnot. If you self hammer, you stop town from this helpful information and make it harder to find scum than it would've been had you let someone else hammer you.

What information could a vanilla town possibly have that they want to be sure they'd be dead before they shared it with the rest of town?

I'm very curious why you'd have to be dead to give town information, especially considering the irony that you're wanting to hammer yourself and take information away from town.
