Hey finally something new from someone, I like it.In post 1617, Klick wrote:I think Bell is hyper-aware of how he's perceived by others in a way that I see as likely coming from scumIn post 1591, T-Bone wrote:Tell me about why you put Bell here.
Funny thing, I had that very same thought at the start of the game, until one moment I was checking the player list and re-read the rule. Interesting. In post 1683, Dwlee99 wrote:Oh I'm silly. For some reason I thought that alignment wasn't revealed and was thinking this game was going to be a total pain to figure outIn post 1, Save The Dragons wrote:Roles are not revealed upon kills, but alignment is. Good posting. In post 1739, Galron wrote:See I'm not hip on scum BBt right now. It's too easy to catch a scum read early and then every thing you do comes under heavier scrutiny and is presumed scummy. Rebutting that presumption puts you on the defensive and THAT looks bad. It just kinda snowballs.
PoE as in process of elimination? Like you mostly townlean the rest of the player list or what? I'm not following what you're saying. In post 1741, Frogsterking wrote:It was based on PoE, not interactions. In post 1591, T-Bone wrote:One scum in Roden/BBT/Corwin is such an eclectic group to tie together. What interactions do they have that leads you to believe all this?
I'm rethinking my PoE based on Rad's point about Blue's activity levels, my new take last night that Roden is townie, and CSF's initial gut take that Corwin is townie.
Assuming that my PoE was wrong, which seems likely, there is at least one scum who is collecting town reads, and Corwin/BBT/Roden may be getting scapegoated to some extent. I think Ceph is a great example of a slot who fits what I'm looking for and is playing well within their scum range.
To be fair, he wasn't the only one. Re:Bell against well...you, for example. So like you're right that it's bad/scummy, but it's not unique to Frogster. In post 1763, Corwinoid wrote:It concerns me, though, that Frog conveniently forgot about mala who's been both low activity and low content when she is posting. It annoyed the hell out of me that people were up my ass for dealing with life issues, when mala's getting a pass with posts likeActually that he's looking at every *other* low activity player is bothersome. In post 1367, Malakittens wrote:mew
Okay, Luke is right that white diagonal is satisfying. I thought this exercise was silly and didn't want to impede your fun but okay I buy it, at least so far for the pretty visuals. In post 1827, PookyTheMagicalBear wrote:Spoiler: Readlists So Far

Confirm town this manIn post 1847, Cephrir wrote:Let me help you with your vca argument: counterwagons are a fake concept 99 times out of 100
Mala hasn’t really done jack except make an odd rvs vote on us and give an enthusiastic tr on Luke.In post 1849, Corwinoid wrote:Reads change, he's showing no interest in re-evaluating her while mudslinging half a dozen other people for exactly the same things. And why does this bother you so much?In post 1843, Corwinoid wrote:Holy shit dude, you made a read ~52 pages ago based on the start of the game, FoSed every other inactive player, and never looked twice at your very early read even given the "content" of her posts. And you don't think that's giving that slot a pass?In post 1823, Frogsterking wrote:@CorwinThis is possibly a contrived attempt at pretend-solving, I specifically decided to town bin Mala around the time I posted 482. That was my main motivation for sharing that comment in 482. Mala isn't mentioned again because I had no new takes on the slot. That's not difficult to understand. If you're town and this isn't pretend-solving, then stop shading my slot for no reason. In post 1768, Corwinoid wrote:You want to help me out with that, because your mentions of mala in your iso go from "I have played scum with scum!Mala and town with scum!Mala and I admit their start seems a little different in this game." in 482, to town binning her for pooky's spreadsheet at 1260, to not mentioning her again a single time (at least by name) until just now.In post 1765, Frogsterking wrote:Not true, Luke and I both TR Mala slot. You can find the exact point I decided to rule out the Mala slot for D1 in my iso.
I thought you were getting run up pretty flimsyily but I do not like this. The last time I saw this argument both players were scum lol. How strange. In post 1837, BlueBloodedToffee wrote:My man, Frog!
If anyone still thinks Frog is scum, you need to give your head a wobble.
I'm the counter to his wagon and EVERYONE is scum reading me. It's so easy for scum!Frog to go along with this to kill his wagon completely.
Frog is town. So am I. Now go find scum. Thanks.
Not true, while obviously not foolproof, they are often far more useful than that.In post 1847, Cephrir wrote:Let me help you with your vca argument: counterwagons are a fake concept 99 times out of 100

im not interested in an extended argument about how probability works since it invariably convinces no one of anything, so i will just stop at "that isn't how probability works"In post 1855, Dancing Puppets wrote:Not true, while obviously not foolproof, they are often far more useful than that.In post 1847, Cephrir wrote:Let me help you with your vca argument: counterwagons are a fake concept 99 times out of 100
VCAs for example rarely have two competing scumwagons though it does happen, so in like approximately 78% of cases, if you flip scum. the cw is statistically highly likely to be town.

+1 with the exception if anyone here is a stats teacher. I've been persuaded once before using probability by a retired stats teacher. In post 1857, Cephrir wrote:im not interested in an extended argument about how probability works since it invariably convinces no one of anything, so i will just stop at "that isn't how probability works"In post 1855, Dancing Puppets wrote:Not true, while obviously not foolproof, they are often far more useful than that.In post 1847, Cephrir wrote:Let me help you with your vca argument: counterwagons are a fake concept 99 times out of 100

I am... actually surprised how acceptable I find this.In post 1860, Cephrir wrote:granted ill reeval if mala continues to do nothing but im way happier with her than other low content slots right now so i can certainly understand how frogsterking arrived at the same conclusion
I have a math degree. I hate explaining math to people. Unless it's incredibly relevant I'm keeping 'real' stats out of my entertainment life.In post 1864, Frogsterking wrote:+1 with the exception if anyone here is a stats teacher. Like it’s still early so could obviously mean anything but I was recently in a game with her where she did nothing as scum, so I’m not currently tr her.In post 1860, Cephrir wrote:granted ill reeval if mala continues to do nothing but im way happier with her than other low content slots right now so i can certainly understand how frogsterking arrived at the same conclusion
Also not how stats works. In post 1867, BlueBloodedToffee wrote:Ewwww.In post 1854, T-Bone wrote: I thought you were getting run up pretty flimsyily but I do not like this. The last time I saw this argument both players were scum lol. How strange.
The last time I got wagoned I was town. So what?
I don’t sr anything she’s posted but I don’t have any kind of read on her yet.In post 1863, Cephrir wrote:no, im suggesting that what little she has done is readableIn post 1862, Dancing Puppets wrote:Are you disagreeing with this?In post 1858, Cephrir wrote:~~~~~~~~~~~tone~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~In post 1853, Dancing Puppets wrote:Mala hasn’t really done jack except make an odd rvs vote on us and give an enthusiastic tr on Luke.
