If thor flips mafia I'm going to be a pretty happy camper. If we get a night cop check or vig shot on mafia to boot I'll be a SUPER happy camper. I'll probably still want ploben, but will at least listen to the ranger case.

Anyway, hammer is down, it's twilight, if anyone has thoughts they want on record before mod closes now's the time. My list is about what it was before. Two key changes/notes:

1) I haven't liked flor at all lately, definitely need to look at him more closely N1 and D2.

2) If Thor flips green, I'm going to take a much harder look at Dunn tomorrow. Thor's push felt reachy, but if it was actually genuine then I'll need to more seriously re-evaluate what he'd said.

There are a lot of high volume posters in this game. Also, the game DRAGGED towards the finish, in part because there were pretty consistent "lynch ploben" and "don't lynch ploben" factions, which generally seemed to be pretty balanced. Games dragging this long isn't a good thing, but it is what it is. Here's to hoping we're under 1,000 posts for D2.

How does a "claim check out" in this setup?

If mafia picked either no mods or 1 mod, they get a 60%/40% chance respectively of successfully fake claiming a pr role.

There is only one role to be claimed that wouldn't warrant a lynch anyway IMO, and that's vigilante

In my opinion, Vigilante is the one role you DO want to policy lynch. A Vigilante is, for all practical purposes, highly Negative Utility. They are more likely to shoot Town than scum, ruining Town's chances near LyLo.

For example, at the day before LyLo, if Town mislynches and the Vig miskills, Town lose. If there was no Vig at all, Town could go to a LyLo. A Vig is more likely to miskills here than kill correctly.

If you let them live, have the entire Town call who they will shoot, as if it were a second lynch. A Vigilante should then always kill that player, regardless of how much they townread them. It stops bad Vigs from destroying the Town.

When you think about it, a Vig is just a Town-aligned Serial Killer.

I completely agree. If I leave it for just a few hours, pages turn up.

The Vig should kill Ploben. They were the second biggest wagon. Thus we can achieve a Town dictating the Vig's kills.

See the start of Newbie 1708. The Vig is my most hated role. If I make a setup myself, unless it is a bastard, you will never see a Vig. It's like adding a Serial Killer and expecting it to count as a Town PR.
