Friendless Seniors wrote:hey cakez, you realize town does not act super productive all the time, right? a lot of your case seems to be based on some weird concept that town is hard working, productive and collaborative while scum is lurky and mean.

I don't know if that's how you really feel or if you're scum, but even if I WERE scum, that isn't a good case. Things like the "skimming the thread in a way that I see coming from town", that's a common thing town does. Obviously not ideal, but scum skimming and town skimming are very different and the difference is usually quite apparent. both skim thread, scum are skimming for very different things than town are

First part: yeah I do

Explain this. How is the skimming different?

is this nacho or plot? I'm going to go back and look. I've forgotten what that was about, in all honesty.

@cakez, scum get lazy. I'm sure you've noticed a game where you're town and missed something, skimmed over some content, ya? It happens to everyone (except plot). People make mistakes, miss things etc. They are primarily looking for a fundamentally different thing than scum. Scum concerned with votes, lining up of lynches on people who aren't them. Town are more likely to be "lost" while scum are more likely to be vanishing.

Not a great explanation, but dif win cons means different attitude, brain will pick up dif info

davesaz wrote:You really do need to listen to the people who have played with me before. Not that one vote really matters that much, but wasted effort that doesn't go into finding scum becomes harmful after a point.

This post seems a lot more town than not; I'm not sure dave would be treating a player incessantly tunneling on him like this if he was scum.

Axelrod wrote:People in the middle: Pistachi0n, Pied Piper, Tic Tac, TrueOgre, Sakura Hana, Skybird. The Miller claim is kind of null to me. If pistachi0n had done it before most of the people in the game had already posted it would have been a stronger play, but the delayed entrance made it a much less risky proposition as a scum gambit. and then he was away for another day after, and by the time he came back Ami was no longer even voting for him. He hasn't done enough of anything else to give me a strong feeling about him. TicTac I thought had a strong entrance, but then the rest of his posting has been kind of meh. Sakura it's possible there's a language or cultural thing going on there but the whole exchange with him was just weird. The way he jumped on whether or not my random vote was serious did not make any sense at all. Skybird hasn't done much of anything. I kind of liked Ami's point about him, so he might be more a leaning scum than a total null.

Why is it that we ended up in the middle without a nod in our direction? I figured you would be at least somewhat interested in working with me (Nacho) after Classic, and I'm always surprised when people who haven't played with Plot before don't townread them immediately.

Mirhawk wrote:No.
I meant that if we assume she was scum then we have to assume she is playing badly.
If we assume she is town then we are making assumptions about the game setup that we cant back up and have no way to confirm.

I don't like either of those choices.

The way that you're pushing at this probably means that there's something about your mindset that I don't understand, but.

Amihan claims miller in response to Pistachion claiming miller. If she is town, this doesn't automatically mean that Pistachion is scum. The only way that this leads to an incredibly crappy response is if town blindly follows Amihan's claim to a lynch (which is what you were doing), that's "making assumptions about the game setup that we can't back up". Voting Pistach even though you were decently confident that Amihan makes absolutely no sense, and "maybe I was wrong" doesn't clear things up at all for me. Maybe you were wrong, yes, but you felt it was more likely that you were right so don't you usually make the plays that are the most likely to be right?

Nacho :(

Unfortunately, I'm still like 40 pages behind and am now fighting to catch up and be a real player again.

This post is weird. It was at the point where beeboy hadn't really said anything. I mean, I get why some people would scumread me, but I'm not sure any of them were particularly convinced before post 123 that beeboy was making a good push lol.

He was like quasi-rvs'ing me at that point. To me, this looks like true ogre checked in and saw beeboy say a bunch of words directed at me, and just kinda assumed it was a good case. It reads as a very lurky-town

theres a few other posts like that. Trueogre awkwardly trying to step in and be a big part.

He looks like hes trying but is behind, basically.

I'm rereading a bit, and cakez could be scum.

Tictac seems more likely scum than everyone else tbh. I think ranger is still safest today because I think deadline is soon?

We have two days
Someone (Ranger I think?) brought up a tictac wagon earlier. I'd do that.

Actually
VOTE: tictac
Still think Mirhawk is scum but I want to try this. I have been voteparked too long, that part of the case on me is true.

please @ cakez. I want to know your thoughts.

Do you townread tictac, spiffeh? Every time they make a post it gets universally panned and then shoved under the rug. It feels like the classic "your second scumread is scum", tell. Like, I'm pretty sure everyone is at least partially scumreading tictac?

@Cakez
Spoiler: Why Ranger slot is scum
Spiffeh wrote:
Swordsworth wrote:Sorry for any excessively delayed responses, I'm currently out of town.

Just reading over everything that's happened, I'd like Ami to clarify themself on what exactly they're trying to say pertaining to Pistachio's Miller claim. Is it a CC? A hinting at it? Just trying to see how people react?

My current scumreads at this time would probably be somewhere in the block of Hiplop, Cakez, and Beeboy. I have a question for you three: What if Pistachio is shot and flips town? What does this suggest about Ami, and would that warrant an instant vote?

@the late RVS matter, I can only be around early morning and laaate evening for this week. Sorry about that.

Swordsworth is scum because his scum reads are basically the people that are around and "controversial" and the fact that he doesn't justify any of them doesn't sit well with me especially since I highly doubt any of them would be scum together. Idk he just cast a really large and broad net and looks like he only listed scum reads to have them.

And like Tammy said earlier, he is overly apologetic when he doesn't need to be and it reads as newbscum.

Spiffeh wrote:
Ranger wrote:Spiffeh does see obvscum in my experience.

I speak as the obvscum he caught in Mafiaception.

Tonality-wise, though, page nine does give a glimpse of what might be a town-Spiffeh.

This is still shitty

Spiffeh wrote:Like especially since saying I caught her in Mafiaception is just wrong

It looks like she made up a reason to town read me because scum reading me wasn't going over well/gaining any traction

Spiffeh wrote:Cakez and Ranger in particular are way too complacent with the most popular wagons today being their top two scum reads and doing no further digging beyond that

Ya I agree Swords was scummy but the only other thing that really applies is the read changing on you which isn't enough for a vote alone.
The wagon complacency is iffy because I'm guilty of the same thing and I'm town so :/

@Rob: I am not voting anyone atm.

Last second scrambles suck so much. I am still going to figure out who to vote.

But right now I am going to watch the NCAA championship, after which I will either be (a) celebrating or (b) too depressed to do anything else.
